Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Do you usually pull the tie downs out?

Hi, AdaminCO!
I usually leave them on until they're done stretching, because indoors I need to keep them on the shorter side, if possible. (37" from light to floor) If one branch is giving me a problem,I'll leave them on that one till almost the end.
The one that's a semi houseplant now had the restraints removed about a month ago,but it's holding it's quadline shape pretty well on it's own.

I was just saying that, even if one of the parents is an auto, you will not get autos in the F1 if the other parent has absolutely zero auto genes.

Auto flowering is a recessive gene. So if an auto is bred with a photo that has no auto genes, the offspring will have auto genes, but will not express them. The F1s will pass on auto genes to the F2 generation.

100% of the F1s will have 1 recessive auto gene and 1 dominant photo gene (non expressive)
50% of the F2s will have the same 1 recessive auto gene, 1 dominant photo gene (non expressive).
25% of the F2s will have 2 dominate photo genes (non expressive and non recessive)
25% of the F2s will have 2 recessive auto genes (expressive)

I hope that helps clear things up

So I'm never going to hear the end of that one...
Yeah, you might as well jot that down in the calendar... treat it as a new anniversary!

Did you know that if you put certain LOL Dolls in the fridge, their hair turns pink!
:thedoubletake: Guess who’s buying them selves some more LOL dolls! (This guy) :cheesygrinsmiley: [mutters under my breath] “I’m going to have so much fun with these!”

She was fine all day yesterday, and eating everything in sight, so I'm pretty sure she's cured..
That’s great to hear! :circle-of-love:
, Mrs.C. said "Mmmm, skunky!"....her attitude has sure changed in the last year or so...
Sooo... that means she’s going to start experimenting with stronger drugs now? Doesn’t she know, that the marijuana is a gateway drug! :thedoubletake:

The dad was a bagseed from my son back in 2016,so there's a slight possibility he contributed some auto genes...but I think the wonky light schedule is probably why it's flowering now...it's just confused
Yeah, you might as well jot that down in the calendar
She can just mix it in with her list of "times he was wrong" that she keeps in her memory banks :)
Guess who’s buying them selves some more LOL dolls!
Me too - She'll be 4 on April first, which she casually reminded me all day yesterday..
that means she’s going to start experimenting with stronger drugs now?
"Stronger Drugs" to her is eating a whole gummy bear, instead of just half...:)

That was extremely helpful! Thank you :thanks:

You know now that I think about it. I don’t think you necessarily need to go to F3 to have seeds that 100% autoflower. You could probably make S1s out of one of the F2 autoflower expressing females. That would result in S1s that are feminized autos. Or You could even make feminized F3 seeds.

you know @carcass. I think it would behoove you to cross 2 of those seeds you’ve got. And pollinate her a ton. You’d get a big batch of seed that produce true breeding autos 25% of the time. By crossing two of those... bingo, autos. Only question would be: Do you care to dabble with colloidal silver to make yourself some feminized seeds?

Do you care to dabble with colloidal silver to make yourself some feminized seeds?
I've thought about it, and it's something I may do with a couple of those plants in my outdoor grow,a little later on in the year (after the wedding reception at my house on April 5).
This plant is kind of a tester-If the smoke is good enough to continue this line, then I'll do the colloidal
silver procedure- If not, I'll wait for something worth processing with the silver.
Which would be best to use for the procedure?-Colloidal Silver,or Silver Thiosulfate- I've seen people using both, and it seems like the ST might be a little easier to use.

People have success with both products, I’m not sure if the procedure is the same for both, I can’t imagine it’s too different. I like the way @beez0404 uses CS, seems more controlled and less wasteful.

I like the way @beez0404 uses CS,
I'll do some research on both procedures, since I've got some time before I actually do it.
@Old Salt 's "Multi-Strain Seed Run" has a lot of good info on using ST - he was kind enough to index
the info so it's easy to find in the thread. He's had good results with it also.

Thanks,Shed! Lots of excellent info in there!
I just skimmed it now,but I'll read it all before I try any sex reversal stuff...
Homemade feminized seeds would be a pretty cool thing!

It's getting ready to rain, and the indoor/outdoor houseplant needs a little light,so I stuck her in "the box" till the rain blows over...
If you look close, you can see the 2 little autos buried in the back...

Thanks,Chef- She's doing pretty well, considering her wonky light schedule...
I usually don't like to bring outside plants in to the box,so I'm hoping no pests came along for the ride.

Thanks,BL- and congrats again on your double OTM win!
Pretty sure that doesn't happen very often, but you definitely deserve it :bravo:
Keep doing what you've been doing, you're a big part of what makes this forum the great place that it is!

Thanks carcass! It really means a lot! The carcass family holds a big spot in my heart, and it really means a lot to hear you say that!! :Namaste::high-five:

Good Monday morning afternoon!
Time for a little update on what's growing in the ol' box,and what's growing out of the box...

One of the autos is growing fine, and the mutant that I had to top 2 weeks ago is growing ,but slowly...
CBD Pink Kush on the left, mutant Alaskan Purple on the right:

They're both still pretty short....
1583175215986.jpeg

This one's grown a lot this week-she's been flowering for ten days now,so a couple more days of training, then it's time to let her go...(PK) She's 26 days old today
1583175449717.jpeg

And the mutant AP isn't flowering yet, which is one reason it's growing slowly....I don't think this one is going to amount to much because of the whole mutant thing...time will tell.
1583175653378.jpeg

That's it for in the box, so now we'll check on the part-time houseplant- she's outside right now, soaking up some sun...I'll continue bringing her in at night-it's too damn cold outside to leave her out...and if she's in the house, the moths cant lay their eggs on her at night, so that might help keep the caterpillars in check.

She's been flowering for 12 days now- she's grown 4" this week, still only 15" tall.
1583176211739.jpeg

She's getting 6g of Mega Crop with every watering, which is every other
day right now-she's a thirsty one...
1583176490937.jpeg

And one more thing-I clipped a clone from her^^ 12 days ago,and it seems to be alive and starting to grow a little
1583177321788.jpeg

So, if this clone makes it, I think it should answer the question about whether mom is an auto or not...
If it keeps flowering under 19/5 lights, she's an auto- if it stops flowering, and just grows-she's a photo....

Either way,it'll end up planted outside, shortly after the upcoming wedding reception.

New granddaughter update: The kids brought her over yesterday, she's doing great-putting on weight and all that- she's up to 6.6 pounds now (about half what my cat weighs) and she spent a good part of the day
sleeping (like a baby) on my lap while her mom and the bride to be worked out some kinks in the wedding reception plans...

That's about all there is for this update....
Thanks for looking- I appreciate the support!
Be back with another update in about a week or so...
Have a great week!:peace:
