how fast do you raise your lights power ? I was thinking about maybe every 4-5 days but waiting a day in between B4 raising again. That sound bout right 2U? CL

I bumped my lux up a little every 4-5 days as the plants seemed to get used to the new power. There's a pretty wide range of suggestions for lux at each stage of growth, so as long as you do it slowly and keep an eye on the plants you should be good!

Hey Captain.......Why all the perlite on the top of the Ocean Forest?Journal Update: I got my Durban uppoted today. The roots weren’t as healthy as I expected. I don’t know why they didn’t grow to the bottom of the solo. I still mixed bokashi with the FFOF and used @DYNOMYCO on the roots n in the hole. Also topped it off with some perlite. I wetted the bokashi n Myco too. My Mother’s Polish caregiver also cleans the house and moved my grow bags. So I have to wait until tonight to find them to uppot my Chemdog. Smh CL

What you’re supposed to do is cover the entire area with it n then create a moat around the edges. So when you water it goes around the edge making the roots chase it. Creating a bigger rootball. Big roots = bigger buds. CL

@Bill284 Method I use layers of perlite to retain air in my pots.
Gets fantastic root growth and health.
I have a dozen pictorials if your interested.

No the opposite is what I'm looking for. Air in the pot with roots and nutrients.
I feed daily so air was a concern.
Providing layer's of perlite give roots easy access to air and a simple path for growth.
Directly to the outside edges of my air pots or bags.
Win win situation.
I use Bokashi, Frass & DYNOMYCO to increase root health and growth.
Big plants need a big healthy root base to feed all the buds you want

I grow lots of roots for that reason.
I feed max, full strength nutrients veg and flower.
This creates large healthy girls who have no problems come flower time.
I get them eating as much as possible as soon as possible.
Roots are key to everything. Imo.
Take care of your roots and the buds will magically appear.

I'm Coo Coo for Cocopuffs.....I completely understand. 
I have pictorials at the beginning my threads showing how to start in solos and repot to bigger pots.
This works in any pot.
Makes an improvement over all.
But air pots are my favorite.
It works so well in airports.
With constant access to air.

I’ll help any way I can, just ask questions and we can work together to improve harvest quality and quantity.
It’s a brilliant method and I show lots of tips in there.
