CaptainLucky's Canuk Seeds Comparative Grow 2023

Will this practice work with FFOF or is it strictly for coir as a medium?
Cap’n is 100% right.
I ran soil in the greenhouse first year.
I fed full strength nutrients to them in soil
every day to runoff’.
Plants were huge and healthy.
It’ll work in any pot with any medium.
Definite improvement in root health and growth.
I found that root health and size is key to production of big dank buds.
Sure lots can grow big in smaller pots.
But healthy roots in there is key.
All the p & k needed in flower requires healthy vigorous roots to provide it.
Good genetics and a healthy full pot will give good results.
Have a look and we can talk.

Stay safe

I can vouch for Bill’s methods although I took from his and kind of made my own with less ingredients and work. lol CL🍀

I tried a grow with frass/bokashi in small pots without much success
Now I'm using 10g/L powdered fish/blood/bone mixed into coco, does the same job

I use frass, bokashi and DynoMyco in 5gl. gro bags with FFOF and have good results. CL🍀 Edit: I don’t do the layering but usually add perlite on top for the moat.

Those are nutrients.
Bokashi,Dynomyco and Frass & Dazzle 0.0.0 are amendments to improve root health & growth.
Improves nutrient uptake without adding nutrients. :Namaste:

Use any part you like. :thumb:
If it improves things that's all that matters.
Morning Cap'n. :ciao:
Are you staying warm?

It’s 40 degrees now and it’s all turning to slush. Heavy as hell and heart attack making. Tonight it’s all gonna freeze! 🥶 Bad times getting worse! CL🍀

:welcome:Journal Update: I’m not sure exactly what’s going on with my ladies. All were fed/watered till runoff today. My Durban n Chemdog were watered and the rest got PB. I lowered the ec on them a little more. All are looking too dark green but I can’t see how they would be getting too much N? I noticed some leaves twisting so maybe 🤔 it’s also a heat issue. But I figured out how to fix that by opening a window slightly. The light is on its lowest setting so nothing I can do about that. I still haven’t decided on what I’m gonna quad line but I will sort it out soon. Hope everyone is doing well, happy growing n stay safe. CL🍀 :thanks:

So nice to see the 4x4 back in action again after all these months!
It’s really nice because it makes my bedroom nice and toasty. I also have learned my lesson from last year about what hours to have the light on. So now when it’s warmer in a few months in the day it’s off. lol CL🍀.

I’m going to be growing an Elite strain of Acapulco Gold and Lambs Bread Sponsored by @Canuk Seeds indoors in soil. Using Prescription Blend nutrients.
I’ve grown the Acapulco Gold and it was very easy. Mine were photoperiod from Barney’s Farm I believe. Plan to grow again soon.

I don’t grow auto’s and as you know from the title of my journal that these are from @Canuk Seeds. I only grow Sativas to but this is my first AG + LB. I think 🤔 before I flip them I’ll learn their sweet spot. But unfortunately until then they won’t be 100 %. But if you have any tips I’ll listen 🎧. CL🍀 :thanks:

Normally I don’t grow Autos, I got the seeds as a freebie in another seed order. So I really don’t know squat about them. I prefer Indica because of my PTSD and Indica keeps my panic attacks at a minimum. I’ll grow sativa for my wife.

Lots of great auto growers here and if you’re interested in learning more about them you should check out @Jon or @LKABudMan. Both of them grow some really nice plants 🪴. CL🍀. :thumb: :headbanger:

Captain…all doing well. Possible the leaf twist is from too much direct air from one of your small fans? Cheers

I appreciate the thought but I never put my plants in direct airflow from the fans. I’m really more concerned with how they’re getting too much N? I know from past experiences that most Sativas don’t like much. But I lowered the ec on all my Canuk seeds and the Durban n Chemdog are now getting just water. But I fed them both PB once so they could still be showing from that. That wouldn’t explain why the Chemdog because it’s the only Indica hybrid. Idk I’ll figure something out before they get flipped hopefully. CL🍀. :thanks:
