Way too hot!...DANGER!!!!!!!....chicken poop is generally allowed one to two years to cook and cool down!!!!

They have chickensulation......you know what that white stuff is on top of the chickenshit?....more chickenshit! I suspect that some of the salmonella, and other bad stuff that people are getting from veggies comes from the use of chicken manure in fertilizers. I have also heard that it's possibly coming from farm workers defecating in the fields rather than using the porta potties. This is just stuff I've heard from farmers at breakfast in the coffee shops, no definitive proof.

Excuse me, it's he ecoli bacteria that they were talking about.....I recollected more as I was thinking about it. Just think of that chicken butt; an egg comes out of it!, it must require some extra protection of some type. The chickens get grain fed, the kind of poop that you want comes from animals that eat grasses....like horses, cows, rabbits ect.......rabbit is even pretty hot, but it cools down quicker than chicken poo. If you want to interject some nitrogen and object to urine, you could also get some alfalfa hay and make a tea with it....or better yet, rabbit food. Now I'll tell you I've never done this, so as to the potency of the stuff, you can probly look around and get some basic guidelines on the net. I'm still a fan of human urine, I don't take any meds except for the cannabis....so my pee is clean. Urine is sterile and one of the purest forms of readily available nitrogen. I also have a reference for human urine, which is 1 part urine 10 parts water. I make the stuff and apply it immediately....like right now. The thing is with indoor gardens is that we only have so much time when our plants go into flower.......a day gone is a bigger deal when you only have around 60 to finish, with outdoors we have more time and the plants can recover....if recover is the right word....to a healthier state in preparation for the finish.....which involves the flush and they're getting nothing.

Hey USMCO, it's sources of nitrogen...believe it or not. LOL There is a sponsor here that actually sells "Fake" human urine to use on growing. (and I think to use in drug testing too)
When I first started reading threads and this subject came up, I was kind of wierded out by it too, but there are a LOT of growers who use it and swear by it.
I have some "Doe pee" and "fox urine" in bottles that we purchased and used to use for attracting animals when hunting, so using this stuff has been around for a very long time, albeit not in the same sense as we're talking!
I just can't get past the idea, so I'm looking for another source. Animal "droppings", if you will, are also a source of nitrogen.
So that's what all the talk is about. :laugh:

On the subject of poo and pee, my bro got a composting toilet. It's pretty cool, after the business is done you just put a scoop of this sawdusty looking stuff in it and bob's your uncle! You turn the crank on it which is located outside.....and out comes lovely soil-like compost. The product that came out smelled......that's right......smelled like rich soil, dark. He plans on putting the waste from his harvest inside it instead of the sawdusty stuff.......the whole thing works for free....no water, no leach field........no plumbing!

I love my butter machine, I don't make much butter cuz I'm generally afraid of edibles..........I think I musta od'd on em cuz I definitely don't like felling like that at my ripe age! But when I do make butter....I just set it and forget it! The folks I've made it for says it's a fine product and are always willing to test it for me....LOL!

Ya, they do everything with the cookin part for you, I also make infused coconut oil and glycerin oil. I will say however that the alcohol that I washed my screen bags with after making hash is my favorite. When I was in cali we used all the cannabis products that we could get our hands on during harvest. Everyone was sore and we didn't have a masseuses......LOL....this year and someone suggested that I use this tincture I guess you could call it. I loved it and made my own when I got home, it relieves pain for 4-6 hours......and I mean it works.....not like a damn aspirin....real pan relief.....in a very lovely manner!

Yep, as soon as I get my first harvest in it will be butter and tinctures and a recipe for a cream that beemerbill did. I put a folder in my blog just for the recipes so I can be prepared for them. Can't wait!
Hey, did I read that you met and worked a bit with Jorge Cervantes during your recent trip away? I would love to meet that guy!

Nope, never met him, he is buddies at a nursery supply company I'm familiar with...he gives em a plug in a book of his that I have. I would like to meet him as I take a lot of stock in his and Rosenthals' work. My philosophy about the ganja is a mix between those two and my formal training. Both are great authorities on the cannabis, and while having some differences in philosophies, they still never violate the fundamental rules of plant growth and development.

Hi Jay, yes I have. I like the idea of putting it into a machine and walking away. LOL

I had a good scare this morning, went in to check the clones and thought I saw spider mites! Upon close inspection of the underside of the leaves with the loupe it turned out to be little particles of dirt from the transplanting. :phew:

Anybody here have any luck with repairing broken stems or know of a member that is familiar with trying to save one? A new grower needs some input on one if possible. Here's his thread.
