I have a question for the group regarding the changes with the new software here.

The "Likes" feature on the posts, it shows the names of the members who "liked" the post and if there are more than 4 or 5 (I don't know the exact limit number), it will show how many "others" liked it.

Here's a reference pic:

Before the software update we used to be able to click where it says "5 others", and it would automatically show the "others" names in that same box. Right?

Let's be sure my computers and cell phones haven't been making those "others" names appear in that box out of magic the last couple of years when I clicked on it. LOL

Could someone other than myself try this now that the software has been updated and let me know if you get directed to another page that says "Entries"?

Oh one more thing,

I've been playing with the video on the phone trying to figure out some technical problems between that and my movie editor, I did a walk through of my grow. Amateurish at best, but if enough of you would like to view just "like" this post and I will go ahead with an upload tomorrow. As I said, just a walk through no frills no fancies.

Me too. Yep, takes me to another page to show me the list of the likers. It used to just expand the list in place and show everyone under the post.

Gotta love updates!

Thank you Dr Bob, and Brother dear! I had to make sure it wasn't just my 'puter here. LOL

I like most of the changes with the new software, this one not so much.

People who are multi-tasking as much as I am on the net, with slower connections, do not need to wait for yet another page to load. And I do mean wait, with this connection. LOL
It was so fast and easy before, and I didn't have to leave home (the page) to see it.
Eh....just have to deal with it ..... the good with the not so goods..

A'ighty...Everybody got a drink and a little Cal/Mag for those that needed it.

Some training time downstairs and upstairs for the newer kids. They really needed it. ;-)

The two top gal flower clones are starting their training today. I'll probably be removing a couple big fan leaves in a few days, after they've adjusted to the strap downs:

Well, the walk through video will have to wait until tomorrow. I am out of time today. I got sidetracked constructing something after an idea hit me from PeeJay's thread.

Geez, you guys are really gonna have to push me to train when I get started back up. I watch you guys in amazement. I honestly can't explain why I resist it so, because it works! If I'm going to insist on growing small plants I have a responsibility to get them to perform better.

Sorry Canna, didn't know that needed released. LOL! I'm serious though. Ride me hard. :Love:

No, they aren't different colors. It's the combination of LED lighting and the mylar reflecting it and the camera flash on my phone that does that.
I'm digging out a very old polaroid movie light tomorrow to see if I can solve this dilemma of limited area flash coverage. Or....my high power light that was used for "shining" on herds of deer at night....hmmm

Dang it! You got my mind spinning and I'm supposed to be going to bed!

Just think of it as "boot camp" for the younger kids, so they learn to grow strong and powerful.

Man things move fast around here! Lil purp looks great though.

I have always resisted topping and training that way and have continued to be the LST addict. I really wanna "branch out" :laugh: and do some topping though. Looks fun!

In regards to the new system on the Likes bar taking us to a new page, 420 has stated that he asked the developers to revert that back to the way it was before.

Okay, here's my incredibly amateurish walk through of the grow. LOL
I am not impressed with the focusing speed of the Galaxy smart phone, there are many features I like...but that doesn't cut it for me.
You will see that in the video.

Also, on the video I said that I didn't see any real seeds on the Himher, but I went in with a loupe a few minutes ago and did find some. So at least we're getting something out of the problem child. :)

AND, for some reason the light on the phone didn't work in the end. I think I'll be making use of the actual video camera for any future longer vids. :)

I recently tried topping for he first time Bob and I did it following Graytail's lead, waiting until the plant was around a foot or so. He'd discovered that if you wait that long, instead of trying to force them into the flip earlier, you got a plant just ripe for some quick LST - just gentle bending and tucking, mind you - that would almost train itself within a week to a sweet, level canopy.

I was a bit hesitant to try to mimic someone this talented on such a public stage, but I studied him closely, watched my plant carefully and chose my moment. That Carnival never skipped a beat and had a beautiful, level canopy established within four days that she's maintained right through flowering. It's an approach that I'd highly recommend. She is a stunning plant, and I can't wait to try some other techniques with future grows.

I'm working on it, the original post shows "Error" on the video feed, but your reply with the link ...the video works. LOL

Edit: Okay Sue, I went to Youtube and copied the link as it was playing, then edited my post. It works for me now. Let me know if it works for you when you have time. :)

PeeJay, I saw you "liked" the post, did the video play on your end?
