Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

Shhh......do you hear it??......

Listen closely.....

*pop* *pop*...*pop*....

All of the Hyenas have popped, and a few of the others. They look healthy.
A little concerned on the White Widow beans, they are a bit black-ish and the water clouded up a bit. I changed out the water, hopefully they will do okay and pop correctly for me.

I'm getting some hempy pots ready this morning. Just trying to decide which ones to go hempy with and which ones soil. I will have a comparison, maybe the Hyenas or the white widows.

I'd start with a comparison of the hempy product to the flavor memory you are most familiar with.

Obviously you will be comparing size of yield, and hardiness, but you also want to compare quality of product.

If you compare new stuff, your brain buds (taste bud memories in your brain) will think "Hmmm, so this is the new stuff" for both grows, and then you will compare the differences.

If you compare familiar stuff, you will think "Tastes like my brain buds remember" or "Hmmm. It's a bit different than my brain buds remember."

If hempy and soil both go "Tastes like my brain buds remember" you have a keeper, even if you can taste the difference between the two.

(I'm all for being a connoisseur, but if the house taste buds like a 1.5L Barefoot Pink Moscato for $9, that's a good house wine.)

Good points, as usual Radogast. Glad you stick around here.
I'll go with what I know, the White Widow for sure. Hope they pop!

Darkstar 1 lost a few shoots....

I took four small ones from her bottom for clones:

Day 36 of Flowering: These are the tops of the Darkstars, full plant pics will have to wait a couple days. There are a lot of red pistils already.

The malformed bud at the bottom of Darkstar #1 doesn't look much like a caterpillar anymore.

That there is a Polyploid.. take clones and re-veg. Then seeds. This plant will have higher concentration of THC.

Quote from a well known breeder:
"Polyploid is a natural mutation in which a cell acquires one or more additional sets of chromosomes. Cannabis plants are usually diploid (2X), which means that they have two complete sets of chromosomes. Those being Polyploids have a higher number of chromosomes sets, so there can be triploid (3X), tetraploid (4X) individuals, etc."

Not really consider that a malformation... more like identical twins in the same plant one set of roots. 2X the goodness!!

So there's that... good project for ya!!

Congrats on your harvest ... I got some drool there with that Blueberry Cheese... frost has frost ... great job buddy! :thumb:

Nice DIY lamps bro.. I bet the frost that the frost is due to the new lamps.

First time I saw those lamps I was like.... is that my oven rack...why no that is a COB setup for frostiness. Props...yer kicking it, almost like the flowers are growing out of the snow... and just kept the icy frosting on the flowers. I bet if you look hard nuf while puffing e'nuf, the ice is melting.... the frost is frosting and the purps are purpling.... and wait for it....... :passitleft:

Thank you for the information, I will definitely use it in the future

I wish, been back in the cold and wet of England for almost 2 weeks. Managed to keep myself out of trouble tho so not all bad :)

We've just had more snow than we've had nearly all winter. Typical Scottish spring .

Radogast,

I was reading a little on the strain and they are reportedly known for their "copper" and white pistils. So, apparently showing the reddish so early is normal. I am really excited about these girls though, and 5 weeks is going to be a looooong time.
They are needing water daily now, very thirsty girls. I'm giving the nutes and a little cal/mag with every other watering. It seems to be doing well so far. Might have to change to every third watering, but if it ain't broke...don't fix it.

Bignugz420, I think you meant pistils, not trichomes. :) And yes, there's a bunch of pistils on that one! :thumb:

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

Canna, I know 10 weeks is a lot, but I love having my 8, 9, and 10 week strains so I am harvesting 3 weeks out of every month to achieve the perpetual extraordinaire....I don't even look at the trichs anymore, I harvest this strain 10 weeks on the dot.....I am a sativa girl, but my patients have led me into the indicas and they go wild over this strain over the last 2 years.....so great for pain, CCO for cancer (per Cajun); I just can't believe the feedback I get. I also have an insomnia patient who swears by it.....a really fun strain to grow, beautiful pheno; 2 thumbs up! And you're hitting it out of the park!

I got a Cannatonic up under the veg light....can't wait to experience this one now.....gawd, I love growing this plant.....:yahoo:

My second seed order, I had 5 of 5 seeds fail to germinate. I contacted the vendor and they sent me 5 replacement seeds. All of those seeds germinated, even the one I waited 2 years to plant.

so ...

Might just be you paid for bad seeds.
