Just in case my Purples don't make it, I dropped a Barney's Farm Pineapple Chunk seed in to germ tonight.
When I first looked at this little seed it looked very very green. The packing card window is tinted green, so I thought that must be the reason.
However, when I got the seed out..it's a very light tan, almost no mottling pattern anywhere, and as close as you can get to still green. IMO

I sure hope it germs.

Thanks so much for the Pic Yankeetoker! I don't know why I didn't pull this seed out to germ when I started all these a few days ago. I've been wanting to grow a pineapple strain since I started growing. I only have the one seed.....I think. I need to go through them tomorrow.

Beautiful plant! Lots of pistils yet? You've come a long way! Congrats.

hi Cannafan good luck with your pineapple. i'd love to watch it - i had a couple of those seeds once but i couldn't get them to germ LOL

Interesting post last night by 777hrd on the Mars Hydro contest thread. It is about cross breeding of Autos and Photos. Magic Man, you will be interested in this for sure. And GreenSmurf, I pointed him to the thread you created to see if he can answer any of the questions you come up with as you dive into this.

Also, I found that post (it was actually an article) he wrote on a site about breeding Auto flowering, posted by a member named "grubbycup". If you do a search on google for "Breeding Auto-Flowering Cannabis Strains" you will come up with the site. I can't post it here, it's a competing magazine type of thing.

But you might get some additional info there, if you're interested.

The hydrogen peroxide trick worked. I have one Purple Paralysis open and tap root showing. YEY I'll be putting the one in plain water into the hydro mixture. The Pineapple chunk has cracked as well, so off to the paper towels for a day.

We've got a major rain and thunderstorm going on right now. Those outside plants are most certainly getting a flush again. Had I been up in time, I would have moved them into the garage...but I'm not going out there in hail conditions and all that lightning right over my head.

I may not have to use my reserve ladies, I'll just wait for the fresh ones.

I found a few of them hanging around the exhaust fan on the ceiling, I may have lost a few to the outdoors. That's fine. But, I am going to cover that exhaust fan up for a little while.

Trichomes report on Auto Fast n Vast x Master Kush is clear to mostly milky:

Yep, you see that thing in the right corner? I was ready to scream. It looked very similar to those scale insects and there were several of them on two small leaves in there.

Closer inspections with the loupe and I determined it to hopefully be bug droppings. Nothing was moving and there was no sign of legs or anything. Bug poo looks a lot different when it's wet.

Maybe they are just bored on a rainy day like me. I like your thinking though, Greensmurf.

Okay, good news all. I have three of three Purple Paralysis that have cracked. Two have white tap roots showing, and the third one is the stubborn child from a few days ago. She has finally split her britches in the Hydrogen P and water mix. I don't see any white yet, but after a couple hours more or so she's headed for the paper towel. Looks a bit beat up, but at least she's open.

I also have Caramelo in the towels, she has a nice white tap showing.

And I'll admit here, these final two pics are just because I was enjoying the bubbles that the hydrogen P creates:

No chance of clearer shots than that because it's through a plastic cup that isn't exactly clear.

Our hardware's don't carry them. Dang it.

This local nursery I have here within a mile or so is such a strange place. I have only come out of that place once with something I was specifically looking for that is used by serious gardeners regularly. (DE powder) When I asked about LadyBugs last week, that chick looked at me like I was a creature from another world.

And I'll never forget asking about bat guano a few years ago, the dude asked if it had an american name? I told him it was dried bat s*it. He said he had never heard of them carrying that. I left.

Is that the same one you had posted to Grizz's journal recently?
