Candy Canna Multi-Strain In Candyland

I’ve used them for all of my seedlings and have been extremely happy with the results - and the price is great!
I'd like to know. I will be starting the garden off with seeds for the first time. Not sure how that's going to work but I need better lighting for sure.

Fingers crossed for you Candy! Hoping the new light intensity setting and a fresh dose of food will get those little ladies back on the right track for you!

:ciao: @Virgin Ground turned me on to some seedling lights last year and they are awesome. I think they were $20 on Amazon. They are just thin panels and have zero heat coming from them. I’ve used them for all of my seedlings and have been extremely happy with the results - and the price is great! Lemme know if you are interested in checking them out and I’ll DM you the info.
:thanks: Boo! Yes please DM me!
I’d love to watch and learn if you don’t mind Candy.
Hi Lisa :ciao:and :welcome: to my garden!
Fingers crossed for you Candy! Hoping the new light intensity setting and a fresh dose of food will get those little ladies back on the right track for you!
:thanks: N! I’m hoping they get back on track here real soon! It seems each grow comes with new and different challenges but I reckon that’s how we learn. :)

@MrSauga I was so wrapped up in my seedlings I forgot to ask you if you could help me with a stronger potion for my GSC and BK?
They have about 3-4 weeks to go and that BK is yellowing out pretty bad now, the GSC is lighter but not as bad yet  here’s some quick pics from today. Thank you again for all your help and magical potions!:hugs:

Have a good weekend!
:thanks:

I hope you have a great weekend too! :hugs:

Well I think the BB and WC are goners they are in deaths door. :( Now SS is starting to act up and one bottom leaf on the CH+ has funky tip starting. My best guess is it’s got to be the soil something at the root area and my guess is fungus nats. I’ve been using BT bit treated water with any and all waterings and had BT bits a couple layers down in the soil but I don’t see any improvement. Been letting them dry completely out as directed from GWE and as soon as the top layer dries I put on the DE but when I when checked the sides for moisture on the BB a couple of nats came flying out and I’m seeing them just walking across the top like it’s nothing:rolleyes: I’m at a loss at the moment and just don’t want to wind up losing them all if I can’t figure it out. I’ve had more nats on the yellow flypaper in the past and never had an issue like this before I just don’t know what else it could possibly be. I’ll post up some pics and any input would be so very much appreciated. I want to pop another seed or two because I’m really running out of time before he wants me to be done but now I’m like frozen with anxiety because I still haven’t truly figured it out. I will be getting some fresh soil for sure but even if I get fresh soil couldn’t the nats just go in and infest again if that’s what’s happening now? I don’t know like I said I’ve completely psyched myself out and haven’t been able to decide on what the heck to do.:lot-o-toke:
Here’s some pics of the poor girls

I’ll have one more post with the rest of the pics

Here’s the rest of the pics. Some of the soils look wet because they were litterally just watered the two sickest weren’t ready.
Knock on wood the Skywalker doesn’t seem affected at all. Again any advice/opinions at all would be so greatly appreciated as I’ve done all that I know of to do.

I hope y’all are having a good day or evening and are staying warm if you’re getting hit with this yuck that’s moving thru!
Thank you for stopping by, for the company, and for all the help along the way! :peace::love::Namaste:

Gnats reproduce in the soil. The BT bits work fine but to get the best results you need to have some small fans blowing across the soil. This prevents the gnats from laying their eggs.

I'd almost be inclined to give the worst plant some of the old man on the bag fertilizer to rule out nutrient issues.

I couldn't get my flypaper to work well unless it was pretty much touching the soil. The ones I used come with little stakes that hold the flypaper.
I used those , bt bits in water and a fan. Took just over a week to take care of all my gnats.

Oh. I would also squish, squish, squish them for fun.

I think they were reproducing in the unused soil that I had left over from the last run as I didn’t notice any nats until I did my first bit of watering. :(

I have had an oscillating fan going from just a few days after they were up.. it’s also been helping the top layer of soil drying faster so I can put the DE on. Do you think I should put a second one in there to catch areas that are catching air when it’s passing the other side?
This is how I am set up right now, had to set the fan back a bit because even on 1 she’s pretty windy!

Definitely worth a try as she’s dying anyway if if anything maybe it will make her better possibly. How much do you think? 1-2gr/g?

Does this work? I just put down some fresh ones so I could keep better track.

It’s been since the 1st of the month :( I need to toss that bag of soil as I just thought about it and it’s still in the room!:smokin2:Doy!

Same but more out of annoyance :cheesygrinsmiley:

Thank y’all so much for jumping in!! It’s been stressing me the crap out :nervous-guy: :hugs:

Hi Candy love the Valentines pics and Friday’s . Hate hearing about the gnats that was my worst enemy in hydro . I haven’t been on here as much as I like . Bugs I hate them and with these crazy warm temps we keep getting then the freeze there all trying to get in the house. I started keeping de around all four corners . I know it helped stop these ants bringing in the mites . I’m gonna have to back up in your thread make sure with the @MrSauga didn’t throw any new tricks out there I missed .
I’d gotten ecoworks ec from 420 prizes and it’s for soil but I haven’t heard of anyone using it .
Maybe someone will chime in in it .
I’ll catch up later on these beautiful girls .

Can you stop it from oscillating? You want a constant breeze over the top of the soil so they cant land.

2g's is where I would start. Flush her good with water before adding it to get rid of any nutes from before.

Haha, nothing new my friend. Great to see you!
You also , like I said I have to catch up . I know where your at with the millwright work , your working 24/7 wouldn’t want to do it again unless they want to send me back to Canada just to watch the product run ! Catch you later .
