Candy Canna Multi-Strain In Candyland

The silica shouldn't change once you are at 50 PPM, regardless of the change in MC. Plants can handle good amounts of it so there is no issue.
:thanks:
As you know I have a pencil sharp memory. What type of silica are you using again? Protekt?
Sorry I just realized I didn’t put that info in there! I’m using the Cyco silica

It's a N thing more than anything. I would just run plain water through her for a feeding. If she is green all over then plain water won't hurt her for a feeding or two.
I’ll have to half my RO water with my Tap cuz my tap has a crazy high PPM but that’ll do and thank you!
Yup, but the plain water may be enough to hold her back quicker :).
:thanks:
You betcha, and it's been good so far! I hope yours has been too!
Sweetness great to hear :high-five:and thank you again fir everything:hug:

I'm pretty sure you told me that already. :cheesygrinsmiley:
So it's 3.1 or 3.2g/gal of the Cyco to reach 50 PPM in case you were at another level.
and thank you again fir everything:hug:
Absolutely. Good job! :high-five:

UPDATE
So at the moment I’ve got different doses for each space.. usually doesn’t happen this way but got a couple finicky gals..
So to start these past 2 feeds I’ve had the 4x4 girls on 4gr/g MC 3.1mls/g Silica, 1/2tsp/g Aloe and they all look pretty good and on track so far and getting to the point I really want to flip soon as I know the ASP will more than likely nearly triple during stretch, SSH may only double and the rest I haven’t grow before so we will see!

The 2x2 is holding two of the finicky ladies
Afghani has received 2 feeds of 1/2 RO water mixed with half tap water guesstimating PPM to around 250 if my tap is still as high as last year. She’s definitely starting the fade and showing deficiency now.
The Widow #1 is giving me grief still. She had one feed at 4gr/g MC (same as others on silica and aloe) she looked slightly worse afterwards so then on the feed the day before yesterday I gave 4.5gr/g MC and same of silica and aloe and to me it looks like the mag deficiency is still spreading.
I checked the PH of the soil after sitting for roughly 16 hours came out to 6.3 which is what I PH the feeds to. So she’s good there. Thinking I need to do a rinse and come back maybe at 3-3.5gr/g maybe :hmmmm: Maybe come back with the same for Afghani.. and go from there..
The lighting kept kinda coming out funky in some of these pics so sorry for that. Need to figure out the possible camera functions on this phone might be able to fix that..

Last but not least WW2..still very petite, growing but slowly , good coloring ,always seems generally perky (all these pics were taken yesterday evening not during their prime perky time). she’s still on 3.5gr/g MC, 3.1mls/g silica 1/2 tsp/ g aloe. May not be a bad thing she’s growing so slow as I didn’t think about it but I can only legally have 6 flowering at a time and my hubs sternly reminded me of that. (Another reason I’ve been trying to rack my brain for some cheap backyard privacy ideas incase she does get too big by the time these others are almost done)I think I might have come up with something . Here be the runt fer proof of life

Thank you all for stopping by! I appreciate the company and the support and I hope everyone is well and has a great weekend :Namaste:

Hi Candy!
Nice looking garden!! That Afghani is going to give you trouble right to the end. I think there's some bad genetics going on with her. You rightly noted she is ready for some food. The twisting leaves could be Ca related but I'm leaning more to a genetic thing. There seems to be some variegation going on.

The WW1 looks great. Maybe it's the light but I'm not seeing what you are seeing. The brighter new growth is growing faster that the color can kick in. Even those tips don't look like overfeeding, however I may be inclined to keep at 4g.

A Mg def usually has a thin yellow line going down the center of the leaf. That would be the interveinal chlorosis. What is it that you are seeing that has you concerned? Is it the new growth, old growth?

Yeah my last Afghani that I grew did some funky stuff as well that’s why I decided to grow it again to see if I could get better results because I really liked the smoke but looks like she’s gonna be the cabbage finikster again.

:thanks: I’ll do just that! Do you think 4gr on the Afghani or maybe going with3-3.5gr to start?

I’ll try and get some better pics of my areas of concern, I just can’t get into photos in the tent that I’m seeing with my eyeholes. :lot-o-toke: Some a little older up closer to the top but mostly new. I’ll pull her out to some better lighting and see if I can capture it. Ok scratch most of that I just took some pics and taking her out of the very bright light to living room light turned all the way up she looks A TON better (pretty much mostly verdant to my eyeholes)but snapped a few shots of what I was seeing exaggerated under the intense lighting in the tent. She’s droopy right now because it’s almost nighty night time and she’s feeling pretty light so probably feedin tomorrow!

I’m gonna try and make it happen real soon! Hopefully in the next few weeks give or take. Still mentally working on the design in my head :nerd-with-glasses:

Do you think 4gr on the Afghani or maybe going with3-3.5gr to start?
She can take 4g easily now. I don't think there is any need to reset your soil on any of them.

Ya she looks great. Those tips, if they are lime greenish, are a normal thing to see in FFOF with MC. It's not an overfeed problem, but your right at the limit you want to be. Once she starts to lighten up in color a bit you can increase her feed.

If the tips are yellow, burnt looking it's an overfeed.

Have a great weekend!

:thanks: as always Mr. Man! I hope you had a great weekend and have been having a great week so far!
Looks good, Candy. Not too much that can’t be overcome with some effort anyways!
:thanks: and absolutely!
am sure you’ll come up with a fine solution to your privacy concerns.
I’ve come up with several different ideas..I keep putting what I need for each in my Lowe’s cart online and my bank account keeps saying no! :laughtwo: I’ll keep playing around and I’ll come up with something that my finances agree with.:smokin:also thank you for the props on the plant stands. :) They have been so very handy!
Have a great weekend!

Update
Yesterday I made the decision to get the girls prepped for flip in a few days and gave them a lil defol. I may have kept to many lower leaves but wanted to keep some lower stuff to watch. They have been growing at a pretty fast rate lately and are now asking for food every other day. I fed all but WW2 4gr/g MC , 3.1mls/g Silica and 1/2 tsp/g aloe. I snapped some pics yesterday and then some today and they are all labeled to what’s what but may come up out of order as they for some reason loaded that way.
Here be some proof of life :D

I’ve also been a lil busy with
(The tree is a lil taller was just trying to crop out more but of the background)

I gave the new inside addition a Neem/dr bonners bath as soon as I got it home for just in casies!
Hydro shop guy talked me into Roots Organics as it was the same price as FFOF so gonna give it a whirl. I do like the fluffiness of it for sure so far.
Thank you all for stopping by! I appreciate the support and the company!I hope everyone is having a good week so far!:love:

OMG they look fantastic Candy! Even the Afghani with her genetics looks happier.
:thanks: & Yeah that Afghani looks better but still looks like lettuce or cabbage to me :laughtwo:
Are the tomatoes for outside later in the Spring?
Yes indeed! I’ve got a tomato cage I’m gonna throw on there when it gets closer to time. I read to keep them safe from birds so thinking of a way to kinda protect her somehow. Gonna watch some videos and get some ideas.
The Magnolia is going to be beautiful by the looks of it.
:thanks: and I think she sure is once she gets rockin  supposed to be fairly fast growers and will get up to 20-30ft tall and wide!
I hope you're having a good week!
:thanks: I have been  I hope you are too!

Your plants look amazing, candy!
Sooo many plants, and you keep them all so healthy- you really are an incredible grower, and your plants are some of the best looking on this forum...and yes, that even includes the little cabbagey one :bravo:

:thanks: Sorry it took so long to respond! Been a lot going on and I’m finally mostly back. I’ve missed all of y’all so very much! Update with pics to follow.

The plants and I are alive! Been a lot going on had two deaths in the family. One was my husband’s nephew in law..he and our niece contracted COVID and had secondary health conditions, she made it out of the hospital and he did not. Then at the same time my uncle was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer that had metastasized to other organs and died within around few weeks. He couldn’t even speak and was being fed thru a tube. It just felt all so sudden and I hate that he had to suffer the way he did. He was having some issues for awhile but somehow they missed the cancer until it was too late..
I’ve also been working on the zen privacy area and having to learn about the new plants I’ve been adding. I’ve got one of the walls up and still tweeking with it to decorate it with the new plants that are supposed to deter bad bugs and mosquitoes. It’s been helping me mentally to just zone completely into it. I’ll sneek a pic in when I get it at least close to where I want it.
Ok sorry for the book but here’s proof of life of the girls who are now on 14gr/3g MC , 3.1mls/g Silica and 1/2 tsp/g Aloe
The 21 day defol fell on my uncles memorial so I really had to rush thru it and missed some pics and didn’t have time to post. The pics should hopefully have the comments on them correctly. The Afghani and WW1 really benefitted from the defole as they were so bushy there was a ton in the middle that were yellow from not getting any light

The WW2 is giving me a run for my money :lot-o-toke: She was on 3.5gr/g MC , 3.1mls/g Silica and 1/2tsp/g Aloe for several feedings (always to run-off) then she was showing signs of what I thought was hunger so I bumped her to 4 gr/g MC and she no likey at all so yesterday 4/10/21 I ran 2 gallons of RO water thru her and followed up with 3gr/g MC with the same amount of silica and Aloe. In the pic she looks very sad but she had just been drenched. She has been taking 4-5 days to warrant a feeding. I’ll keep a close eye on her as she is still just so very tiny for being 88 days old!!

I’m going to try and do some catching up on everyone as I know without a doubt I’ve missed a ton and I know I’ve missed all of you!

sorry for the book
Don’t be daft  :circle-of-love: shit’s a kicker.

Lovely gardening :green_heart:
Great colours. I like the look of your pre98 Bubba Kush. Big and healthy! I am super into the Bubba’s Sis atm and it reminds me of you :high-five:
Your white widow is looking pretty delish too. I’m growing my first. I’m fascinated that you, Saugs and folks keep going back to it.

 :ciao:

Sorry to hear about your the deaths in your family, Candy- So many casualties this last year, it's just surreal...
Plants are sure looking good- the WW2 is a little "iffy", but she'll fall in to line soon!

Hello C , I have been away for a bit and I was sorry to hear about your loss. I think your gardens are awesome! I'm a big fan of Afghani and White Widow and I've got a Bubba Kush in the tent now. The sugar leaves around the buds are bluish. Does your pre 98 show any color yet? Smile and stay stoneder.
