Candy Canna Multi-Strain In Candyland

Hi Candy,
I wish there was something that we could do do make you feel better :(. It doesn't sound very pleasant to say the least.

For the plants, well they all look droopy. How often are they being watered? Have you watered to runoff at all yet? We can try and narrow it down to over or underwatering, then maybe something else. I don't think it's nute related at this point.
:thanks:
They were drenched in the small containers then once they got to a drier but still slightly moist point I transplanted them and fed them 1/2 gal each (no runoff ) as I wanted them to get some to tied them but then have to spread out for more but not completely soak them either (if that makes sense). So for the 4x4 it has been 6 days and they started getting droopy yesterday.Afghani has never been very perky but perkier..( 1 feed since transplanted 6 days ago for the 4x4 and 5 for the rest ) For when they were in the small containers they were allowed to dry out but then started keeping them slightly moist because the soil became hydrophobic. (Thank goodness for my handwritten notes)!
This past week I’ve been struggling to keep the humidity up.. (averaging around 30%!!)the temps have been staying around 78 during the day and 68-69 at night).
Right now I think the droop is from needing fed and messed with for training I’m sure didn’t help along with the humidity issue possibly... I reckon I’ll find out after I feed and see if it springs life back. Thank you for helping to brainstorm! don’t know what I’d do without ya!:lot-o-toke:

Good to know Candy. If it's still a concern we can look at it a little later. Six days may explain the reason why. Thanks Candy, and have a great week!!!
:hugs:

Hiya CC, sorry to see you’re feeling in the muck, hopefully you can acclimate quickly and start feeling more like yourself again and with less pains! Sending lots of loves!!
Thank you HH! Lots of loves to you too!

UPDATE
I just realized how long it’s been since I have posted! I took some pics yesterday and was gonna post but that got interrupted so here is some proof of life today :green_heart:
They have been doing pretty good and behaving. The Pre-Bk and Afghani have been doing some hooking on some of their leaves but other than that no other oddities that I’ve noticed. All of them are still on the same diet of 3.5gr/g MC , 3.1mls/g Silica, 1/2 tsp/g Aloe powder

Onto the 2x4
The WW1 is very tight and it’s been a bit difficult to get a good spread out on her so just doing what she’ll do for now.

Onto the Craft room with the solo WW2. She seems to be growing pretty slowly (maybe starting to pick up the pace) but other than that she looks healthy and is always praying to the light

Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate the support and company  I miss all of you and will be back on more frequently here soon!

They have come back like champs.... Whatcha got them in? Is that soil? Fun Grow.

I don't think the plants could do any better..damn, you're good at this stuff, Candy!
If you don't mind me asking...what is the aloe powder for?
I've heard of people using it, but it occurred to me that I don't know why they use it....

:thanks: Carcass! I had some help from Mr man Sauga  I first found out about the aloe when I was looking for a solution to treat hydrophobic soil but then found out that it has other uses too. I’ll put up the screen shots of the benefits below. I found some organic food grade Aloe powder fairly cheap on Zon and figured why not:)

Damn- it does all kinds of good things! Thank You, Candy!
It's on my list to get some next time I visit Amazon.

Aloe is all I use wen I take cuttings !! Works so well !
Awesome :) I haven’t tried it on cuttings yet!

Sweetness! I’ve only done cuttings twice in the past and used clonex got roots anywhere from 7-12 days give or take but will definitely try aloe in the future!
Nice job Candy, and great info on the Aloe. :thanks:

Is it possible the WW is the furthest from the light? Too far away and plants tend to miss out on the growth. Food for thought.
:thanks: And the WW2 that’s growing pretty slow is the one that’s alone under the blurple and she’s fairly close..:maybe turn on a second blurple make it a lil brighter in there!
:welcome:To my journal and :passitleft: back atcha!

Update and proof of life!
Sorry for the spotty peek ins this week! Been daydreaming about the back yard..we have a huge yard but zero privacy from our 4ft tall chain link fence that has seen better days and been trying to think of a way to get a little more privacy for a zen spot back there that won’t break the bank! Like a deck and some privacy walls and where I can have at least one side that has a slanted clear roof..been watching lots of YouTube!
Anywho on to the plants
The girls are trucking along but I have noticed they are starting to get some yellowing on the tips and maybe a little fading up top, bottoms look good. The Alpine Star CBD has one leaf that has some hooking as you’ll see in the pics and the Afghani has some hooking leaves but she’s been that way since a few weeks in.The WW1 definitely noticeably lighter up top and has the most yellowing on the tips. I took the pics yesterday but didn’t get around to posting. I’m thinking possibly a slight mag deficiency maybe :hmmmm: I’m thinking in the next week or two I’m gonna flip them. They are all still on 3.5gr/g MC , 3.1mls/g Silica and 1/2tsp/g aloe powder. I think I put the descriptions of what’s what in the pics and some loaded out of order.

I hope everyone is doing well and thank you for stopping by! Y’all are very much appreciated

Well, I think they all look amazing! The Afghani could still be overfed. I would reduce her nutes if you're not seeing any deficiencies on her.
WW1 does look like a mag def as you said. Looks like she can easily take 4.5g/gal. In FFOF, I like to be at 4.5g before I flip the lights to 12/12.

The GDP and the AS both look right on track. The tips, if they are more green than yellow, is normal. That's not overfeeding. If they are yellowish white that is overfeeding. I wouldn't hesitate to bump those up anytime soon as well.

Great job Candy, and good luck finding that place of Zen! :hugs:

:thanks: as always Mr. Man !:hugs: I meant to ask you too how much do I bump the silica per 1/2gr increase on the MC? Also do you think maybe dropping the silica on the Afghani might possibly suffice as opposed to dialing back the MC ? Just to try to keep her closer to her sisters on the dose so I can try to flip them hopefully at the same time when they all eventually get to that 4.5. She may have to be held back regardless depending on how big these gals get before this finicky girl catches up on wanting more.
Thank you again for everything and I hope your weekend has been great so far!
:peace::love::Namaste: :hugs:

The silica shouldn't change once you are at 50 PPM, regardless of the change in MC. Plants can handle good amounts of it so there is no issue.

As you know I have a pencil sharp memory. What type of silica are you using again? Protekt?

It's a N thing more than anything. I would just run plain water through her for a feeding. If she is green all over then plain water won't hurt her for a feeding or two.

Yup, but the plain water may be enough to hold her back quicker :).

You betcha, and it's been good so far! I hope yours has been too!
