I think that would be up to the plants your growing, some are real finicky. I'm really not the best one to ask ......retired and don't even know what day it is most of the time. Sun will soon be making it's way back into the Northern Hemisphere. :yahoo:

Hello fellow canukers sorry to jump in new to this thread & relatively new to 420 and growing just finishing up my 2nd indoor grow with auto's and will be going out to my campsite soon for the summer and want to do a outdoor/ no green house just open air, i know a auto probably would be ok but what about a photo period? want to try a hemp plant/cbg which is a photo period with a couple auto's location would be approx central east MB, usually shut camp down Thanksgiving mid Oct and night temps usually fairly chilly 3-8c is a photo period doable or 50/50 or a waste of time ? Thanks

In the ground would be better than in a pot. They can definitely survive temps that low when they're mature, but it'll slow things down.
Is the strain you're thinking of early or fast flowering?

Doesn't matter about how early you start them it's when do they start to flower
Your area would not be till late Aug mid sept that you have 12/12 lights,. Some strains will flower a bit earlier. Helps if you plant them so they get morning sun & shade in the late afternoon

Or you can do the hassle of covering them every day to make your own 12/12 light cycle
You also have to worry about bud rot, if you take them to late into the fall

Hi JB they would be set up nicely for sun all open facing east then a bit of tall tree cover late afternoon for most of the summer while the sun is high, covering is not really a option just a camoflage tarp to keep the heavy rain off, can't put a green house due to square footage rules where i'm at

Best practice would b to make a short day but I’m confident ur plants will b fine

im hoping .. think best practice would have been leave alone and pay more for hydro..

one day is no big deal they'll be fine,
the dark triggers flowering i think:lot-o-toke:pretty sure, so at least 12hr dark is required to flower.

Shade is not night and a bright moon isn't day light.

plant all the photo plants you want mate they will time out perfect, just don't plant any sativa heavey plants and your golden. Growing plants next to tree's will help deal with frost better and give weed somebody to.

My Hemp story:
My buddy grows weed in wasaga beach every year. one year somebody applied for hemp grow. That year everyone of his plants grew balls and he was miles away from hemp farm. Hemp can be male or female doesn't matter, if you talking CBD plants that is different and should be female or your wasting time.

i highly recommend world of warships for free.. great fun sinking a battle ship..
Unless you get bombarded by your own team-mate while battling alone against 3 other war-ships. Got slaughtered and had to wait over 10 minutes for the game to finish. :rip:

hey .. i started my seed end of june outside 1st week of july..

no rush to start outside.. in canada .. its cold.. just stunts there growth.. takes time to recover.

the later you start the smaller the plants,, i find the bigger plants can get beat up really bad in a bad fall storm..
