CA215 Indoor #3

Thanks for that CA215, I will be following closely to find out more

^I full agree, we'll said pal

No problem Victor, I am hoping to learn plenty more on teas on the next grows hopefully I can shed some more light on the subject.
Thanks for signing that buddy, Hopefully we all can make a difference.
I for one, do not want gmo in my food! :joint:

CA215 Here is another one to get on tomorrow is the deadline lets stop GMO apples.

Help stop Arctic Apple

Signed HMG! Thanks for that link buddy! Going to spread that around a couple more spots I frequent.
I have been reading more into Monsanto as a company today, and they seem super sketchy. Seems like money and greed is what rules this world, in every aspect. Very sad. again thanks for the link HMG! Sign it if you can everyone. they have a box for annonymoius if you want to secure your info. :peace:

I've copyed your link on my thread to hopefuly spread the word that little bit further.

Its a very important issue, that they try and sneak in though under our noses

Thank you much for spreading the word Vic :Namaste: We should be used to things being snuck by without our knowledge in our society nowadays. Sad site to see, don't understand how someone would want to bring a life into this tormenting horrible world.. these have not always been my views so don't think a gmo fruit has changed my mind on this matter lol! Ok some shots, as depressing as the world is at times, we have a magical plant we get to see daily which is pretty amazing. To think, a small tiny seed can contain such a genetic masterpiece... AHH! I love cannabis.
Anyways not to get too off topic, here are some shots a couple shots a bit after watering this morning, I see afros! Glad to inform the sages are all growing with fresh lush green growth instead of locked out lime green. very pleasing site, will try to pull them out tomorrow if time persists and get a good post per strain, until then..;

Signed it but honestly this is a losing battle in the US. Internationally GMO's have been getting put through the ringer much the same as fluoride but the countries that are able to outlaw these harmful products are not enslaved by corporations like we are in the US.

We've been eating and drinking what they tell us to for years. They hire scientists and doctors to release studies showing us its beneficial. They create infomercials that educate us on how healthy these poisons are for us. The vast majority of our population base their purchasing decisions on salesman and infomercials not on actual facts or data. Trust me I'm in sales and I personally know how little the average consumer knows.

As sad as it is to say we have very little control over the products available in our country. Money rules all and no matter what the side effects they will continue to push for this as long as the profits are there. The only thing we can do is to push for labeling so we can try not to purchase their products but as we know with most of these sneaky companies still find a way to hide it in the label.

I compare GMO's to the pharmaceutical industry in the US. We know thousands of ppl die each year from Rx. We know almost ever Rx med has negative side affects. We know the majority of the Rx's are not working. They may help relive symptoms but they don't cure and they usually decease the quality of life. Yet we don't outlaw these meds. Opiates killed thousands last year and addicted thousands more but we never looked at illegalizing it. Instead Afghanistan has doubled their opiate production and were trying to sign a pact for an indefinite US occupation. Do we really think our country will outlaw increases in crop yields for the health risks? Lol

I'm not saying we give up the fight by any means I just don't believe the traditional approach works here because as we saw with medical marijuana it's all about public image. When we fought for rec weed we were all stoners fighting to get high but once we fought for medicinal the tide turned in our favor.

Right now Monsanto is painting us all as a bunch of crazy hippies. And let's be honest there's no shortage of hippy anti Monsanto protestors holding billboards for them to use as ammo. We've given them an opponent and in the US Goliath usually wins.

Instead of targeting individuals companies we should think bigger. If we target the entire FDA they would have a much tougher time fighting us. How about better regulations on advertisements, FDA approvals, labels, and consumer education? If we can give consumers accurate simple to understand information at the point of purchase we can beat all of these unethical companies in one sweep. Obviously these are all things that are supposed to be regulated now but as with all government programs they're on the brink of collapse from bad budgeting and corrupt politicians.

Sorry for the rant Ca. I get pretty worked up over politics as you know lol.

The girls look great. Have you pin pointed your lime green leaves with brown spotting? They look very similar to my Dinachem. I'm unsure if mines a ph lockout or nutrient def. I'm leaning ph lockout as I quit Ph'ng a few weeks ago. I know the argument about soil buffering it but I don't trust my soil and without Ph'ng I've realizeed it's really difficult to diagnose problems because the first step is usually to check ph lol.

Keep up the great work bro! :)

I completely hear ya mrbub! I was in a very bad mood the other day after reading about some of these issues going on.. some I had no idea about and was completely mindfked after reading all this bull. We have had a blind over our eyes for the longest time and it is at its peak, luckily a lot of us are starting to see this ill willed corrupt govt pos scum. Im literally waiting for a damn revolt but I feel our generation is so stupid and scared they wont know how to act when it is time ( and even if there will be that time). Our society is completely fked, with all these people thinking that they are deserving of having handouts are going to be the fkin down fall of this country. Why does everyone think they need this and that when they can't work for a single thing, yet, complaining and screaming racism or unequal rights in their job place and then being cashed out a half a mil by the employer and keeping their jobs.. We aren't getting started on congress, not even going to waste my typing on those fat pigs. I am going to PM you a link to a guy who knows wtf he is talking about brotha, more of the mmj community but he somehow relays all this info into todays society, hopefully it doesn't get you as aggravated as it did me. I had a good time sitting there toking and contemplating

Here is a leaf you described spot on!
100_6725.JPG

On the grow side of this, I am really not sure brotha. I need to pull out a deficiency chart and go back a week in pictures and see how this is all moving along. I am thinking it was a lockout, because as soon as I gave them that new soil to stretch to, they seemed to bounce right back with nice new green growth. I think I was going a little "heavy handed" in my feedings or a little too frequent. Plain ro water (un phd) from now on for awhile until we can get a good idea on what is going on with these girls, I need to figure it out soon also because we are heading into 3 weeks if i'm not mistaken and issues like this early on are going to effect my yield big time.

Thanks for droppin in mrbub! Stay well buddy :Namaste:

Nice bushed CA!! They are looking mighty fine in there :)

Made my voice heard against Monsanto, thank you for bringing it to my attention. :)

Thanks Mono, they seem to keep stretching! This update should be for you buddy, only pictures of the sages. They seem to be coming back strong with that new soil. I was definitely having a lockout issue.

Damn sexy:love:

Thanks Les :Namaste:

Dude your preaching to the choir. I'm a health insurance agent and I work on the Obamacare exchange. I have to talk and follow politics constantly. I'm the same as you I get so frustrated and angry I just have to stop reading about it.

Mainly I think what's happening is like you said our eyes are finally opening. I think this is due to the huge explosion of social and Internet media.

Unfortunately the Feds have already figured out how to ruin that. They just flood the internet with false information that suites their needs.

That's why I believe that we need to address the larger problem of government corruption which will trickle down to the smaller problems like GMO's.

Fortunately time is on our side. Polls consistently show that the younger generation is aligned with our views. The older corrupt elitists are dying out and in time our generation will be in charge. Let's just hope they don't f*ck things up too much before that happens :)

Your leaf looks identical to the early stages of my Dinachem and Blue Thai. I've been struggling with both of these plants. Pretty sure it started happening when I ran out of ph up and stopped Ph'ng but not positive. At this point they still have about 3 weeks left. Yields look like they're gonna be super small :( Should have my earth juice ph up crystals and 420 microscope tonight so I can start Ph'ng again and get a better idea of how long I have to try and fatten these two up more. The weird part is it's only affecting my late flower plants which leads me to believe a nute def maybe caused by ph lockout.

Here's a few pics if ya don't mind:

wow CA some of the best plants I've ever seen! those spots are calcium hunger.

mrbubbles, your plants also have a calcium issue, but yours may be related to calcium overdose/lockout (especially if you're in miracle gro soil)

both your guys plants want some more nitrogen for sure.

wow crawdaddy, some of the best plants I've ever seen! those spots are calcium hunger. mrbubbles, your plants also have a calcium issue, but yours may be related to calcium overdose/lockout (especially if you're in miracle gro soil) both your guys plants want some more nitrogen for sure.

Thanks for the info Breal!

I'm using pro mix potting soil now which is pretty much a soiless mix. I'm pretty confident mine is a ph lockout as my feed can drop under 5 without adding ph up. I've been told that soil shouldn't need ph adjustments because the soil should be able to buffer it to an accept able limit. I have been feeding really weak to try and keep the ph as stable as possible.

So much for throwing out the ph pen lol. I understand the minimalist philosophy but without a ph adjusted solution it really makes it difficult to diagnose problems. The old me would've just kept throwing nutes at her but after growing a couple plants with very little to no nutes I'm starting to realize how little it takes compared to the recommended FF feed schedule. That makes me pretty confident that at least my issue is ph related.

The nitro def is hard to determine because both of mine are on week 6/8. Hoping to push them 10 weeks so we can fatten them up and fix this but if I don't get improvement soon may just have to cut my losses and start flushing. Guessing about 1/4 to 1/2 per plant for yields on these two which is terrible and very concerning for our supply. I have plenty others in the flower tent too but they're all several weeks behind.

Sorry for the thread jack CA. Not sure how this pertains to yours but I'd wager ph related too because it seems like your issue started when you stopped Ph'ng too. Or at least that what my stoner memory tells me lmao

I don't see any problems with the plants, you do want them to allocate some of that stored energy into the fan leaves to the accompanying bud sites. I have found that with some soil substrates, too much nitrogen, meaning pure green leaves throughout all of flowering, have resulted in slightly more "grassy tasting" buds. In an ideal situation, we would like them to efficiently metabolize the fan leaves at a constant rate. That is why is makes perfect sense to see gradual yellowing of all leaves as the plant is signaled that fall is here, and therefore needs much less nitrogen because it does not require as much chlorophyll pigments with the decreasing hours of sunlight ( in nature atleast ), and so on and so forth. It's true, that in some cases, they can use up all the nitrogen prematurely and is easily fixed with a organic tea...however I wouldn't just jump the gun and add nitrogen without seeing how quickly they are yellowing because it is a perfectly normal phenomena considering cannabis is an annual plant.

Funny to hear you guys talk about GMO like this. Not surprised that the same people who are "against GMO", believe we are being poisoned by the government by fluoride, and that GW Bush masterminded 9/11. The fact of the matter is that, you probably eat genetically modified foods every single day of your life, you really cannot avoid genetically modified foods. If you look at the basic definition of genetic modification, this argument can be extended to speak of the evolution of single celled to multi-cellular organisms to reptiles to humans... as well as the existence of specific hybrid crosses of plants that do well in particular locations, or produce a specific type of fruit. The odds are if you ever eaten an apple, that it was a special cross designed for eating. Most heirloom apples are too bitter you couldn't really even eat them. So basic cross-breeding allowed us to yield crops we could actually eat, it's the same thing with a lot of plants... if you voted to ban GMO foods, that's like saying "I'm voting to ban all hybrid-crosses of marijauna" or it's like saying "I'm voting to stop bee's from cross-pollenating"... Sure one may not agree with what they think is an arbitrary modification, but the odds are there is much more science behind some of these projects - especially when you talk about stem cell research.... It's a slap in the face to people who dedicate their life to genetic research, and its all based off a misunderstanding and misinformation of scientific chemical reactions.

Sure, not all powerful people have the best in mind for science, perfect example is Adolf Hitler, completely exploited the science that they were doing to support his "regime", whereas Germany housed pretty much most of all the Nobel Laureates at the time... so just because one group of people is exploiting something doesn't actually mean it isn't great science. I could go on, but I won't.

Call me a sheep if you want.

Baaah! Lol

Still looking pretty damn good to me brother,:thumb:.Portascrog filled in nice.:Namaste:
Thanks Jimmy :Namaste: She is kicking into flower finally, bunching up real nice. Planning on mixing a tea here soon once my filter can pump me out 5 gals! :peace:

Until that time comes I am going to search high and low for non gmo beans for all my veggies this next outdoor season (if I can even find any).. Definitely keep checking my labels of foods I am buying for the time being. How can some of these people sleep at night knowing they are even eating this crap, let alone forcing the world to eat it. I was thinking more about it today and I would think with the number of people on the planet, gmo foods is probably the only way to actually accommodate so many mouths.. Farmers cant accept that loss of product through the growing season so they need a definite haul. Made some sense to me, include the profit aspect and booooya, more money less work who wouldn't want that right. Change would be nice though.
I am looking at a deficiency chart and think maybe I am underfeeding.. I think these girls might be hungry for some potassium looking like that would be a good start, and im not sure if they need more of or less sulphur. I have been watering with run off to try and keep the nutes moving down and out of the root zone instead of bulking up. Going to go back and see what has all been fed to them (I seem to have misplaced my holy grail grow book so I am relying on my info I have posted here on my thread, which, I don't think I have done the best job on). Will post next time what I decide to do, I am the same as you with changing it up lol. :Namaste: Stay well buddy

Thanks b, I think you are right. I have not been adding too much CalMag as I didn't want a lock out... now it seems they want more! I can not keep these girls happy  Tomorrow morning I am going to give them a nice healthy dose.

Not at all buddy, its good reading for everyone! This is the stuff I struggle with in lines with phing, nute strengths, and then the following doses weeks later. I end up racking it up to my beginner position and the fact that I grow multiple strains once, then move on to the next strains with no knowledge about them. No consistency = no good results. Simple philosophy which has proved right in my tent every grow lol.. What I am having issues with is bumping up my nute doses, I just don't want to burn my plants and with this mentality I think I am starving them.... definitely check back tomorrow morning and see what I have decided to do, I need a night to think it over hahah

You did such a great job with those ladies so far CA, your journals have brought excitement year round.
:thanks:
Thanks Les, :) Glad to know that some of ya enjoy the journal, I have a blast surfing through the grows, we are an awesome group of individuals.
Looking stellar man. I think they may need a little N too. Maybe a top dress or compost tea, something mild. Beautiful work though.

I feel you on the GMO's. It is very presumptuous of us to think we 'know' what we are doing? It is just insanity. But then again there is a lot of that in our society.
Thanks RS! Hope you have been swell buddy. Will take the N thing into consideration on the feed tomorrow ;)
Yeah, funny how they "know" what they are doing, just like they know they wont be alive when shit can hit the fan decades down the road. It's just a fked up site to see the food we eat is shit and the government knows it but still feeds the nation crap. Totally beyond me brotha! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods RS! :Namaste:

Yeah Les I have also thought of this and this has been my approach, been keeping the dosing low and not super frequent, keeping that root zone just right with enough nutes to keep em going but not enough to lock out anything. The gradual yellowing is totally okay with me but with the flowering time these girls need I think it might be a little too early for them to be yellowing like they are(were). Really at a cross roads on what to do, no nutes or nute these babies!! (Plus, I have never grown these strains, maybe I have some indica phenos that are going to finish up in a month, So following the low doses in this case would work out in my favour). Going to wait a few more days to see what we see on those leaves, but I am for sure giving them some cal mag in the morning and some molasses to feed any herd still chillin in the root zone :Namaste:
In reply to your gmo post Les, here are my thoughts buddy. I may be ill informed and need to do some more research myself and brush up my knowledge base, but as a voice in a part of society here is what I think without starting arguments :) from what I read I was under the impression that Monsanto is producing plants that are literally " un breakable" by nature ie bugs, weather. This food they are then producing may look good taste good and smell good but down the road is everything still going to be ok. With the whole "circle of life" thing in mind, wouldn't this some how cause issues somewhere else. Plus the fact that these corporations are behind it, reaping benefits of over 100m a year, at possibly the risk of nations of people, even the world. That just blows my mind man. And I know there are plenty of other problems in the world, maybe even ten times worse that need attention. Seeing the post on 420mag made me feel like spreading the word, who knows, maybe out of any of those likes I received, someone talked about it with someone else who talked with someone else.. you get where I am going with this, fire being sparked under peoples asses is where it starts. I tend to be a very pessimistic person when thinking about our future, just hope I am wrong :Namaste:

That's all I have for today, time to go medicate!
Stay safe, vigilant, the works, :peace: CA

Absolutely incredible. Do you let the soil dry out between waterings or do you keep it wet like a hydro grower?
