C5Rftw's 2nd Deep Water Culture Grow

Thanks man. they are thick as hell.. the stalks I keep as my trophies. Really because I cant help but smoke the buds lol.. but yah I cant to be to be playing around with that 2 inch thick stalk... and realizing that the plant only grew for a month to achieve that... hydro amazes constantly.

I'm all about the big plants nowadays, I use to think SOG was better or easier. Boy was I wrong! Now I think giants are the way to go if you have the light!!

plants grown too big can cause a lot of trouble. I got some 5ft tall ones under my 1000w hps but the pots are too small, 3gal. They cant support all that they grew so 3 days ago, I had to go chop chop.. hydro is a lot different though..but you still grow em too tall.. 4ft plant is plenty!!

My dream is to do a grow of "Outdoor Giants" My friend has a huge property up in michigan and we've discussed using a small area for some outdoor girls. I've never grown outdoors but just imagine the possibilities. I'm thinking 25 sativa clones, give them each a 5 foot hole full of fresh dirt mix to grow in, bags prolly, and then just forget about them for a while.....

yah soil plants are a lot of work. Outdoor soil plants can be a LOT of work.. trimming and harvesting a 13ft. plant can take days.. plan for 9-10 months. for that too..I would love to see that though.. that would be the sickest.. I have seen a 3.5 ft long bud and the thing was thick as hell.. crazy

we can dream right? Maybe next season, it's tricky up there in michigan.

I was thinking that, the weather must be cold up there. Especially with all this global warming goin on lol. I wish I had some damn global warming now, its cold! shit. If I were you guys, I would try to seed em anyhow.. Outdoors conditions can be hell on transplants and clones. Also, for some reason, they are just always stronger plants when grown from seed, sounds like you will need this.

you might be right, but that would be pretty expensive for fem seeds, and not be able to watch them closely. And if I used bagseed, I'd surely end up with more seeds, the only reason I thought clones is because I could get all fems easy and prep them here at my house, and also they wouldn't have to veg as long so I could wait for better conditions. Dunno, I have some research to do. =)

Okay well I think that would work as long as you had them conditioned to soil already, like go ahead and get some 2 litres and cut the tops off and use them as cheap pots that you can transfer easy and just throw away at your buddies and you can grow up to 1.5ft with no growth affect so they are nice and strong for the transfer. you would have no problem there.. a 6" tall plants might have trouble if conditions aren't good where a 1ft. plant would do a lot better. Another thing is that sometimes indoor plants will not do well outside when conditions are drastically different

Very good points, I guess I might be able to swing 2 bills for seeds, but I'd still have to buy a bunch of nute-rich soil and potting bags. I'm just scared I'll go back and find all those precious seeds dead or stolen or something. ( I don't live anywhere near michigan) I was thinking more guerilla grow style... this is starting to sound complicated, or maybe i'm stoned. lol.
