Burning Lights on Cold Winter Nights

I dont .. it's not needed imho. The stem gets woody by natural processes.

I have not done this at all, I did have a air circulation fan, but stem movement due to that, is minimal. My plants have tough and nearly unbendable stems. mmv.

Just my 2 cents: I use a small desk fan that only blows one direction (not oscillating) and rotate my girls so that a different part of the plant gets some air every day. My stems are very thick, though this could be due to the LST and have nothing to do with the fan. The fan is mostly to keep the canopy cool, it keeps my temps under 85F lights on.

The fan serves many purposes according to what I've read and seen.... it helps to develop a more stout stem and tougher roots. It also helps with mold, and to moderate temperature as you said.
My theory is to try to emulate nature as much as possible.... I've checked it out.. there is wind. That's why I use a fan. There is sunrise and sunset and cooler temperatures at night. That's why I have dark time for my plants. I try to vary just about everything except my ph... I like that to be as close to 6.5 as possible every time I feed/water. Just my opinion and there are tons of different ones out there. I will continue doing what I do as long as it continues to work for me! :)

Day 13(WW) and day 15(Kabala)

- good growth on the WW, she is a very pretty plant. I have enjoyed seeing her grow.
- at what point should I look into topping the WW?

-I feel bad at this point for the auto Kabala, she is like an ugly stepchild. But I still lover her(cough cough)
- was thinking about letting her grow with no steam/branch manipulation, very light ferts, and walking her and myself into my first harvest.

*laugh if you like, do auto flowers clone easily?*

Dchannn,
I'm sure someone will correct if I'm mistaken but it's my understanding that you can clone an auto flowering plant the same as any other but when you do it loses all of it's autoflowering properties..... whether this turns it into photoperiod like the feminized seeds, I do not know?
I do not plan to do any topping or anything... maybe some LST on my auto AK's? A Brief Guide to LST
It's so cool to sit here and actually watch someone gaining more and more knowledge!! :) and learning yourself as you go.

With mine, I waited until the ladies had developed their 3rd nodes, then FIM'd the 4th node as it was coming up. So, my advice is to let them get a little bigger..one or two more nodes, then top/FIM them. Same goes for the tops that develop. Let them split and grow a few nodes, then top the newly created tops for a total of 4 tops. Or, you could just top/fim once, then start bending her over into LST and end up with a crazy amount of bud points. (I might be a bit biased regarding LST. )

As far as cloning an auto goes, I'm of no help. Have not grown an auto (yet) and have not attempted cloning. Though I will probably grow a mom from my feminized Lemon Kush and/or White Widow x Big Bud once I start that grow. Keep up the good work! :cheertwo:

-white widow - she is growing at a nice pace, for my gauge color looks good. I am just waiting for the growth to begin ;)

-what a warped creature :/ does anyone know why this happened?
- I have found the plant to be slightly firm in the leaf groups... Starting to think after this long I have created a separate issues from the other issues (bad soil+ph water) hmmm any ideas more than appreciated

Just ordered a ph kit( test and up and down) as well as the flora gro tripack of nutrients. Very excited to finally have everything balanced in my water and of course now :nutrient->water-> adjust ph-> feed.

- have some hemp string to LST the WW, and I plan to top/fim the WW as well. I think if I can get my auto flower Kabala corrected in time, maybe some LST as well? I feel like she is a little brittle. Maybe the ph adjustment and nutes will help her out.

*Found a seed in some royal kush I am currently smoking. That makes 4 beans for another time*

- I can almost hear my wife yelling once he sees what I bought. ;)

She looks fine to me. Bit much N in her system, hence the dark green. Other then that, she looks good.

A mistake many people make, myself included, is over-thinking and wanting to see improvement yesterday. You corrected the issues you had, new growth looks healthy .. leave her be a little. The pH issue has all kinds of side effects that make you think that you have nute deficiencies, while in fact, you had nute uptake issues, due to pH being off.

I hope you do your feeding a little different: water, nutrients, adjust ph, feed .. else you risk your fertz reacting with eachother .. or so I've read. Always start with a clean tank of water, and if you have high chlorine levels, aerate it first with an airstone, or let it sit for an hour. Then mix in nutes, then adjust pH, then feed ;)
