Burning Lights on Cold Winter Nights

Hey everyone, hope you are well. Storms outside and my girls are cozy sitting in tropical weather in the box.

Last Watering today with un-balanced water, and will have nutrients and the ph valence pack for the watering as well. Got the flora gro tri pack to go along with it.

Here are my two ladies.

Dchannn,
If you can swing it, might want to invest in a small heater. While in veg cycle I don't think too much bad will happen for a power outage if it's not like days and days.... too cold on the other hand can take them out in no time! My brother has a generator that I planned to borrow it my power ever goes out for more than a few hours. Two priorities.... my plants and cable tv! :)
:Namaste:
Quick question guys, what are any suggestions if power goes out during my lights on cycle?

- I have been running a 24/0 cycle.
- the temps will be very low because no heat.

Dchannn, Going from 24/0 to either of those other schedules shouldn't harm your girls a bit. I've never used 20/4 myself but have had very good luck vegging under 18/6. I'm glad you got them to warmer place! You're doing a great job so far brother! :)
...I might have to switch to a 18/6 or 20/4 cycle. Will changing the lights on/off cycle matter?

Got the ph test kit and up and down adjusters today in the mail. Time to finally treat my ladies right. Nutes should be here tomorrow. Got to give credit to USPS. Didn't think they were going to deliver today. Rain shine sleet or snow......we will all still grow ;)

- WW- I fim cut her yesterday. Will keep it simple with her until she is a little more sturdy and try some minor LST. It might be just be me, but I swear she is starting to give her scent off.

- Kabala- with looks only her grower could love, she seems to be growing well, a few issues but nothing to worry about. I had to repot her due to roots bursting out of the bottom of the planter.

-Been thinking of investing in a grow tent, and keeping my totes as the veg chamber.
-Nutes will be here tomorrow, and should be able to water with them as well.
-Tonight I will put my humidifier and fans on a separate timing system to regulate my grow climate better.

All the best.

Lookin petty good there. Easy with the nutes please. So easy to overdo it. Peace, niv

She had a rough start for sure, but nothing looks too wrong to me .. it would be nice if she stretched a little, to let more light fall on the nodes below them .. can you tuck them away to achieve this ?

Planet and Beateo,

Hope all is well for you guys.

- I can agree about her opening up to allow some light to hit on the inner nodes. She is a very tight plant and I sometimes wonder if she is just a strange girl with some defective traits?? Being an auto-flower the Kabala has the set lifespan so I am curious besides stretching her with the light......what else can I do to bulk her up?

* have nutes and ph adjuster now*
- want to introduce them today- with a 1/3 recommended dose.
Flora grow+ flora bloom+ flora micro are the three I have.

After checking the ladies, water is definitely going to be held off another day. Don't want to fall back into the over watering trap. And want to try a flush with both the white widow and Kabala before I start them in a nutrients diet.

- Kabala is showing some real nice growth today.

-White widow is looking nice, wish I would have set her higher in the planter, but will try some LST with drilled holes in the side of my planter to avoid over stressing with steep rope lines.

- grow box is still working well for me. Still need a more efficient way to run my humidifier and fans. Cheap timer and new surge protector should do the trick. Will be running through some ideas to "light proof" the box in preparation of the WW entering flowering.

Dchannn,
Looks good to me! :) I learned a lesson my 1st grow... I had about 4 inches or more of planter sticking up above the base of my plants. This time I made certain to fill the pots to the very top before transplanting. After a few waterings the mix settled down a bit and I added more soil so my plants would be as close to the top as possible. I transplanted much deeper this time around and things are working much better. I found I only needed enough planter rim above the plant to contain the waterings. :) Are your girls in their final pots or do they get transplanted again?
:Namaste:

yep,, looking just fine. one a bit wrinkly, but , hey, keeps one on their toes. i agree with beateo about the soil. i will say this,, when the plants get bigger, finished size,, that extra dirt in those pots, if they were filled to near the top, that extra dirt holds a lot of water that the big plant will surely need. one reason why filling near the top is good. if me, i would water a ton, then tip upside down till the root ball falls out, with the plant, and maybe add a bit more soil to the bottom,, the top looks too close to the dirt to add soil to the top. the plants take adjusting and tipping and adding all very well,, you won't even notice a bump in the progress i am sure. looks like you could add over an inch of soil. will help later on.. cheers dch,, keep it up, looking great

Have the Kabala a haircut tonight, anticipating she will start her "auto flowering" soon. She is 24 days old.

WW was raised tonight, I added soil as you suggested Niv, to the bottom and gave her a very nice watering. I will check her health often the next few hours, Hahaha

Pics to come later.

All the best
