Burning Lights on Cold Winter Nights

I'm at a loss with that Kabala .. she's not the healthiest of plants ... hinting a deficiency in the new growth.

What's the pH in there atm ? (or of the feeding water & the run-off)

Also, consider this: How to get started growing indoors organically - No bottles

Surest way to get a healthy issue free soil with plenty of nutes and no risk of over-fertilizing. Kabala would be in a lot better shape in CC-mix ;) Cheapest way too of you start 2 compost bins and a worm bin. This can be done in-door without nasty smells.

Heya dch,, good job raising the plant and lowering the soil,, will help later for sure. I have seen wrinkly plants, outdoor garden, like that that just never recover, period. spend their whole lives being wrinkly and growing half speed.. like its genetic or similar. I sure am hoping that is not the case with your little one. best of luck with that one. other looks fab. great work. keep it simple dch, cheers

I have done a little research and personaly concluded that during the ph crisis and miracle grow days it just halted and deformed the full growth of the plant. I think the only sure way for me to continue is a full flush and very light nutes. I tested the runoff today and had 5.0 ph(I did add light nutes and it was ph'd to 6.3-6.5).

WW. Love her. Will be doing a LST tonight. I have had to raise the lights because of her growth, so happy I raised the soil to help with the LST accessibility and for root growth/water. Want to flush her before I add my 1/2 strength nutes. So I will wait another two days before I flush and feed. She needs a haircut and will try to LST first and then open up some inner node sites with fan leaf removals.

Put two auto flower Kabbalah seeds into germination. Can't wait to start over and see how my skills have developed.

All the best.

* Pics later tonight*

From what I have heard, and someone please correct me if I am wrong, you cannot flush miracle grow because it has slow release particles in the soil that are activated by water. So even if you did a big flush now, it would just kick in the fertilization feature of miracle grow and really wouldn't help it.

I think it would be best, if this soil really is the culprit, to pull her from the pot and brush off as much of that soil as you can without doing too much damage to the roots, then re-pot it with some neutral soil. I am pretty sure I saw another kat here on the forums do this. I just can't remember who.

Edit: you know what? that kat might have been you. And I see you are already in better soil. i follow way too many journals and i shouldnt be posting while i am still half asleep lol.

I hope she shapes up and produces some beautiful buds for you man.

Dchannn,
I wouldn't be too quick to blame the Miracle Gro. I used it for most of my last grow and didn't have any of that stuff happening... more likely the ph? I think you're doing a hell of a job for your first grow! :) When I did my flush the water actually ran out of the containers colored blue! I mean REALLY blue. Several GALLONS later into each container and I was running nice clear water. If you're not already doing it, you might try a teaspoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide in each gallon of water you use. This may not cure your problem but when I read up on it I was surprised at all the benefits of using it.
:high-five:

it depends if ur using the mg soil that could b very possible,if its just mg nutes as long as there not time released.ushould b ok flushing.any of u ever tried sledgehammer from ff nutes for flushing, this sstuff makes my life easier, just add 2 tsp/or tablespoon whatever directed just water,it somehow takes away salt build up without painof flushing gallons, just a thought.i love it:thanks:

beateo,, about the water running blue,,,, wow,, i have never heard of such a thing,, remember, i am raw rookie. will that accumulate like that every time with mir gro you think?? i am using mir gro myself, for veg and flower. i am not looking forward to seeing my water run blue, indeed. hmmmm

Thanks for all the input guys . Superskunk wow, nice to meet you buddy, your grow looks pretty solid.
Niv and Beateo hope all is well guys. I did transplant my plants from Miricle grow into fox farm . I think that I had a large amount of soil left in the root nets/growth that has caused it to become stiff and like we all remember, the bottle water PH.

these Kabbalah I just started will be in fox farm from day 1, with set water at 6.5ish. super skunk interesting about your 24/0 light cycle theory.

nivek, I can't say what someone else's grow might do because I'm sure we have many differences, but.... I was really pleased with my harvest. To be honest about it... I never really gave the flush running "Miracle Gro Blue" a second thought. :) It was also my first grow and as far as I knew that was completely normal? I'm using Jack's Classic Booster and it is the same color as the Miracle Gro :) I'll let you know if the same thing happens just using the Jacks. I have to find something else for flowering because as KingJohn informed me... the nitrogen in the Jacks is WAY too high for flowering.

Beateo, I would have freaked out seeing that. With the Kabbalah I am going to feed her water only and see how it goes.

*lesson learned* checkout your soil and water before you start growing. ;)

White widow is already smelling up my basement.

* tonight I will change my light cycle to 18/6 and walk the grow down to 12/12 when WW tells me she is ready. Nervous to cut her but know I will have to to maximize yield.

Each are about a month old now. Wow
