Bud's Does A SIP Featuring The ViparSpectra KS5000

Something else must also be amiss though. The reservoir to hole height ratio should be fairly linear. So if you're only able to fill half of what others can, but your hole is still roughly 6/7ths of recommended you must have something else at issue.

Said another way, half the reservoir volume should be a hole at 1.75" (roughly), but yours is mostly the right height.

Maybe Buds is right about roots affecting the proper functioning of the float indicator.
I agree. The float indicators move freely though so I don’t think that’s the issue. The top of the soil is moist and the girls are certainly growing. I imagine if I don’t get this resolved I’ll just be watering several times daily when they really start churning...

Well, it seems the numb skull that drilled the drain holes can’t read a tape measure. They’re 3/8” too low. I’m gonna give him a piece of my mind…
Otherwise everything seems to be functioning like it should.

Flex tape over that hole and drill another one

Sorry for the double post - long boring story

Maybe the knucklehead that messed up measuring the hole position the first time, messed up again when he re-measured!

3.5" is what the instructions say. Not sure why yours wont take a gal. Doesn't really make much sense. Have you asked anyone else how much it takes to fill their res. ? I wonder if this has happened to anyone else & if they figured out why.
The p doesn't work on my laptop so when I use it instead of my phone I end up with lots of typos. Hope you didn't think I was call you a hoe...

You'd think with 30 years in construction I could do something so simple, but I made the wrong mark & then missed it...

Measure twice, smoke once, measure two more times again?
Then wait till tomorrow.:cough:
Wait, is this emoji yawning or coughing? I meant to convey yawning & apologize for any confusion...

LOL, didn't really think anything. But that reminds me of 2 X-mas' ago. My son & I went to Walmart & Santa was in the doorway ringing his bell. These 3 girls in front of us walked past Santa & he pointed at each one (behind their backs of course) & said Hoe, Hoe, Hoe. My son & I couldn't quit laughing.

Well now I know the difference between a regular Gorilla Grow Tent & the Lite Line. I bought the 4x4 Lite Line yesterday & it sure feels much thinner then the reg. GGT & barely weighs anything at all. I'll probably set it up in a week or so to see how it is once assembled. Figured I needed a 4x4 for this new Viparspectra KS5000. The 4x8 tent is overkill for it & I have my other lights for the 4x8 anyway.

Well guys, all that talk about guitars got me a little interested in playing again. So....., I went & bought an Epiphone Les Paul Studio last night. Got a pretty good deal on it. It's in great condition & only paid $150 for it. Just hope I have the time to play it now.

Does a Mg. def. start at the top of the plant ? This morning I'm seeing quite a few leaves with a bunch of Reddish dots all over them. Do you think it's possible that the "P" I added has caused an Mg. lockout ? Or maybe I just need to up the Cal-Mag ? This darn Auto has been a PITA ! No more Auto's for me. In fact I'll probably give this plant to my buddy this weekend as I'm tired of dealing with it & just want to get back to my photo plants. I'll still get 1/2 the yield when it's done so no big deal.
I'm hoping to get one of my girls in the 12 gal. SIP this weekend.

That's above my pay grade but I hope someone can help.

According to Ed Rosenthal, "Mg deficiency starts in the older leaves. The veins remain green while the rest of the leaves turn yellow, exhibiting chlorosis. As the deficiency continues it moves from the middle to upper leaves."
