Bud Washing

Glad the vape pens came up, I'm looking, thanks.

I use an Arizer Extreme Q at home and a VaporGenie when travelling. Both perform well for me. IMHO, at no more than 1/3 the cost of the Volcano, you really cannot go wrong with the Extreme Q, plus it can be used with a whip, something the Volcano cannot yet do.

I've heard nothing but good about the Arizer Extreme Q.
Which style VaporGenie? I understand the Volta because it is a magicflight style.
The pipe style VaporGenie seems odd but intriguing. Good for a pocket. :)

I have the aluminum pipe, not bat style, with wooden bowl. It takes a while to get used to heating ceramic element correctly and you definitely need a torch, a BIC-style lighter just doesn't cut it, but it is the closest thing to smoking that I've seen yet from any portable vaporizers.

I have 3 different vapes that I use but when you have bronchitis it's not worth trying to use one, I've already blown out half my rib muscles from coughing and to me it's just not worth smoking of any kind, period!

The pain is very intense, to the point that I can't even lie down.

Hmm ... another comparison just occurred to me ...

Why do we take the time to trim off perfectly good trich-covered leaves? You get less that way, don't you?

Maybe trimming has been a bad idea all along - think of all the trichs you lose ... :hmmmm:

Why do you lose them? I extract mine into oil :)

Same here Hiker

So I personally hate vaporizing I've had phantoms (2) still have them I never use them. Broke one pax portable vape stoned trying to smoke oil through it. Still have one a never use.

Just not a real big vape guy. I like to taste the terpene profile and other complexities I feel get lost in vaping but to each there own.

Edible or tack

When I think of Doc Bud and bud washing this week, I am reminded of Arlo Guthrie and the Alice's Restaurant Massacre

Slightly misquoted :

You know, if one person, just one person, does it, they may think he's-
Really sick and they won't believe him.

And if two people do it, in harmony, they may think they're both faggots and-
They won't believe either of them.

And if three people do it! Can you imagine three people walkin' in,
Saying "Bud Washing" and walkin' out? They may think it's an-
Organization!

And can you imagine fifty people a day? I said FIFTY people a day . . .-
Walkin' in, saying "Bud Washing" and walkin' out? Friends,-
They may think it's a MOVEMENT, and that's what it is: DOC BUD'S
BUD WASHING ANTI-DANDRUFF AND ANTI-DEAD BUG MOVEMENT! . . . and all you gotta do to join is to-
Do it and Say it the next time it comes around to harvest time.

....

I don't know, I think washing them turned the leaves purple ;)

It was raining purple last night!!

I made a video of it which I'm editing now. :cheertwo:

A good read about the difference between 1980s bud vs today's buds. Much of what is said is in regards to how dirty buds really may be, and how super charged strains intake much more heavy metals etc.

Modern Marijuana Is Often Laced With Heavy Metals and Fungus

Wash your buds!

This is a pretty weak article by Smithsonian standards.

Three times the concentration - based on what? memory of how high they were?
THC bad / CBD good. - garbage
Concentrates also concentrate pesticides and Heavy metals - Yes, but only if they are there. Are they there? Are there more of them than the 70s weed contaminated with paraquat and grown with composted sewage?
(Reminder: Bud Washing won't clean heavy metals and pesticides ingested by the plants.)

If I were an organization wanting to establish a monopoly on cannabis, I would PAY for an article like this. Maybe they did.

It takes more than an interesting premise to make a good article.

I totally f'ing agree I heard that crap on the radio on my way to Portland.

Here's a simple answer. This would just be more way for them to regulate and control period. That kind of shit pisses me off.

Just spit balling, but isn't todays weed more refined in the ways we grow vs pre-1980 that would add some validity to the heavy metal claim. What I took most from the read is how much there is still such lack in oversight and how more scrutiny regarding medicine quality is being pursued. This is related (IMO) to the title of this thread, that's why I shared it here. Wasn't trying to rile anyone up.

You didn't there propaganda did lol.

It's truly breeding and passionate gardeners that have up'd the numbers. As for cbd being gone that's utter non sense. I seek cbd Strains.
