Brightlight's Strain Fest: Organics & LED

re: Brightlight's Strain Fest - Organics & LED

Welcome SN. Not a lot of verifiable pure Chem seeds around that I've been able to find & have some confidence in. Most cut w/ something else to give the old plant some vigor. I've been growing the Cali Chem 91. I felt the Skunk VA connection supported authenticity. Very, very happy w/ strain. DinaChem gets good repts. but crossed w/ Guava Chem. drcannabi is growing it now. Cali also has pure Chem 4 available & on my list. Loompa Farms & TH versions also linked to orig. via different family tree.

How's the Grape OG going? Would love to hear what you think. Have a promo that I've been saving & itching to grow as I'm an old Romulan junkie/grower.
:Namaste:

I was trying to try his SFV OG.....but literally 0-6 of them popped. Ill be sure to add his chem to the next order.

Eh, could be better if it wasn't stretched to shit when it was young (it wasn't me lol). I just flipped them, so we'll see. I got plenty of clones just in case. But, I have to re-grow it properly.....my step dad fucked me up w/ letting it stretch as bad as it did when it was young.

From what I've read, not many people like the guy lol.

re: Brightlight's Strain Fest - Organics & LED

I grew a Y Griega (Kali Mist x Amnesia) and it was special :cheesygrinsmiley: - I think it must have the original Kali in it. :yahoo: And I ran across another strain with the original Kali Mist, but I can't remember it now. :hmmmm:

What do we think of Sin City Seeds? They have some fruity Sour Diesels that look interesting - the Power and Sour Dubble lines? :cheesygrinsmiley:

re: Brightlight's Strain Fest - Organics & LED

Thanks guys, now I know it was just the Kali Mist I wasn't fond of. I'm spoiled from the newer strains that have 3 out of 4 keepers. I got the females in a pack of regs. They weren't in the original breeders pack. Guess attitude could have mixed them up. I'll definitely try some other Thai, any suggestions?

The dinachem is just starting to grow. Super healthy though. I've had her under a big 370 true watt LED along with the cc sour diesel and they are both short stout girls in dyer need of a transplant. Wow I just zoned out. It's this new LCOG. It's so good!

re: Brightlight's Strain Fest - Organics & LED

Hey Dusty,

I grew out the MSH and it was my favorite sativa strain so far. Really it and kali mist are all I've grown. MSH has a definite indica bend to her and she will knock you down if you over do her. I love a good Hybrid and this is closer to a hybrid than a true sativa. This is most likely why it didn't do too much for brother brightlight lol!

Kali mist is just crappy. It'll get you high but nothing to write home about. After all the hype on that strain it was the biggest let down I've grown. 2 of the 3 grew bananas and seeded the whole tent. I think there was a change in the original parents and the new stock is poop IMHO.

Don't think MSH is a slouch cause she's not, it's just not a true sativa IMHO. Like brightlight said, she's got amnesia in her and it's very heavy leaning toward that side of things. It was my only 8 oz plant I've ever grown. Huge buds.

Mornin DrC...ya with the Kali Mist...ease up a bit there....I grew the KM about 10-12 yrs ago and lemmy tell ya...i still have people asking me if i'l do it again, just for them. It's a fantastic , almost pure (90%) Sativa. Here's the thing with it....a was told by...Conradino , i think...a while back that a few yrs. ago Simon (Serious seeds) got raided and they took all his mothers and he lost his foundation examples of Kali Mist. That's what i heard , so it's too bad ya didn't get to grow it a while ago. let me say that i can remember getting a speed rush buzz from ONE good toke...ya , that's it, one good draw is all it took....very strong and clean high from it,,i just loved it, but wo'n't try it now cuz of what happened, so please go easy on it eh...it was once a killer strain.Cheers, and have an awesome day my brotha!

re: Brightlight's Strain Fest - Organics & LED

Thanks duggan! I believe you that it used to be killer. I'm pretty disappointed that they would keep the name and rep and sell these seeds for such a high price. This forum is too share experience. My experience is different from yours. When I grow poop I call it like it is.

Wish I'd have grown the original as most people say they loved it. Maybe they should rename it to version 2 or something like that. Then future purchasers would know not to expect something it's not.

:Namaste:

Eh yeah doc in an ideal world that would look like you say, but breeders like to keep their cashflow going as almost every guy out there, so they don't drop their brand even if the product behind it is mediocre. But there are more and more ways invented to keep the market well-informed. I love the Phylos Galaxy for example, and I believe with these things you'll be able to see how the strings are exactly being pulled very soon.

LEGALIZE IT!!!

Such a shame! Here I am growing at my own expense and giving away 80% of my crops to medical patients and the seed companies aren't satisfied with what they earn honestly. Heart breaking really.

Ok that's done lol! Too many good strains out there. In all fairness, the white russian I'm growing is looking superb. I assume Simon was able to get the original source back or its just a different version that happens to be good. :thumb:

That would be such a privilege. I wish I could grow on a big scale & not have to worry about anything, whilst keeping people off those goddamn opiates. They took 4 years of my life away from me & thanks to Cannabis, I'm still here to be able to type this message.

re: Brightlight's Strain Fest - Organics & LED

Hi there SN. My grow is pretty modest. Usually 4-6 plants in a tent. The important thing is to make the most out of what you've got. :thumb:

The opiate problem is incredible. I'm just getting off them myself after spinal surgery. It's the mental part and not sleeping that really is hard. I've had to kick three times now and this has been the easiest.

The pharmaceutical companies create customers, not cures. It is mental. I still have urges/cravings to this very day. The thought of suboxone & methadone "clinics" to treat addiction.....surely they can't think this shit works still.

Sin City has some nice strains. Gifted some White Nightmare once. The Blue Power is their flagship. I would've tried some already except hardly ever in stock.:passitleft:

Controversial dude but I sure like his strains. Grow nicely & produce fire. So I like him. :cheertwo:

Man I'm excited about your Dinachem! Remember that Emerald Triangle Cherry OG from last year? Lost Coast x Cherry Thai. So 2 kinds of Thai in it. Uncle Cannabis & I both grew it around the same time & both liked it a lot.:lot-o-toke:

What other CC strains have you ran bro? Sorry, I don't mean to Jack your thread!!

Make yourself at home over here SN...hahaha, quite a few CC's. Since you asked.....Chem 91, Sour Diesel, Sour OG, 818 Headband, LA Affie, Tahoe, Buddha Tahoe, Louis XIII, SFV, Jamaican OG, Corleone Kush, Purple Diesel, Girl Scout Cookies, Green Crack.:yummy:

Such a shame! Here I am growing at my own expense and giving away 80% of my crops to medical patients and the seed companies aren't satisfied with what they earn honestly. Heart breaking really.

Simon & Mktg. guy Thomas are cool. I say this based on emails we've exchanged. Bet they'd replace them for you. If they saw the quality of your plants & buds, I think for sure they'd do something. Just a thought brother.:Namaste:

re: Brightlight's Strain Fest - Organics & LED

Thanks Brightlight!

You've got a point there. Love your style brother Light! I honestly wish I never would have said anything but I have to speak up when there's a problem. Probably why I'm studying for a new career lol!

I've not grown Sin City but I have some blue power. I definitely need to give these guys a shot. I have a few of their strains including SourFlame OG.

From Sin City

With it's sour tastes and it's added weight, this one is for sure going to please! SourFlame OG is for those who enjoy funky OG Kush with a little extra sour flame!

Lineage: Whitefire #3 x Sour Jack

Flowering Time: 70-75 Days

Ratio: 70% Sativa 30% Indica

Yield: 400-600 Grams per square meter

Flavor And Smell: Sour OG flavors that have a very strong smell in flower, odor control is recommended.

Might need to plant these soon!

re: Brightlight's Strain Fest - Organics & LED

I ran across another strain with the original Kali Mist, but I can't remember it now. :hmmmm:

It's Pineapple Fields from Dynasty - has the pre-2000 Kali Mist. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Thanks for the feedback on Sin City - looked like they'd done some interesting work. :thumb:

re: Brightlight's Strain Fest - Organics & LED

That's really doing well over in ShiggityFlip's yard. It looks super tasty. Thank you Graytail. That stuff looks amazing. Did you see that huckleberry kush? Trich blankets. :thumb:

re: Brightlight's Strain Fest - Organics & LED

I've been trying to find their Nightmare OG & LVBK in stock for a while now. No luck. Even all of the OG Raskal beans I want are out of stock. I've been watching Vaders channel in hopes to catch a seed drop. Ohh what I would do for some of his beans lol

SF OG sounds good dr. Since Sin City are always out of stock where I buy, I'm going to order from drcannabi's seed bank the next time. You seem to have every strain that comes up in discussion. :goof:

Pineapple Fields sounds good GT. KM's allure surely comes from its Cambodian component. Maybe the "replacement" genetics less than orig.

I only have one pure Cambodian experience. Back in Vietnam War days, a pot buddy had quartermaster job & was sending back as many varieties of SE Asian that he could dig up in a wartime situation. The lone batch of Cambodian was like manicured, cut tobacco. Uniform ready to use herb. No stems, only an occasional seed (damn it). We had never seen stuff like it! Very good herb, but didn't rate as a personal stand out. :Namaste:

re: Brightlight's Strain Fest - Organics & LED

Hmm bright I think you're gonna enjoy it. I wanna find out what this strain Flo-Rida really is. It seems it would be the Crippy from Florida, a strain which they still grow in Colombia actually, and which came there through 70s Colombian blow/bud channels, and was cultivated in the triangle of Florida's main marijuana-producing cities (Jacksonville, Tampa, and Miami, and was also known as Triangle Kush, although I never heard of that strain I'm afraid :hmmm: But yeah DNA sequencing shows it... WiFi by the way is pretty there in the mix :laughtwo::lot-o-toke:

re: Brightlight's Strain Fest - Organics & LED

Dude who goes by Krome popularized The White, which everything I've heard is Triangle pheno. Now both White & Triangle are becoming very popular & widespread. My only Krome White experience is OGR's White Master, which was killer grown both outdoors & indoors. Very potent. Love it.

How about Flo Rida the group? :theband: Current hit "My House". I like "Here It Is", great song. Off track I know, sorry, just made me think of it.:laughtwo:
