one of these days i am going back through this journal and writing down all of BL's recommendations, strain/breeder.... Save me a lot of trouble and money, getting the best bunch of seeds from the get go... Thanks BL... Should call this the strain library haha

Haha thanks Pj. But anything I say that sounds like a recommendation is only good for others if he/she likes the same genetics or has an interest in that strain or line. Mostly haze & Thai strains on the sativa spectrum along with a steady diet of Chemdogs, Sour Diesels, OG's, Kushes & more recently Cookies. I can't keep up even within my limited interests. 
It’s so hard to do trust me! Lol

I have some Amnesia Haze seeds I may run this fall and some Mama Thai beans on the way. I pray they get here as I didn't buy tracking for some reason...guess I was just stoned.Mostly haze & Thai strains on the sativa spectrum along with a steady diet of Chemdogs, Sour Diesels, OG's, Kushes & more recently Cookies. I can't keep up even within my limited interests.
Our strain interests are somewhat similar but I've never tried any cookies. What's to like about them?

Imo.....potency is primary feature. Good/true cookies are potent. Also frequent color & usually terps & taste. Crap yielder. Practically every single new strain of any relevance contains some cookies nowadays. Sativa x cookies are personally very enjoyable.

So far I grown out Dolato and Buffalato. They both have cookies in there.
Very different genetics for sure. Growth, yield color everything very different.
Every one, well almost every one was black at the end of the grow. So very very interesting plants.
Loved growing them too... they all acted the same so no surprises. They all do "the flop" at like 55 days. Gotta tie em up. Interesting my last Buffalato I let go to 72 days. When I untied all the colas they had 2x sized since flopping and they were all standing tall after I took the wires off. Pretty cool really. Not ever going to see this in the real world out there likely.. way too much work for production growers.
Dolato was what BL called "heavy" - he was spot on. I puff on that and my brain goes into hibernation and I feel like I'm wearing a helmet. Good for sleepy time. I'll have to try it again after a good cure. Things tend to change with time.
Buffalato - getting to be one of my all time favs. It's got everything. Black flowers after chop and trim, purple, blue, green and silver ... coated with silver greasy A/F too. High is uplifting for a few hours then gently down to earth with munchies and bed time.
I just broke up some Buffalato nugs a few minutes ago after a month cure - smells like bubble gum/candy. Gonna taste it here in a sec:
Oh yeah cookies gonna be nuggetry to the extreme. Cola, no cola. I've been able to coax 4 zips off pretty much every plant I grew so far. This 72 day girl was pretty heavy at chop and greasy with sticky silver grease.
Taste after cure.. bubble gum flavor with a touch of fuel and VERY smooth. No cough unless over-dew.
These are expensive seeds. Finally tho, I got what I paid for. No keepers sadly. I'm going to start to go thru some seeds I've already coined up for. Do like BL and do some weed n soul search for that holy grail ... or maybe part of a holy grail and get working.
I need a greenhouse and a bobcat.
Cookies and cookie crosses are not bad. Cookie Fam FTW.

should almost put that in your signature as your 'disclaimer' lol
but as someone who has been around alot of green, but never really grown my own, i have no clue what i like other than "this bag weed i had was awesome", other than the few growers i knew, i never knew what i was getting...
So your recommendations make all the difference in my world... Start with the best and grow from there haha i think the last one you mentioned was chem 91 and how cali connections was better than the other breeders you have tried... That saves me disappointment and frustrations, especially with limited space and budget.
Once growing you're own, that will be a thing of the past bro, just sayin.
If you start with Chem 91... you may never get off of it. First Chemdawg I ever ran, only popped 1 seed, was a reg and got a female I've been running it ever since from clone.
I think strains come and go like the wind. The really good ones, stand the test of time and the price at the dispensary parses that out long haul.
The really good weed, it's not at the dispensary. It's in our stash jars, I'm thinking.

Swamp Boys 3D - Nigerian x WiFi 3
The African sativas that I've tried were all kind of racy & edgy , even a bit uncomfortable so I never had much interest to grow any. But after reading that Nigerian herb is mellower than other African sativas plus an interest in Swamp Boy gear, I bought a couple of their Nigerian crosses. 3D is crossed with WiFi 3, which is one of OG Raskal's early WiFi's (The White x Fire OG).
Well thank goodness the WiFi was present to tame down that Nigerian! Mellower...hah! WiFi is ~50-60% sativa & pretty energetic by itself. I don't think I'd want any part of this Nigerian by itself....lol. Even with the WiFi the immediate rush is akin to what I described above. After 15-20 minutes it settles down to a much more likable effect....but still slightly amped up energy. No way will this one bring on sleepiness.
Metallic OG funk smell, metellic slightly mint taste. Faint color in bud tops at end. Pretty good sized plant at 30" Fine plant structure & branching. Flowers look more sativa than indica. Defining characteristic is glue like stickiness....insane stickiness that carried over to trimmed buds. More like sap than trichomes. Fast...only 57 days.
Slowly gearing up to start a new batch. Enjoying a break & re-discovering how relaxing retirement can be without plants.

The Black DOG smoke is like this in a way. Hits you hard but has a nicer feeling after a bit.
What about the bud structure strikes you as more sativa-ish? More leaf to calyx? Fluffier?

Colas longer, flowers slimmer. More flowers up & down the branches. Sativa leaning hybrid flower appearance. More evident in dried flowers than in pics.

Looking fantastic. I love that scary shit. Growing up in Texas we would every once in a while get some that would lite up the night with with this erie wonderful psychedelic paranoia.

I went a few weeks with Golden Tiger x Oldtimers Haze as my primary smoke, and it was like living in a foreign dimension - odd stuff everywhere, y'know? Jumpy stuff. But Paranoia and I are familiar acquaintances. It's kind of like a runner's high for me. 
Africans be fun. I've had Malawi and some crosses and a couple Zamaldelicas and Golden Tigers, and Zam is probably the friendliest so far. Malawi is its own high - always reminds me of the teeth-gritting stage of a speed rush - that moment just before the roller coaster drops.I recommended the GT Haze for a friend that was going to see a horror movie.

That sounds like a really good high... not sure why adding a sativa with my adhd works.. but it really gets me 'in the zone'. Guess thats why they give kids different forms of speed to calm them down. Lol
She was a beauty man.. i like the plants that throw out that one main cola then the rest of the plant is all bushy with nice sized buds underneath. Well done brother!
Rest up you have definitely earned it.. hope ya get to enjoy some rounds of golf and some time with family. Tried to hit a few this weekend with dad and wow i got the grass torn up pretty quick lol. He sure showed me up!

May be right up your alley. A pretty damn strong herb actually. Initial peak intensity is a real good blast. Good pairing with the WiFi w/ its parallels.
