Breeding & Growing Journal

CMX- I moved it to abandonded as I was too flat chat with the harvesting, seeds, etc. Have still got the girls going, the 3 of them are all seeded and plant 1 in particular is quite pungent to smell whilst plant 2 is very sturdy and forming solidly. Plant 4 is still small but thats ok as I just wanted the seed. Will post some pics to the journal!

High DGMGH, I like the indica dominance the Chunky Cheese carries, keeps it short and it also starts to flower pretty quick, and it packs on some nice weight as well. I'll snap a shot of a CC for ya tonight, they're about 2 weeks from harvest ;)

EDIT

If I could redo just one thing on my current grow it would be not inducing flowering, but rather let them show sex naturally. Both strains look like they'll be some superb smoke!

Wolfie,

Have got an indoor cupboard with a 250watt Hps. Nice and tall cupboard, only use it for clones and veg up to 5 weeks. Find that it gives me a jump every 2 weeks with a new strain. Kind of perpetual grow, only at the moment, am really getting into strain breeding, so have new grows every 2 weeks.

With the Solastic on the 22nd of September, most will be outdoor grown and only bought inside again for flowering as per breeding run. Have got Silver Deluxe (Q1xCASSH) nearly ready on the CASSH so I have to find room there as well!!!

It's not so much work as it is a fascination.......

Dez, will be the first grow of the skunkbubble, as such. Have seeds available for start in about 3 weeks time. Am also excited about getting the Silver Deluxe seeds up and the Ventura Gold as well....

oh yes, i meant as in you jus bred the strain and now your puttin it back in your mix... i like, wish i could get a hold of some dust for my lady... good growin:grinjoint:

Ice & WidowSkunk 2 Pac

Have had these 2 growing in constant 12/12, so as to test for myself a grower's journal here on 420mag. It was about growing 12/12 from seedling to harvest.
Small plants but true to form have started flowering after 19 days. Have, yet again gotten a MALE WIDOWSKUNK!! Out of 4 seeds germinated, all 4 have turned out to be males. Am using the pollen already from a Male WS with a Bubblegum (SKUNKBUBBLE). Will not be using this plant so I will cull it out tomorrow.

Nice work matey. I'm in Andamooka by the way, trying ma best to do what you do. Yer a master mate.
One question...do ya know much about Aussie strains. Havin a tough time finding info. My digs are litrally digs as house is underground to beat the heat. Makes it hard to grow but temps down below are cool (24C). Bad water is main prollem.

Mullumbimby, ouch under ground near cobber peddy! If you need any help send me a private message.

Are you from Mullum in NSW?

As far as Aussie strains go, most of our genetics are from South East Asia, so we have a great deal of Sativa genes running around this country. But, as always, seeds come here from all over, so I would say that there is about 50-50 Australian conditioned and Seedbank stock plants.

DG, I would think that the stress of 12/12 from the start would make the plant think it missed most of the growing season and try to spread it's genetics by turing male and spreading pollen. However, I am not that well versed on what in genetics or environment will be the deciding factor in turning a plant male. (Just thinking out loud) :peace: :smokin:

Wolfie, that is exactly what I thought! But I thought too that I would give it a go as the journal here showed fairly strong growth and flowering? Maybe a hydro setup would work? I am not sure but what I did get was early indication of sexing though. 4 out of the 5 WidowSkunk seeds I have platned have been male! The 1 I have left is still undecided. Fingers crossed it is female!

you guys should look into the "NO MERCY" 12/12 from seed technique.

I dont think it will make the plant hermie. . . i might have if i didn't watch a no mercy journal that is now comlpleted. maybe i will find it for you.
