Brandon420's Living Soil 2022 Second Run

Amazing information! Thank you so much Azimuth.
I learned a lot from the masters that taught me organic growing, but I still have so much reading to do. Only been doing this a few years, learned from the some of the originals that grew weed with these practices. Amazing hands on knowledge, but I tend to lack in retaining specifics... maybe its the weed. haha
I really appreciate your added info, changes things big on the spray and feed regime.
In his book 'Jadam Organic Farming', Master Cho says of fern (which he refers to as "bracken"), "Like Ginko, it has excellent pesticide effect."

-and-

"The following ingredients have a strong pesticide effect in ascending order: sunchoke leaves, sunchoke tubers, ginko leaves, ginko fruits, and Korean Parque flower root. Bracken can replace ginko. Oleander can substitute KPF root. JHS, made from ginko fruits, controls almost all pests and has an excellent repellent effect."

The book's worth a read if you haven't already. It's written for small farms so I've had to scale the recipies down for a small grow. You could probably use 'em straight up with the size you've got going.

There are sections for:
Soil preparation,
Jadam Liquid Fertilizers (JLF),
Jadam Microbial Solution (JMS),
Jadam Wetting Agent (JWA),
Jadam Natural Pesticide (JNP),
Jadam Sulfer (JS),
Jadam Herbal Solution (JHS)
and various pests and diseases and recommended concoctions with which to treat them.

Good stuff. You're probably already doing a lot of it but there's so much in there I'll bet you'd learn some new tools for your grow.

It's just part of walking through the garden... little branch adjust here and there... but a lot of them get to do there own thing to an extent.
Wha your garden is so big can only imagine how long it takes to train them all!

Planted a few Gush Mint of the porch today. Mix some old potting soil with some wood chips, alfalfa, alfalfa meal, fish meal, fish bone meal, kelp, neem seed meal, gypsum, rock dust, and some compost. Made a very hot mix to give these things another big boost before they start to naturally go into flower. Hope you all enjoy!

No fog today
Love the view from your porch.
Hope you are well Amigo.

Some times I do... but in this case.... I have healthy strong plants and they are about to get pushed to their limits.
If I had planned ahead on the plant purchase and had appropriate time I would have let the soil sit 2 weeks first.
We have been having cold nights and everything is starting to flower, that hot mix cooking with the plant will help keep it away from flowering for a bit longer also.... in my experience.
We are all along for the ride on this one though... lets see on next weeks episode... Did Brandon burn his plants being too ruthless with his soil mix?
It won't be the first... I always tend to over feed, feed early, and use hot mixes.

You don't let it cook a while before planting? No worries about burning the roots?

Don't worry, be happy :)

Thanks Bill! I will have to do a post with pictures more focused of the land and the original growing stories the land/business owner has to tell, from growing in creeks and trees through the 80's and 90's dealing with CAMP raids and what not.
He built this house and porch, and I have the wonderful privilege to live in it and take charge of the business he built. It's amazing, I'm so grateful... especially when looking off the views from the deck.

Good morning/afternoon everyone...

Here's a few update pics... put some descriptions for each picture as always.

Looking good!
Thanks Grateful!
This came up on my Facebook memories... Here is some pics from the tail end of the 1st run of deps in 2020. Had a really late 2nd run that year, doing planting in the end of august and September. Also was hit with the August complex fire just weeks later after this picture.

Thanks Grateful!
