Bluter's Happy Home For Hilarious Hempsters

just gave the tangie an early taste .. sorta mid cure ... oooh zowie.. very indica. :p

glad it was just a taster. it's a harder hitter than i figgered by the amber. a lot of sandalwood terp and maybe a taste of pine on the in, and very smooth - but that could still be water - scotch peat and smoke on the out - not harsh but surprising - think that side may do good on the cure.

:bongrip:

Nice report. From the name, I guess I expected more of a citrus character.

me too. was expecting orange terp outright ... er .. it was a serious mutie early. a twisted triclops, literally pealed it apart to train .. :cheesygrinsmiley:

even the clone is a tri -plant . so could just be the pheno expression.

Awful quiet in here. Just checking.
Stay safe and be well bluter!
:green_heart:

lots going on elsewhere. launched some new systems at work and have been there 14 hrs a day for 2 wks solid.
it's great to be low level management in a shit industry

Wow! Wish I'd found this journal earlier...

I've just learned about hempy grows for the first time from Hashgirl's grow journal. I'm very interested to learn more about this process...

Guess I'll be going back through this journal to see how you got here.

All my best,
~Magnus

drop by here anytime as well. bit of a snoozefest right now..

new project brewing -- somewhat hempy inspired. gonna be a tight window lol.. :p

so my mom loves to garden. vegetable garden really, but garden in general. part of why she likes the jungle room. but she is older, has lifelong health related issues etc etc... and can not garden in the traditional sense due to access.

anyways there are a few outdoor container cannabis garden concepts out there - and i figger i have hit on one that i think we can make happen for - well anything ... a somewhat self - watering approach involving two stacked containers with the bottom providing a small reservoir.

the outer bucket bottom is lined with loose rock - or left as an air gap. think we are going rock. a single hole is drilled in the lower / outer bucket - just above the gap space. the bottom of the upper bucket gets holes drilled through, then is stacked on the lower bucket, and filled with soil mix of choice and planted.

water until runoff as per hempy style, and let grow. res should last 3 days to a wk depending on container size / plants / growth stage etc... res is not always needed with young plants.

have a plan to raise the buckets to an easier work height with plastic storage racks.
bucket size choice is something huge from wal-mart ....
soil mix is what we can get / make cheap... :(
run off water is gonna be the nutes. may have to supplement. might mean the indoor goes all year now lol ... :laughtwo:

nothings gonna be pretty ...

oh, yeah it's gonna be in my dad's front yard - for all the neighbours to gawk - he's all in :cheesygrinsmiley:

materials will get destroyed over a couple season's use, but are cheap enough who cares ? would be as long as we need. might even get wintered outdoor. dunno. we're white trash and i don't got no fingers that care.

it's sort of a mother's day gift. mom's not gonna be around much longer and it's kinda what we can get away with.

whatcha think it can work ? :)

think i'll ask @Emilya to see she can think of an a la' outside mal-mart mix i don't have to cook ...
got perlite, vermiculite, and more waste perlite - lol. there's gotta be some rough sphagnum around too...

who else with outdoor soil container ideas

Sounds interesting! This is worthy of tweaking.
1. Fines in the soil will end up in the reservoir. Maybe not a big deal - can one lift out upper bucket and rinse out res?

2. Roots might clog drainage holes - can one lift upper bucket out and trim/drill more holes?
3. Why use soil? Why not hempy? :)

Kinda sounds like the self-watering pots that my mom has for her tomato plants. It has a 3" reservoir at the bottom.

hempy does not support root vegetables and requires a stricter fertigating schedule. i dunno what is going in there ultimately.

bottom res will get mucked. both buckets act as a total system and you just roll with it.

yup. same concepts. there' s dozens out there. there is a soil on soil stack container system that i'd love to try if i had a house / yard / life.

idea is rotate top stack to bottom year over year for natural regeneration and composting.
