nice grab i felt the same when i got my azomite! that stuff is wikkid good packed with over 70 minerals i got 50lbs for 40 bucks and again recently when i got my latest bpn shipment, these things sure make a nice difference!

Couple days after the end of the 8th week 9.5/14.5 DLR.

Some 36 hours of totlal darkness was required before harvest to build up the ol THC & heres the girls some what defoliated

With out the stakes...

Time for the slow air dry.

Been an interesting grow to be honest as a new soil mix was used plus home brew tea (bennies) even with the early trichome developement around the 5th week the girls proved fruitfull.

I must admit that 2 of the plants are out standing with big time branch bending buds with 1 small girl being the runt of the pack, i look fowards to weighing up in a couple of weeks !

Well after every harvest i do my after harvest maintenance... aka pot cleaning


Keeps things clean 'n' tidy pest & disease free

After all i discover some tiny albino mites living in the hydroton/clay pebble filled saucer dish... nice dark & damp place for em, i don't think they where dangerous to plant health tho but none the less they where exterminated.

All pots/dishs where soaked for 30 mins in a solution of jeyes fluid & hydroton/clay pebbles where soaked in boiling fceking hot water, job done

Preparations are being made for a tent cleaning session soon, using a diluted solution of bleach... this should more or less be done after every grow.


Anyways - some root stuff !

The roots grown down into the saucer dish with hydroton clay pebbles in, this acts as a mini reserva & helps with watering, i often use bio heaven micro nutrient feed in this dish as some of micro nutrients are in chelated form which goes straight into the plant.

Heres some root mass in the ol air pots... designed to prevent root balling by air prunning roots !

All i can say is start with the basic's watch 'n' learn & then progress step by step improving knowledge basis, its a fair ol stroll down that dusty road i must admit... but it ain't half fun.

Been a ol busy day for lil fuzzy...

Cleaning with more cleaning happening in severals days with a major tent wipe down, preparations with a New Improved Soil Mix & much, much more happening soon.

I don't think i'll keep it going on in this journal tho as this is near the end & to many grows in one journal blurs the lines of info & stuff tryed in each seperate grow etc



Anyway here's the next wave of Blue Mystic still in veg which may require a couple more weeks yet !

Most of the LST is done by now & a lot of pipe cleaners removed, what i'm trying to do is encourage the girls to stretch a little bit & grow taller by fighting for space as i only veg in a very small area of 60cm by 60cm for 4 girls.

If i'm not happy with results i may resort to a week of veg under the 400w dual spectrum as a last measure tho.

A lot of final training will result in staking of girls once put into flowering tent & smaller/under performing branchs will be removed for new clones etc & here are the girls

125w 6500k CFL light is being adjust by an inch or 2 every few days to encourage growth with the girls being feed twice a week in late veg with biobizz organic nutrients, mainly being biobizz fish mix, alg-a-mic & bio heaven nutrients of 2ml of each per litre of water at present.

The Bad News is that ya not gonna really see these ones develope over the next few months... I may sneak in a pic or 2...

Whilst waiting for stuff to dry 'n' wat not....

It took some good 3 weeks to slow air dry this crop, this was more than likely due to low ambient temps.

Best plant weighed in at 56g some 9g heavy than last personal best of 46g

Smallest plant weighed in at 36g some 5g ligher than smallest plant of last grow...

On average this grow yielded 48.5g per plant compared with 42g per plant last grow thats roughtly between 10% to 15% increase of yield which i may contribute to improved soil mix !

Well i normally stick with a good brand name grow nutrient & micro nutrient feed this should cover most needs of a growing girlie


You won't go far wrong with a Ca/Mg supplement applyed once a week with your regular feeding regime.



Soil ammendments are worth looking into also to bolster certain macro/micro nutrients !
