So I picked up sum diatomaceous earth 2day but it's not food grade so will I be able 2 use it still?? If sum1 cud let me know I wud greatly appreciate it and while I'm at it here are sum shots takin in the flower forest lol no I also got my Ipm ordered last night which consists of Monterey garden spray with Spinosad concentrate, dyna-gro pro-tekt nutritional supplement for plants, and bio-ag full power plant nutrient so until the order gets here wud I be able 2 use the de in the above pic? But yeah on2 sum bud porn

For the Diatomaceus Earth, I'm assuming you want to use it to kill some sort of crawling beasty, something like thrips or whiteflies larvae. DE is basically very small and sharp seashell pieces that will rip the bodies of small bugs. Chemically it's mostly silica, then calcium, and then a bunch of trace minerals. This would be good food in soil, but your soil really has no time to break down the DE into micronutrients. It won't hurt humans (as you note, they sell food grade DE) and it won't hurt plants. Used by itself or alongside treatments, it should be fine.

For soil treatment, DE does not like to be wet, so use AFTER top watering. DE is most useful in a fine, powdery layer. Imagine shaking pepper on eggs, or dusting talcum powder on a babies bum. Less is more I haven't tried it, but I imagine a salt or pepper shaker would be a good way to apply.

Sounds like fungus gnats. Do your sprays, DE, and IPM - but don't panic. Fungus gnats don't do a lot of damage. Your Monterrey Spray will kill the adults, but there are larvae in the soil, so it can take a month or more (spraying every 3 days) to clean out all the fungas gnats if the DE doesn't get them. Almost all commercial soils seem to come with fungus gnats.

If the costs of spraying start to add up, homemade neem oil spray will eradicate them for less money. A pint of pure neem oil in a 2% solution makes 200 half-cup treatments of neem spray. A quart of commercial spray is only 8 half-cup treatments.

wen i was germing my one purple kush seed it didnt crack r pop a tail or nuthn but i put it into soil nun the less n it still hasnt sprouted bout how long shud i wait b4 i jus put another seed in there cuz i dnt wana put one mre in there n then they both sprout lol its been like a week they been in soil the other 2 early vixen popped up threw the soil nice and fast lol i like this strain so far it seems to be a fast hardy plant the stems r nice n thick she a gud color n look to her so so far not a bad choice i jus hope the meds r jus as gud lol but yea tht pk bout how much longer shud i wait b4 i jus do another seed in there?? every1 and member to keep it green and stay frosty my friends

k so here is my pk in veg and she has sum wierd look to her a few leaves is this from sum kinda pest maybe sum from my flower girls finally got over to the veg girls alil bit or sumthn my ipm order hasnt showed up yet it got lost in the mail so had to re order it again so hopefully this week it will arrive but yea can any1 tell me what this is or is it normal to have small defects in sum leaves??

oh and also i topped my early vixen again to give her four tops instead of two so we will see how she likes tht along with sum lsting and ipm wen ever it decides to show up!! lol but yea here she is

and now on to alil bud porn b4 bed lol gotta love it man this alfalfa tea does wonders and craft mix from build a soil as well those r my 2 favorites for using teas and i foiler spray with sum kelp tea and ewc and also my other teas i mix it up every few days lol but yea with out further delay enjoy

i hope the alfalfa tea helps boost these ladies even more n tht the pest issue didnt stunt them to much atleast they r looking way better then i thought they wud at one point i thought i wud have 2 end up tossing them n not get nuthn but i was wrong im hoping to get atleast 3 to four ounces with both of my plants together from my few previous yields these look to be rite around tht give r take sum lol but yea thanx every1 for all the help along my way and also im really glad i found this place every1 is just so great and helpful!!

How long did you germ your seed in water? It was less than a day, right? Did the seed absorb water and sink, or did it float?
I usually give my seeds 10 days in soil, but I don't think any one of them has taken more than 5-6 days to sprout.

I would suspect:
large insects: caterpillars
mechanical damage: caught in a fan blade or torn in handling. possible.
genetic damage: not likely
Uneven spraying: A 'splatter' from something you sprayed may have caused a local problem.

If you don't see caterpillars, I wouldn't worry.


I was meaning to ask you, now that you are deeper into your grow, how are you doing on your sprouted and aerated teas? Have you settled into a rhythm ?

I should have read ahead. It sounds like you are keeping up a good pace on your teas and foliars. I never established a good schedule for teas when I worked with the build-a-soil. I just wasn't sure when to do what. My grow suffered. You are doing much better.

oh yea thts for sure ive only had one of my girls in all organic harvested so far n she was with shitier seeds but still betterr then anything ive dun so far nowi cant wait till my ev n pk get there man o man lol i jus got 2day part of my ipm order the protekt showed up finally so hopefully the rest will be here by 2morow r the next day but this is the pro tekt

oh also i jus ordered a new vaporizer i was guna get a volcano so i cud do freshies but i found this one its almost jus like the volcano slightly different look but a 100 bux cheaper and from all the reviews it seems to be jus as gud so lets hope so but this is a pic of her in all her glory lol

oh yeah man has skills like crazy wen it comes down to growing lol but yea here is alil update of whats goin on i did lastnight the protekt over my girls and 2day wen i came in to turn lights on i seen this

i now its not great lol but tht was my girl tht was completly sagging i thought she was guna die i only kept her around cause all the pests where jus messing with her at first the others where kinda left alone 4 the most part so untill i got my ipm order in i figured keep her around since whatever pest i got likes her better then the rest lol but now wen i wen in to day and seen tht she is starting to perk back up everywhere it gives me hope tht maybe she will actually turn into sumthin worth keeping other then to feed 2 pests lol

oh and this is one of my other girls tht is doin really gud actually!! She will be taking a chop shop trip soon sumtyme in the nex 2 weeks r so is my rough guesstimate anyway she is getting so heavy in her buds tht she is almost falling over so i had to tie her up against one of my bamboo sticks i had in the pot nex 2her. man these buds have got to be dense and heavy as shit cause ive had a few plants b4 from these same seeds and none of those were falling over an have to be tied up lol anyway here she is every1 enjoy and

k so alil update i added in a 250w hps to my flower closet and added in my early vixen and purple kush so now all i got in my veg tent r my 2 ev and possibly a pk but i dnt believe it will sprout but yea as 4 my flower area now i have to call it lol since ive extended my flowering closet its coming out of the front of it so now i call it the flower area not closet haha but yea here they are the left one i didnt top is the purple kush and the right one i topped twice so she wud have mre colas and a mre even canopy is the early vixen

in the first pic u can kinda see the hps light i got goin as well as my leds so we will see how they like the new light added in hopefully they respond well to my ipm i got goin still noticed a few bugs flying around and walking along the drain tray so maybe thts a gud thing n they arent on the plants jus around it and hopefully after a couple treatments they will be gone n illl jus have to keep on top of the ipm stuff wen 2 order mre so i dnt run out n member to do it at certain times lol and in my veg tent here is the upcoming early vixen tht i will be doing sum major training on and topping to create as many colas as i can and see what i can do with her anyway here r the lil gals enjoy

I have 600W HPS. The rules say keep at least 18" away. I START them at 18-20" and let them grow to within 6" from the glass (9" from the light.) My strongest, biggest buds are always on the top ( duh! ) The entire plant grows better with the closer, stronger light.

p.s. I had one cola that I supercropped twice in flower and it still grew up against the glass. It had a flat spot about the size of a dime. I don't know when that spot was smoked. My wife didn't talk or complain about the bud. It wasn't one of her favorite strains anyway.
