Bignstrange's 4x4 800W COB LED Grow Tent - Promix - New Grower - Drop In!

Thanks Red!

I'll probably do something like that half inch a day kinda thing-these lights are meant for an industrial space so I'm just trying to be cautious in my little tent XD
That's a safe plan. Little by little and you'll find a sweet spot. Once they grow a bit and get stronger then they won't mind the light much closer. I'm 12-18 now. And before if I had it under 30 then they didn't like it

Yea I think yesterday I had it too close most of the day, it was almost like they didn't want to push out the next set of leaves because the light was so intense. I saw them start but they slowed right down.

Moved the light up for the last 6 hours and boom growing quick again, well see what kind of gains we get today at around 34 inches and leave it there for them to grow up to until they ask for more!

They looked pretty stoked on life this morning . .

Thats always a good thing. It may take a bit of messing around over a few days to find the sweet spot. So be patient and you'll find it

Dropped the light about a half inch, just saw the plants had grown a mm or two vertically, this should slow that down a bit!

Giving the exhaust system a test run overnight before making it semi permanent. I'll show you the final fitment details when I finish it tomorrow!

Exhaust system works really well, even with my fan controller turned all the way down it brought temps down 6 degrees and lowered humidity pretty effectively. Good for flower not so great now so I'm testing it with just the booster fan now to see if that works for this stage at least!

All the same boring stuff, turned on the main exhaust fan and have it on low from now on, booster fan off for now. Well see how hard it is to maintain humidity, it seems to drop down to 40s pretty quick with that exhaust fan. Girls have water in the medium though, they're gunna have to learn to get it from there sooner or later so well start learnin em now!

Each time I checked on them I gently pushed down on the fan leaves to let light to the center just for a second in a feeble attempt to signal the next set of leaves to get a move on! Looked like it mightve helped lol

G'night y'all, sweet dreams .

Don't sweat the humidity too much. If you're really concerned, cut the bottom out of plastic container (for juice or whatever) and set it over the plant with the lid off.
Spray some water in there and you have a moisture dome.
That's if you're REALLY concerned. But you should be absolutely fine!

I'm thinking I'll wait until they are pretty bushy(8to12inches tall),I'm gunna train them up just a tad, then out so that I can lollipop them later, between that and lst I should be able to get a lot of colas on these babies. That being said when I go to lollipop or I see little shoots that can be cut off I.e. the first ones once they are big enough I'll use those as clones!

I'm working on getting a second flowering tent so that I can just rotate between my veg tent and the 2 flowering tents and get a harvest roughly every month once I get clones going.

I have some peppermint kush seeds that apparently rock in a sog so I really wanna get another flowering tent and get that going XD

Sorry for rambling, not yet medicated this morning and kind of all over the place XD

I love growing by clone, it's made such a difference. I wish I could get separate tents or even just a tent, but maybe one day. It looks great and you have plenty of light to make something beautiful happen :Namaste::goodjob:

Thanks Shorti, I appreciate it!

And quick pic update 10 13 17 am

Pots are getting dry again, I'm hoping they'll make it till tomorrow morning but I'll check through the day and try to feed with at least 8 hours light on if need be

All of them are pushing leaves like crazy, I even see the next 2 sets on moira already, crazy stuff!

Will finish exhaust system and have pics of finished project in a few hours!

Cheers :blunt:

Looking great bro!!!!
Thanks homie, these girls are just having their morning stretch before standing up it seems! I have a feeling this next week well have some exciting growth :cheesygrinsmiley:

Temps with just exhaust fan on low seem to hang around 76 degrees, humidity drops to 50 percent within an hour of spraying the tent so I filled a bowl with perlite and wetted it, put in front of the fan to see if that'll help maintain a higher humidity.

Going back to Blazing Waffles post, I'm not too concerned about humidity but I would like to see it around 60 instead of 50, ambient rh is 60 so the fan system must be working well to bring it down to 40s so quickly!

Well see if this helps!

My humidity has really dropped today - Ambient 41 and in my tent dropped to 35. I gave the girls a misting but I don't think it matters as I am close to harvest.

I read one thread that suggested dipping a towel in water and leave it inside tent hanging over a bucket. I may give it a try.

You want your rH lower in flower. 40 is absolutely fine!!!
Don't get it too moist as it invites rot, powdery mildew, and pests!!!

How about drying when I harvest in about a week? Do I want to keep it around 40-45% for initial dry. I of course don't want to over dry it or dry it too fast.

Drying is slightly different. You wanna be around 60% with air movement in the room (not enough to move branches just to keep air moving)
I don't really have the ability to control, so I tend to dry around 50%. I just have to keep an eye on it. It can go from stem being perfect and snapping, to crispy nugs in a day if your rH is too low.
The faster they dry, the more terpines you lose (totally in my opinion and I have no scientific evidence to back this up, just confirmation bias)

Ya Troy BW gotcha covered, 35 to 45 is perfect for late flower, 40 being the goal usually!

For drying I think around 50 is good and 75 degrees, that's what works for me anyways, dried my fluffy auto nug sticks in a week in those conditions and it turned out nice, I'll snap a pic when I get a minute!

Pretty lame finishing touches, basically just jammed cardboard into the frame of the window underneath the panel, then sandwiched the foam board between the window frame and cardboard and taped the ducting into the vent board!

It was pretty insulative before, but now it's solid, temps should stay the same with this in the window unless were talking -40, sorry every other part of Canada:(

And a pic of it super zoomed in from like 10 feet away, closer than anyone's gunna get so I think it'll work!

It works really well and adds a lot of power to my 4 inch carbon filter fan set up, might not even have to upgrade it down the road!
