Bignstrange's 4x4 800W COB LED Grow Tent - Promix - New Grower - Drop In!

No but you can help support that little main with a tooth pick if need be.....
I'm trying to keep the fan I have on them so they strengthen naturally too, it's a pretty strong fan and I think it stunted their growth yesterday cause I had it pointed right at them!

This morning I adjusted it so that it was just hitting the leaves so they would just dance a little for me.:p I also have stems from my auto grow over the summer that I was thinking I could use as plant supports lol maybe I'll dig up a pic of those girls

These are the girls I had growing in about 6 hours of sunlight a day over Summer! I messed up because I was completely uneducated on autos but just jumped in before refreshing myself on the art of growing so they didn't turn out awesome, but we did get some good pineapple express off them!

I turned the trim into some full melt hash and it's just amazing stuff, glad I put these out on the deck and got myself back into growing!

Quick group shot around 545 pm Pacific! I might try lowering the light to 32 inches tomorrow cause they are enjoying It!

Just moved all the lights and fans around to the new set up I'll be using for the mean time! Decided to light up both led panels since I was just using the cfl for heat, figured I midas well just start running both since power draw is the same and I get more useable light. Heat output is slightly less but these babes will harden a bit over the next week so I'm not too concerned. I'll also keep the heat mat on unless the leds can get the temps up past 78!

All of these plants have a real dark green going already, like super deep canadian wilderness green. Good sign, I think? .

Progression shots coming within the hour :blunt:

Nightly progress pics!

I apologize in advance for purple pictures, once they are less tender I'll pull them out for pics or I'll hang a cfl to counter act these super bright LED's :S

Also 2 led panels holds a perfect 80 degrees and high humidity cause I can close the tent up a bit more since I'm not cooling lights as much! Heat mat will be on at night, off once the tent hits temp every morning for maybe another 4 or 5 days!

These girls are also drinking pretty good, they all had a little bit of moisture in the middle of the pot, I could feel it when I picked it up, so well see if they dry out over night and maybe give them a feed tomorrow morning. Lights at around 32 to 33 inches now, well see how they take it! :slide:

Really considering upgrading my grow glasses cause these lights show no mercy :S

G'night lil babes . .

G'night 420 :420:

G'night moon.

Looking good sir ..

They look like they are ready to fly
Thank you kind sir!

I'm pushing off my urge to feed them for a few hours since they still feel just less than dry when I pick up the pots!

Gunna hitem with og tea, superthrive and root tonic today :cheesygrinsmiley:

Sent the company I bought the leds from an email about hanging distance.

Apparently the recommended hanging distance on these lights is anywhere from 2 to 6 feet :S

I've got them hung at about 33 inches right now but I'm wondering if that's too strong for them? I have the par charts at the start of the thread, does anyone know what amount of light I should be going for when they are this young? Should I try the light at 48 inches or is that just crazy?

Lol I'll figure it out, I'm just so unsure of what these lights can do! It seems like the plants did slow down a bit, could be a little too much water, or adjusting to the light so that's why I'm thinking about it at 100% ocd levels.

Anyways about to ppm my tap water, and get some nutes into these girls, pics soon!

10 11 2017

Ok just fed the plants and pulled em out of the tent for pics. Plants aren't showing any light burn that I can tell so the cobs will stay where they are for now. If someone notices something I'm missing please speak up!

Mixed a gallon of nutes;
1 drop, and I mean a tiny drop of superthrive
3 mL regen a root
Ph came out to 5.8 after adding it to tap water that had been standing for 3 days
Top dressed 1/4ish tsp of OG Tea Root Webstar

I fed each plant 250 mL this time, they've had enough messing around, being babied. Next time they dry out I'll start giving them the real food. Also I didn't do cal mag this time cause promix has dolomite lime that breaks down into cal mag so I'm not worried about it for a few weeks!

Plant pics just after feeding 130pm pacific

Drew out the exhaust box system, gunna cut it and put it together, hopefully pics later!

I also drew it so that I only used 1 foam board worth (cut them roughly in half when I picked them up) so I have some for a later project!

Looking forward to seeing your fan box.

As for distance from LED - I have found that you can move pretty close without burning the plants. I usually use the back of my hand - If it is hot on your hand it will be hot on the plant.

I keep mine at about 12-15" often raise them to cover the edges of my tent.

Thanks Troy!

My only concern is how much the seedlings can actually handle, especially with uv and ir, these lights are pushing close to 900 par at 3 feet away, I'm just wondering how much is too much for a seedling.

I'm also super uneducated and that could be completely irrelevant but I know that's a lot of freaking light at 3 feet away and I don't wanna stunt the babes in any way!

Once they are a little older I'll definitely push it and see if I can get between 12 and 18 inches during flowering, get monster nugs all the way down >:)

Cheers :blunt:

N fan box pictures coming right up .

Ok so I put together the components for my red neck exhaust system. I'm hoping to finish it off tomorrow once it's cured, and I'll show you the peculiars of the set up.

This is what you'll see from outside;
Plain foam

Taped foam-didnt feel like spray painting it and wasn't sure if paint would eat the foam or not

Then the box that's curing

And the back side of the panel that was in the window

Tomorrow I'll finish ducting this b^#&h and give it a test run. I'll make sure I get pics of it all put together too!

Cheers!

I do all my seedlings under a 300W LED (100W actual) about 12" away. So it doesn't take much. I'd just watch for too much stretching but keep them up high until you get your first real set. That's just my $.02 for what has been working for me.
Thanks Scoooter! .

First go around so it'll be nice to figure out what works and have it a bit easier next round! Just trying to be a perfectionist .

Understand where your coming from. I wasn't think about seedlings. I've read a number of Journals and they suggest start out at 3 feet and then gradually drop them slowly and keep an eye on them. How do they like the light where you have them now?

The girls I have were clones so I don't have experience with seedlings. I initially kept the girls next to the patio door and in the hot sun of the afternoon they would really droop. I would mist them and they would recover quickly. They spent their first 2 months outside nd just soaked up the natural full sun.

They seem to be ok with it at around 33 inches, I have a hard time judging,I'm also used to just using sunlight!

I guess as long as they are growing and not stretching and not showing any burns then it's alright lol

Can't wait to be able to take clones off these girls and veg them out while these girls finish off in the flowering tent!

Looking good, they will take off. I think they are getting plenty of light, their not stretching out for light. They are probably building their roots before take off. ✌️
Thanks G, I sure hope that's what they are up to!
