BigBearNTX Perpetual Auto Grow

The type of led light has single rows of LEDs around the body of the bulb, like kernels if corn on a corn cob, which is why it’s called a corn light. Lol

It’s not a “grow light” it’s for high bay lighting. But then HID lights weren’t developed as grow lights, but also for industrial high bay use.

This is the new one:

Also, I’m shocked there haven’t been any comments about the biohazard containers I’m using. Lol

I spotted the sharps containers!! Had I been here at the time I would’ve commended you for some excellent up-cycling!!! :thumb:

Catching up - I enjoy the catchup reads. It’s like reading a good book and no waiting between updates... :surf: back to page 8! Nearly halfway here...

The first thing I thought of when I saw them were hempy pots! Lol

SOG containers.......need about 50 of them....:thumb:

I see now why you say corn light! Should be interesting to watch it in action. That CF-grow light contains the 6040-F2525 A1 chipset I tested out. They put out extreme heat if compared to other lights, this due to the on board drivers. Fairly good results if you can control the heat. Got higher temps with that light than my 400w hid.

The heat isn’t bad for me. My tent runs about 27-28c, which is higher than most folks prefer. I find it means that I have to keep up with the watering more than when I had cooler temps during the winter. But I also run hempy, so it doesn’t seem to be a big problem.

The bucket of ruderalis really, really liked the new light. So much so that it grew up to the light and one of the leaves burned. I may have to severely cut back the rudies, and let them grow new leaves. I don’t see any sign of pre-blossoms, so I suspect I don’t really have ruderalis, but photoperiod feral hemp. It still may be useful, too soon to tell.

So, Saturday update:

I’m at these kind of boring stage of a grow. The Northern Lights has one more week to go. She’s pretty much 100% cloudy everywhere I looked, but no amber. I briefly considered taking her down today, since I really need the room, but decided to not sacrifice quality for convienience. I grow NL for sleep meds, so amber is better for me.

As for the rest, three Auto Duck(less), two CBD Crack, and a White Widow, they are still chugging along.

The Ducks and one of the CBD Cracks are growing like weeds. Four plants are right at 18 inches.

One of the CBD Crack plants is lagging at about 13 inches. That’s the one I put on a bumper seat earlier this week, and moved into the center under the light to get the best PAR. She’s grown a couple inches since then, so my plan is working. Lol

My White Widow is still very small, only about five inches. I just topped her this week, we’ll see what she can do before her time clock runs out. I doubt I’ll get even an ounce from her.

My pot with the single “ruderalis” was doing great, until this morning when I snapped the stem right above the first node. Whoops! I haven’t decided if I’m going to cull the plant or let it try to recover. I will probably cull, since I have a bucket of hemp and don’t really need or have space for this one.

I’m considering making adjustments to the screen today. I like it, but I don’t like it. I think it would probably work better if I were using it on a single plant, but right now when I bend my tips over under the screen, I’m also blocking light from another plant. I may just let them grow up and see what happens. I can raise my lights about six to eight inches more before I max out.

I’m also thinking the screen, when I use it, will be on adjustable ratcheted hangers, like the lights. That way I can just raise it up to do my maintenance and then lower back down and adjust limbs.

Good to hear you can manage your heat. Well when I had 10 of those 50 watters running I was almost in the 35C range. My clone tent is situated directly over the bloom tent and was also getting hotter and lost some clones in the heat. So now its nicer and averaging round 27C in both tents.

I like your diversity in strains. Love the Northern Light. It was very long ago I was growing that... :smokin2:
