BigBearNTX Perpetual Auto Grow

Just a quick shot of the tent in anticipation of the Saturday update.

The plants in the black pots have been topped this week, that’s the three Ducks and a CBD Crack. The CBD Crack still in its nursery pot is ready to transplant tomorrow. The ruderalis and WW are still struggling.

And just to show that what I’ve learned from growing cannabis works for my veggies as well, shots of my eggplants and tomatoes. They look pretty robust, which means that my homemade veg box will work for a mother just fine.

Nice job,mate. Keep it up.

Good Saturday morning!

First up is CKS Northern Lights Auto. I decided to take her out of the tent and do some trimming. I wasn’t brave enough to actually lollipop her, but I did take some of the smaller blooming branches off to open her up. I also tried to clean up some branches down low. Hopefully I didn’t screw her up and she’ll produce for me. She got her regular feeding of a gallon of water with 5ml veg and 10ml bloom, plus 10ml of cal-mag.

After trim:

I transplanted the last three babies out of their nursery pots and into what will be their final home for this grow. The Fast Buds CBD Crack really took off this last week, so I don’t anticipate any problem there. My White Widow is doing better, but still kinda small. Hopefully she will take off now that she’s in a pot with the coco/perlite/Osmo+ mix. The black pots are regular 2l pots with huge drainage holes at the bottom. I’m going to make them work by having them in large saucers so that I can have an inch of liquid at the bottom of each for a reservoir. So far it seems to be working.

I’m moved Northern Lights into the middle of the tent directly under the big light. The small pots are circling her, but I have supplemental lights that work well for the edges of my tent. You can’t really tell, but the girls that were transplanted last week were topped during the week. I don’t think I’ll do much LST on these, since I don’t have room for them to spread. This batch will have to grow up instead of out. I can probably raise my lights another six inches if needed.

My bucket of ruderalis had to come back inside. The Roommate commented on not being comfortable with it growing on the patio. :(

I’ve pegged down the two tall plants, will probably do the same with the next ones that get too tall. I also raised my lights in the veg box as high as they can go. We’ll see how it goes. The small box has a small blurple LED and a 300w corn cob LED. I think total watts from the wall is about 150w, for two square feet of box. The tomatoes and eggplants loved it, so hopefully so will the ruderalis.

Last pic is of the Amnesia cob that I started last week. I have it out drying a for a while. When I went to vacuum seal it, a bunch of liquid was pulled out of the cob, so I opened it up, dried up the liquid with paper towel, and will let the cob dry out for a couple hours before resealing.

Gummies! Jolly Rancher Green Apple Jello base with Amnesia tincture. Made about 80 gummies. Dosing with this batch is going to be difficult since calculating strength of the tincture is difficult. I’m guessing that one gummy may be enough. I’ll give some to my taste tester to try to figure it out.

They are standing up, not to be cute, but to allow circulation so that they dry out some in the fridge. The last batch of gummies were difficult to work with since they sweated quite a bit of liquid. I hope to dry these out to the point that I can store them on the counter instead of the freezer.

Those are some sweet gummies. Have you ever tried dusting them with Jello Crystals. It would absorb the moisture and probably give a really strong burst of flavor.

I hadn’t thought of that. I tried rolling in table sugar, but that started drawing out moisture. Luckily, I only did that for one pack. I packed them into small vacuum bags, eight to a bag. My recipe made 78 gummies. That’s 11 weeks of meds for me.

Saturday update:

Holy shit, what the hell was I thinking when I popped all these seeds???????

CKS Northern Lights Auto is at about eight and a half weeks - still have about three to go.

All the other girls are between 4-5 weeks, since I started them a bit staggered starting about the first of April.

The “ducks”, the CBD Crack, and the Northern Lights are in my main tent. You can barely see the Northern Lights, she’s in the back left corner. The other ladies are growing at amazingly fast rates. Except for the CBD Crack in front, but she’s about to catch up.

I think I’m going to have to make a screen and SCROG this grow to keep the height under control.

I moved the stunted White Widow and the potted ruderalis into the small “tent” with the bucket of ruderalis. There is about two feet of clearance in this tent, so hopefully they will respond well to the light and start growing.

Bought a cheap Chinese 100w COB light, should be here next week. I may need to create another grow space somewhere. Lol

The small tent seems to be working fine with my 75w blurple and the 300w corn light. That’s about 80w from the wall, so that’s within the target zone.

No LST planned for either tent, other than SCROG. I just don’t have room for them to spread out, they have to go up. Nice thing though is that all the girls responded well to topping and each plant has about eight tops.

With the new girls in the 2 liter pots, I’m using the deep saucers as the reservoir, so I’m still considering this more of a hempy than a coco grow. But with the incredibly rapid growth, I’ve still been having to water some of the girls daily - mostly the ones that get the brunt of the air from the fan.

You know, this hobby is so much more fun than growing tomatoes. Those grow so slow comparatively. Lol

Speaking of tomatoes - all the veggies that I transplanted last week have taken off like wildflowers! Most of them have grown about six inches in a week! That’s crazy! I’m hoping they get a lot of vegetative growth in before the heat gets here. This abnormally cool spring weather has been good for late starting plants like mine, but tomatoes don’t really set fruit above about 90-95F, so I probably have another month for them to grow up.

Looking like you got it all going on......

Woot......gonna be in some meds for a while after this grow... :slide:

That’s the plan!!! I’m hoping for two ounces off the Northern Lights, and at least once ounce each off the new girls. I’m aiming on the low side, to be cautious.

Funny how when I was buying an ounce would last me at about eight months. Now an ounce a month seems like underachieving. Lol

Lol, be careful tents breed like bunnies. I started with one and have six now.

I really want to put a 4x2 in the laundry room, but I’m afraid The Roommate would freak out. With my closet grow, I can close the closet and close the bedroom door, and it’s much more discreet.

Now, if I run tomatoes in one next winter, he may go for it. And once the tent is up with tomatoes, may as well utilize all the space by also filling it with a little cannabis. Lol

My new screen! Such a pain in the ass to make. Had to trim about four inches off the poles, which meant that I had to find something to cut the damn things with. I eventually found a circular saw and did the job. And then I didn’t have enough of the coated wire, but found some poly twine to finishe it up.

The pic shows my supplemental lighting for my corners - a small grow LED and a small white LED. All eight add about 100w to the grow, about 25 per corner.

Oh dang...he went all evil scientist scrog grow on us......

Looks great....:thumb:
