im in aswell bro im running coco aswell with an nutes this round i wont be using a ph pen at all and i may just run coco with no perlite aswell :circle-of-love::Namaste:
You need a PH pen to PH your water down into the 5's for Coco.

I have ordered one. I didn't realise it was that low. Our water here is about 6.5, I will need to get some ph down too.
You can use lemon juice as a natural PH down.

its even changes the needed fluctuation when i switch to bloom ph pens are old news with ph perfect tech also my coco is treated :)
My coco is from a brick, seems nice and clean, no smell at all really. The label said something about excellent ph properties but didn't say specifically if it was treated (calcium nitrate I think is used)

News to me. Good to know. I'd PH anyway lol.

if your coco comes from a brick then you need to treat it your self before use thats why i always go for treated clean coco its already been treated to around 5.5
Ya I have been reading about CEC and so on,.. The label on the brick said "neutral ph".. Perhaps I will pick up a bag of good stuff when I get the AN nutes. For now they will have to live in the coco I soaked in calmag solution for 24 hours but according to what I have read it should have been a much stronger concentration.

yea i have a journal going atm just waiting on my beans haha, bagged treated coco is easyer and simpler less treatment needed you just give your pre soak in start nutes/veg nutes and cal mag the advanced cal mag is a bit more priicey but you will notice u hardly need as much as its such great quality, ive tried vita link coco and canna coco both really good results the vita fluctuated less tho but after you re use it its normaly dialed in but with ph perfect noneof this is even an issue ,i give a weak soak in the veg/start nutes then normal water for first few days then right in to veg nutes gradually with coco u wont need as much remember your giving them nutes everyday so not loads is needed and espesh with autos although i have had some hungry ones that love loads of nutes :MoreNutes::MoreNutes: haha

Gave the girls another watering shortly after those pictures.. About 60ml each. They are still being kept about 2 inches under the t5 fluorescent, just sitting on a desk during lights on and set in the tent for nap time each day. They will be getting a bigger drink next time in a couple days and a few days after that I will fire up the tent and MH light. Running around 24C day and night and around 50 percent RH.

The girls are quite happy in their new home. I thought #2 was closing the growth gap a few days back, but #1 seems to be a bit more vigorous after all. Also pretty sure I can get the faintest sweet /weed smell off #1 now... Planning to transplant to a gallon container in a few more days so I can get them buried deeper. AN nutes are supposed to be in later this week.
