Barneys Farm Sponsors Grow: Gorilla Zkittles, Orange Sherbert Plus Many More

I feel you mate. Prices here are increased dramatically due to the currency. I hate going to a hydro store these days. Finance is already tough but in an environment like that, people become more likely to screw each other. Hydro stores are doing this in a state of art level :rip:

I don't have a wife or any kids but the daughter of a close friend of mine will be two y.o. this wednesday. His life dramatically changed after the birth of his kid. He looks very very happy but down and exhausted at the same time :meditate: Having a baby is a very serious thing to deal with. I always assumed that way but I only internalised this idea after observing a case from a tiny distance. I wish you good luck and great healt for your baby. He/she will have a great parents as far as I can tell from here :passitleft:
Thanks for the kind words TC. It's certainly not getting any cheaper. That's why it seemed like such a good idea to recycle the soil. We'll sort this out no matter what :)

Haha never considered some of my grandchildren are nearly old enough (13) to take their own paths in a few years. jeebus thats scary.lol. I am a truther in the real world and show my children the real zionist controlled world and schemes so they will make moral judgements based on real truth and humanism. Qanon is my breakfast with coffee.lol. I have never been embarrassed or ashamed of my 30 year love of weed either. peace and love

Sorry to hear about the continued leaf issues Professor. Given the money situation, I'd go with whichever is cheaper...synthetic nutes or new soil. If you go with new soil feel free to replant them now into the same size pot with the new soil if you want. They may slow down a bit while they settle in but then they should be happy as clams. Me? I'm a synthetic nute guy!

I am growing organic but I had way better results with synthetic nutes in the past. I don't think the quality its directly related with the nute type. If I keep things simple(I mean not using fancy stuff that contains harmful stuff like Bud Factor X from Advanced Nutrients, which has some pesticide in it) and feed light plants turn out great for most of the times. I have to mention that synthetic nutes yield more though. At least in my experience. The problem is I decided that I am not really happy with the genetics today.

For example White Widow from 2009 is not the same thing anymore. I tried Dutch seed companies including GHS as well as some others like Dinafem. Being one of the most popular strains out there I don't think seed companies are selling the same thing anymore. Finding a landrace or a good pheno is almost impossible for me. We have thousands of strains to choose now. I don't know which ones to choose and I don't know which ones to trust. They are in a competition and I believe they are mostly aiming high yielding seeds. My White Widow grow from 2011 was one of the best tasting smokes ever. Yielded 300 grams dried from a 90x90 grow tent in cm's. It was way too potent compared to the strains today. I used synthetic nutes and kept things simple. Same thing goes for my Exodus Cheese auto grow. They are labelling some strains over %25 THC but none of them matched the quality of my Widow or Cheese. I have never smoked a nug that has such intense flavour ever since.

I think going for new soil or swapping to non organic nutes won't make too much difference for this case. Either way you reconstruct your medium so I don't think you can go wrong.

Hey 420! Pretty bad looking today I'm afraid. The Phantom looks great but I'm sure that it's not for long. The other two not so good especially the Orange Sherbert. If I was to say not to worry and that this is just a minor blip on the radar would you believe me? Lol. Seriously though, I remain highly optimistic and as soon as some cash is available we'll sort this out. I'm aware that the clock is ticking but these babies can handle a hell of a lot of punishment before they keel over. Hopefully it won't be too much longer but we shall have to wait and see. Look at these....

fingers well crossed for you mate. absolute bummer but you will nail it without a doubt. We have every faith in you.

for me , i would be out with a shovel looking for the most fertile patch of my garden. A few inches down and you would even possibly get a few wrigglers too. If it had any dandilions growing on it , even better. All natural , all managed and prepared by our earth mother. Just my thought prof.
Have been prepping a compost heap for past 2 years with banana peels , dandilions, grass cuts, potato/veg peelings and waste, old coco/perlite/soil from previous grows, old roots from cropping, bone meal, egg shells, mussel shells , used tea bags and my aunty flo !!!. I hope to use it as a "no till" experiment with a clone from the next Barneys grow alongside its mother/doner grow.Beans arrive tomorrow and will kill me waiting for the Hulkberry to run now. so tempted to pop a couple and go for it BUT thats exactly the mistake i made with my last run with the Hulkberry and Critical beans. The seedling to veg time can be so long before they can be worked with while the others in rdwc would be motoring along. Hate being so indecisive , i think !!!

Have you tried a foliar feed? - it can get some nutes in quickly - add some calmag too

Foliar feeding won't solve anything because the problem would still be present in the rootzone but it is still a good idea to spray them until Professor buys the stuff. That would keep them a little bit more healthy. Kinda like hooking them up with a bag of serum :goodluck:

Personally, I don't like foliar feeding because I am not %100 sure if the stuff we use clogs the stomata or not. I've seen some products called atomizer fogger/sprayer and maybe using some top notch sprayers like that would feel safe...

Well I'm back from work and I've read through your posts and think that there may be a couple good ideas. I'm gonna give the foliar feed a go to see if it buys me some breathing time. I do have soil in my backyard which I'm going to go digging in shortly. I have no idea as to the quality of what we have but doing nothing certainly isn't working. I'll still be getting some new soil and nutes soon but for now I'm gonna see what nature does for us. I've only just got back from work and there I still a few things to sort out first so no pics yet but I did have a quick peek at them and I regret to announce that it has gotten worse. Before I use the new soil from the garden I'm going to ph test it and adjust accordingly. I'll give it a good once over for any obvious nasties and basically hope for the best. I'm still quite positive about fixing them and in a couple weeks time believe that this will all be a thing of the past. Thanks everyone for your input and opinions concerning this frustrating situation. Right, let's go get that shovel! Back soon with pics :)

careful where you dig , remember brookside ???? not to mention your ex landlord and landlady Fred and Rose !!!. Any signs of a hoof or saddle , stopp too. !!!!!

garden soil, well used and maintained had to be a gold standard after years in situ and with all that sunshine ,rain and mulching for decades. The micro life must be amazing.

lol didn't do brookside but I remember the Krypton Factor! I thought that finding a hoof would have been ok. If I find a jockey though it's game over. I'm just gonna have to use my initiative and look for an area that's been looked after. There's a lot of metal sticking out of the ground and old mattresses in hedges that have become part of the eco system. I didn't do it, it was from before my time

scruffy gardened fucker heehee. At a push i would also consider going out into local park for amazing fertile council soil ( we pay for !) used for their "in bloom " con. Traffic islands have great soil too if planted on. Not taking the piss either mate. dog walk , bag full , happy days!!

Apparently the soil here is just heavy mud with clay in it. I'm gonna have to mix it up with something otherwise I'm gonna suffocate the roots. I've got the bag of perlite that Shed said to bag up and leave in the sun. We actually had some sun over the last few days so I took the opportunity to do that. I'll need to mix something else with it though so I was wondering wether to use some of the old spent soil to help fluff it up a little bit. I've got plenty of that lying about

There's a Farm next door GG but the farmers a bit shoot. Likes a drink so I'll stay out of his way lol

Here's what they look like today. They're definitely still growing but it's noticeably slower. Leaf damage is still getting worse and they don't look good. It's nothing that can't be fixed in a jiffy once the solution is found though....

Phantom OG still looks good and I'm checking her constantly for signs of trouble. At the moment she's a pale green but other than that there's not much to say that she's suffering. I still have money on her turning south soon though....
