Barneys Farm Sponsors Grow: Gorilla Zkittles, Orange Sherbert Plus Many More

The two that stick out in my mind were the ones with lettering.
I  YU.....I assume this person is fond of an Asian person.
HOES.......and this must have been a gardener.

Hey 420! Well today's update isn't massively exciting but niether is it depressing. With a bit of luck and of course the collective knowledge of you fine folks hopefully we'll see some positive change over the next few days. The Phantom has gotten a bit worse but I'm expecting that. She won't start to look good again until everything has settled down in the root zone and the plant is absorbing the correct nutrients again. Those leaves will look bad until they're removed I'm afraid but not to worry as hundreds more will take their place...hopefully. Here we are today....

The Phantom OG has looked better but I know that she'll recover with a bang soon....

The Gorilla Zkittles is least effected and continues to grow despite her unfavourable conditions....
ORG_DSC08479.JPG

The Orange Sherbert has a bit more damage but you can see that she really wants to grow. She's going sideways at the moment....

I'm meant to have some Geopots turning up at some point. I'd really like to get them transplanted into their final homes in the next week or so to give them more space. It won't be long before the flowering tent is available and I can move the GZ and OS into it to begin training. Let's,focus on getting them healthy first though. Happy growing everyone

all looking managed now prof. well done before any issues ruined it all. Have my Barneys ready at the checkout for payment tomorrow once get cash into the bank that is. have gonenwith the gz and Os with cookies kush and red diesel as my freebies. tempting to try to get a coupke going with the next run as i am holding off now till those bastards have completed the work on the boiler next week. Having to hold off till they finish ( temp home for ladies thats is crap !) and then rebuild my room. might give me time to germ a couple to go alongside the Hulkberry run ??. tempted to throw 2 coco fabric pots alongside for them to live in. need a Barneys Farm in the room for the others to aspire to !!.

@InTheShed or anyone really, what would the difference/benefit of the slurry test compared to measuring runoff? I’m just wondering if that’s something I should look into with my problem children.

Go GG! Good to see another Orange Sherbert growing. I think I've managed to save the trio. I was going to post pics of them yesterday but decided not to as they looked the same as the day before. This morning when I checked on them before work they looked considerably better. Good luck with the home invasion. I survived mine the other week and the police never turned up after accidentally ringing the emergency services lol

from what I can tell when you measure the run off you are measuring what is being pushed through whereas when you perform the slurry test it's measuring the the contents of the soil itself. Maybe I'm wrong as I'm only guessing. Shed'll be here shortly to set me right I'm sure lol

holy poop mate , grassing yourself up is not good. lol.
rebuidling design of room now so positive from a negative really.
Ordering later tonight. feel like a kid at christmas on the gz and OS. both impressive strains although the blue gelato also has my eye. ???

If I know Shed, this is what he would have to say...
I don't think that runoff gives you a true picture of the soil's pH. Slurry testing is the way to check the pH of your soil:
The Ultimate Guide to Testing Soil pH
I think the slurry test is what gives you the exact pH of your soil.
It could be drifting lower as well. Without a slurry test and distilled water you won't know. The pH of runoff doesn't tell you what's happening in the soil.
I just meant that if you think you're having pH issues in your leaves, what's important is slurry testing the soil and not checking the pH of the runoff.

Thanks MrS!

@doubleH You may have noticed that all of MrS' quotes of mine are soil related, and I'm here to say that coco is considered hydro so a slurry test doesn't apply to you.

I have also read on more than one occasion that checking the pH of runoff from coco is completely unnecessary and just liable to drive you crazy. Make sure your pH is correct going in (5.6-6.0 I believe) and water to runoff.

Indeed it is not lol. I'd like to have a go at doing a stealth diy grow area one day. I've been looking at converting a large chest freezer into a sea of green chamber
I know what you mean about being a kid at Christmas. I'm going to wait until 420 day before I do my next order. Hopefully my daughter will be born by then so I can use her birth as an excuse to treat myself to some more beans. It's also the best time for strain deals and freebie seeds on most of the online shops
I've got the Blue Gelato and the Strawberry Lemonade next inline for germination. It won't be long before they meet the dirt

Thanks Shed and @MrSauga, I’ll disregard the slurry then. I’ll take my follow up question to my thread Shed. Don’t want to totally hijack Prof’s Barney’s thread! :thanks:

We respect everyone here even pirates! Hijack-away HH
Lol, thanks Prof. I took it over to my thread, it was just some stoned, over-analysis , ramblings anyway. ;)

Hey 420! Update time. Personally I think things are looking up. There's still some damage occurring to the leaves but overall they look like they're on the mend. I Think that it'll take a little while before they're growing strong again but it seems like we are heading in the right direction now. The Gorilla Zkittles and Orange Sherbert will need a watering tomorrow so I'll check the soil again to make sure there has been no ph changes when I do that. Today is day 42 from seed for both of these and they don't look bad. Had they not been stunted by my attempts at trying something new then I think that they could have been quite a bit bigger. Here we are today....
ORG_DSC08522.JPG

I put them on individual trays to space them apart more. Here's the Gorilla Zkittles....

It's a similar story with the Orange Sherbert. She's growing but there is still damage on some leaves....

ORG_DSC08535.JPG

I think they're improving. I'll keep an eye on them. Next up I'll show you what I've done with the Phantom OG....

With this one I've given her the same treatment I gave the other two and that is an early haircut. Because she was stunted by my actions the growth under those large leaves has suffered a little bit. Her lower leaves were barely hanging on so I plucked them....

She still had a lot of shade under there though so I thought I'd just take the rest and be done with it....
