Barney’s Farm With The Mars Hydro

I'm happy you're feeling better. I got a freebie Blueberry, too and loved it so much that I ordered 6 Blueberry Autos and 6 Blueberry Fems. I got the autos because my grow had already started and I have no room for Blueberry photos but I figured I could shove an auto in anywhere it fits as it isn't dependent on the light schedule. I currently have 2 Blueberry autos on the go.

It'll be 9 soon. Even that seems like lots of plants. Barney's asked me to see how well they germinated. I couldn't not plant what grew tails.
----

Last night I transplanted the 1 starter pot Cheesecake into the 2 gal bag to replace the runt. I prepped my hole, put down a little mycorrhizal fungi and tipped the starter into my hand, It was full of roots but a little too dry. As I turned my hand over to place the contents in the hole, everything crumbled so I just let it fall in the hole. Today the sprout looks good. This wasn't how I wanted my 1st auto uppotting to go. I'll give the other two in the small starter pots a few more days before discarding them. They do not appear to be any better or further developed than the others. There are still the 3 in the .5 gal containers if needed.
I removed the humidifier and gave more water than I have been, they should start drinking it up now. For me, I try and give plenty of water without letting it accumulate at the bottom of the grow bags. Its a balancing act for a bit. I usually let the plants get too water heavy early on. This run I want to avoid that heaviness if I can. Everything has 3 fingers now and the main stalks have firmed up. Some of the first single blades are getting very long.
I have said in the past, this is my favorite part of a grow for different parts of the grow, actually, I like it all. I cant wait to see how these develop. Happy grows :peace:

Mate, I've done the exact same thing when transplanting some White Widow autos. I ripped most of the roots and the 2 plants turned into little runts. After that I always make sure to have wet soil when transplanting. If any of your many plants are to be binned, I vote for those. Mine were midgets at harvest time.

It was a surprise when it happened, like oh shit. I thought the consistency was good. The cheesecake that it happened to seems to be recovered, its hard to say. I have another in a .5 gallon I will probably replace it with in a couple days. I have been comparing the two for a few days. Its a hard decision, the stem is bigger on the transplanted one, but the color is better on the .5 gal.

Glad you're feeling improved. The little ladies are motoring along and the outdoors view is magical!
Today is an even better day pain wise. The ladies have done well so far. I like the early morning light, It snowed again all night.

:thanks: HashGirl. I'm starting to do better every day.
A couple grows ago, I grew a tent of freebies, the blueberry and the banger were really big surprises. The blueberry is such a good high. I'll check out your autos now. I grew autos for my 1st indoor. The lighting needs and and not needing to worry about a dark cycle make autos a good choice for many. Thanks for looking in.

I was going to replace the Cheesecake in the bag with the one in the .5 Gal. I couldn't decide if I should. I know stress is bad for autos, especially early on.

In some ways the one in the bag looks better, but I know it was stressed. Attached is a pic of each. Any opinions which to keep? I want to switch if that what I do as soon as the .5 g plastic pot is next dry enough.

For today, I decided to feed and treat for the gnats. I watered slowly and gave 9 liters of water to all. It was enough to fully wet the soil. There was no real runoff. I use tablets that are dissolved in water for gnats, its BT. I dissolved 4 tabs in a coffee cup of hot water to be mixed with the feed water. As I was carrying the cup to my office, I mistakenly took a sip thinking it was my coffee. :Rasta: I immediately spit it back. Nasty stuff.

The plant in the bag sure looks great. If possible I would wait a while longer before deciding which to bin. Maybe it's perfectly fine...

I'm treating my Bushmans with some Neem today against gnats. Air pots and coco is a supreme combination for the little bastards. I was looking for BT a couple of years ago, but I was never able to find any. I only found it on American sites. Did you get your BT here in Europe?

I did. For the gnats they are called Solbac Tabs. I have seen it as a pasty liquid as well. For other BT applications, caterpillars etc. I use Delfin. Both made by the same Co. They are both labeled as being Bio. It will come up if searched.

I'm sorry mate. I haven't had much time to be very active here on the forum lately. Do you have pains? What kind?
I've been treating my chronic headaches with my weed for some time. I used to be full of opioids at all times, but now I'm full of THC instead - way better! The strongest pills I touch now are an occasional Ibuprofen when it's extra bad. I've made some potent infused oils that I use when it gets really bad, both THC and CBD oils. I find it more efficient when mixing CBD and THC. For my next grow I have a Black Jack CBD from Sweet Seeds lined up. It was the strongest CBD plant I found that also has THC, it has 17-18% of each.
Lately I've bee trying to treat pains from a disk hernia in my back with my weed. It doesn't really work to remove the pain, it more helps with taking my mind off it.
I hope you get better soon.

I've had back issues for awhile, even a couple lower back surgeries. This is new with my neck/shoulder. I never had c spine issues before.

If you, or anyone can direct me to a good recipe for tinctures or oils I would appreciate it. I never tried any of the CBD rich strains. I was looking at a few 50% / 50% strains with equal cbd/thc awhile back. Its time I start looking for some of the other benefits from cannabis.

It sounds like you've got something similar to me. My disk hernia sits between the shoulder blades. Horrific pains shoots out to my shoulder and further down my arm with tingles in my fingers. Another beam of pain radiates up to the neck. When I cough, which I do a lot due to smoking joints all day, it feels like the thunder strikes my shoulder.

This is how I make my infused coconut oil. It can be eaten and also rubbed onto the skin. It is quite potent and my every day smoking friend had 2 teaspoons of it before he went to a venue of some kind. He couldn't stand up and has never been that stoned in his life. I have made it from CBD buds and normal buds in few batches. It is great!
Be careful with the temperatures. I've done a fair bit of research and these temperatures work for optimal effect. When researching I found most people over-decarboxylate. That should be avoided since over doing it starts the breakdown of the THC.

I decarb in the oven at 110 degrees C for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes at that temp the THC starts to degrade. If you're going to use the decarbed weed in something that'll be cooked at high temps afterwards, lessen the decarb time.
I handle the oven thermostat manually and keep the temp at between 109 - 111 C. To me it's worth spending half an hour sitting by the oven to get perfectly decarboxylated weed.

Best way for me has been to put the weed in plastic cooking oven bags. Like the ones you cook chickens in. I break the buds up after I have put it inside the bag and sealed it to minimise mess and sticky fingers. With the bags I do several strains at ones to save on work. I put a few bags in the oven, but they should be at the same height as the thermometer's probe for accuracy.

I then infuse the oil or butter with the decarbed weed in a double boiler at low temp for 24 hours. I keep the temp as high as possible but always below 80 degrees C. Decarboxylation starts at just above 80 degrees, so keeping it below 80 for the infusion is very important for maximum potency.
I add liquid lecithin, about 2 tablespoons to 400 grams of coconut oil during the infusion. For this amount of oil, about 50 grams of weed is about maximum that will fit in the pot. This will get seriously strong, but if even stronger is wanted I have repeated the infusion a second time. I.e. after soaking the first batch of weed for 24 hours in the oil, I strain and repeat for another 24 hours with a second load of weed in the same oil. Now, this is some potent stuff, though...

Good morning, we had fresh snow overnight. Its a crisp snowy morning. My neck and shoulder feel a bit better today, and I can lift my left arm away from my body a little bit. It'll be a movie day. After looking for something different in the goodie box, I decided it would be a Blueberry morning.. day, and evening. The Blueberry was a frrebie surprise. One I want to grow again. :Rasta:

The plants took to the topping and node removal well. Its day 12, we are past the seedling stage now. The .5 gal pots are dry after a full watering in two days. By next weekend it should be down to the final 9 or maybe 10. I'm anxious to water enough to be able to treat the soil for the gnats.
The gnats are a bummer but can happen anytime. I see people often question what is the best, or better bagged soil. I always have used good quality garden soil from the nursery with good results. I do amend with pearlite and a few other things. Why reinvent the wheel?

Wishing all a great Sunday. Happy grows :peace:

I highly recommend blue gelato 41 from Barney's! If you like the blueberry fruity taste but want something stronger :) really one of my fave smokes. Also your girls are looking good! :)
I might add; I've just eaten some shrooms and everything I might write later on today should be discarded....
Hehe I had some in September/October for the British season :) was amazing I'd never tried them before (I'm 33) one of the best experiences I've had. I love how it's all over and done with in 4 hours. I had 2.5 gram first time then 3 the next. Was amazing the visuals are such a small part of it. I've had acid when I was 20 ISH and it's completely different. There's no comedown and it's not an all night ordeal. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a new experience. I was scared off them for years due to being told about only the bad side. ( I didn't see any downsides thankfully)

I'd like to know something when your done Mr nickel. Both times when I finished I seemed to lose muscle memory but only for a small time after. Things that I've used for years felt weird in my hands.it wasn't scary or anything just funny. I picked up my hair brush and was sure it wasnt mine as it didn't seem to fit my hand haha also when I tried to tie my hair up i almost couldn't work it out lol. This happened both times and after it was basically over.

I also had a mini hot flush at the point where the visuals where almost gone both times. I'm assuming my body just leveling out?

Anyway I hope you have an awesome trip!

@stinker, I'm amazed at the sight of all those seedlings growing at roughly the same rate! No small accomplishment, IMO.

I'm never able to achieve such a thing. When I bury seeds they arise when they damn well please (but hardly ever together) and they grow at the rate they choose (but hardly ever the same rate)!

I believe the only way I could achieve the kind of symmetry you've achieved is to grow one plant at a time. :laughtwo:

Sounds like you had a great trip! I tried 1 gram on Christmas Day and got nothing so I tried 2 grams on New Year's Day and still got nothing. I have 3 grams left and am planning on taking them all at once.

I think it depends on which species of mushroom you have. Apparently the native original "magic mushrooms" we have in the UK are some of the most potent. I've not done much research but was told they are top of the list. I had so much fun. Lots of visuals and generally lighter mood for around 4 week afterwards. Wish I had more :(

:Namaste:, GDB. Its the genetics. No really, all pots and the soil were prepped the same, at the same time. The seeds were strong, all germed and grew tails uniformly.

The plants look the same, but it is clear to me that those started in the larger bags are further along. The two that were transplanted Up look good, but are clearly not thriving like the others.

Its always one at a time, usually at the same time. Don't sell yourself short. You grow beautiful potent bud. :)

I must admit that they all seem to be showing strong growth and are very uniform. It is interesting your observation that those started in larger bags are further along.

I again didn't have a good time up-potting mine this grow and next time I will consider just putting the seeds straight into final pots with just a little 'lite' soil at the top.

Genetics. I may have overlooked that.

You did bury all seeds from the same source and probably got all the beans from the same batch.

I was amazed when @Emilya did the same during the GSC comparative grow -- planted a ton of seeds (from the same supplier) and they all came up together and grew up together like they were controlled by "Skynet" or some such thing.

No matter, I'm still impressed! :Rasta:
