Barney’s Farm With The Mars Hydro

Hope all goes well at the doctor, those buds look glorious. And as always, that picture perfect setting

Do you have enough? Maybe you should drop one more?
I don't know. The first will get chopped/pulled soon, i'm looking for the best 9.
l could follow your lead and start another tent. ;) Your tents and girls look fabulous.:thumb:

I couldn't put it off any longer and pulled the stunted Strawberry Cheesecake from the 2 gal bag and will replace with a better SC example from the starter pots tonight. The starter pot needs to dry a bit more before transplanting. She should take off after the uppotting, roots are showing well for day 7.

Good morning! We are off, overnight the remaining 3 Popped. Today is day #1.

There is still some membrane stuck on two sprouts, one from yesterdays reveal and the other from what popped overnight. A few have had stuck membranes so far, I wet the membrane a few times a day and it eventually peels away. The first to pop had a stuck, barely open helmet. It finally cracked & came off overnight, its okay now. I have had them not open and kill or damage the seedling before.

I dropped the light to 27” and am keeping the light intensity at 65% for now. Will keep an eye on stretch and adjust the light height as needed.

My original “Plan” was to grow 9, 3 of each. As I had the seeds I germinated 5 of each and all cracked. When potting I couldn’t toss any. All 15 sprouted :high-five:. I’m sort of hoping the best, or 1 of the best is in a smaller container so I can see how autos do when uppotted? I will probably try and squeeze in a 10th if I can, I will def be uppotting something..

These autos are some of the newer from @Barney's Farm , and Barney’s indicate it takes 65/70 days from seed to harvest. I expect these will be fast, pretty and potent. I'm anxious to see.
I was lucky to win the @Mars Hydro, FC-3000 in a drawing. It impressed me so much with the last run that I am glad to be using a new FC-4800 for this run in my new, larger 1M x 1M tent.
I expect great results. :peace:

Hahaha, I love it! It reminds me about when I through various logic, all concluded during the influence of plenty of herbs, reasoned my way into growing 17 autos. Enjoy it, having lots of plants is great fun :goof:

It'll be 9 soon. Even that seems like lots of plants. Barney's asked me to see how well they germinated. I couldn't not plant what grew tails.
----

Last night I transplanted the 1 starter pot Cheesecake into the 2 gal bag to replace the runt. I prepped my hole, put down a little mycorrhizal fungi and tipped the starter into my hand, It was full of roots but a little too dry. As I turned my hand over to place the contents in the hole, everything crumbled so I just let it fall in the hole. Today the sprout looks good. This wasn't how I wanted my 1st auto uppotting to go. I'll give the other two in the small starter pots a few more days before discarding them. They do not appear to be any better or further developed than the others. There are still the 3 in the .5 gal containers if needed.
I removed the humidifier and gave more water than I have been, they should start drinking it up now. For me, I try and give plenty of water without letting it accumulate at the bottom of the grow bags. Its a balancing act for a bit. I usually let the plants get too water heavy early on. This run I want to avoid that heaviness if I can. Everything has 3 fingers now and the main stalks have firmed up. Some of the first single blades are getting very long.
I have said in the past, this is my favorite part of a grow for different parts of the grow, actually, I like it all. I cant wait to see how these develop. Happy grows :peace:

We are preparing, may i ask about you to explain?

For we are new here and do not want to ruin our starts.

ps. Plust its 3am and I am too lazy to look it up.:passitleft:
Hi Slipdog,
I have been adding a little Mycorrhiza to the bottom of each hole I uppot to. My understanding is it is beneficial to the roots and assists with nutrient uptake. Starts do fine in my experience without it.
Someone will probably chime in with more info. Links arent allowed but if googled there is alot of info.
Mycorrhizas are beneficial fungi growing in association with plant roots, and exist by taking sugars from plants 'in exchange' for moisture and nutrients gathered from the soil by the fungal strands. ... Phosphorus is often in very short supply in natural soils.

I turned my back on the tent and my cat went in and dug out a Runtz. There were still a few roots attached to the soil. I did my best to quickly replant. Will see how it looks tomorrow.. If needed I'll replace with the one in a starter pot.

Canada must be lonely half the country is here and I know why.

It's feeling like minus 30c right now with 3 feet of snow.
I would love to be in the sun with you.
I guess that's why half our country lives there in the winter.
Hope your lady recovers.

Stay safe
