Yeah, I WANTED to run the Double Grape, but the seeds wouldnt cooperate - 10 of em no good after three years. But I did get 1 of 4 Sour Livers to pop and break ground … hoping a second one will too; the other 2 were no bueno :confused:

I said it better not be male! (Which led then to a discussion of male vs female, why is one desired over the other, how you can tell, and how you “make” them females.)

At least she’s hip enough to understand it and appreciate for the fact that its a plant!

I have 1 Double Grape and she is my problem child. 3 other Mephisto strains going too. And they all are looking nice and healthy so far. It seems they go from beautiful to ugly in a day sometimes…But these seeds were just purchased. I had 2 Strawberry Nuggets that were duds this time out… I’m glad you got your Livers going!

My Mephisto Hubbabubbasmelloscope was a rough run for a first grow - and to make matters worse she was a calmag PIG … normal dosage wasnt enough for her .. NO SIR! She needed an extra 50%!

For me its more of a personal thing I guess; I like clean and tidy … and to me algae says its not *lol*

First true leaves clearly evident this morning!

So far, so good! Heading into the tent now to clean that hydroton, hook up my new power cords and my new @Mars Hydro SP600’s, and generally get my crap in order (I’ve been meaning to do a lot of this for DAYS, but time has just been getting away from me).
 
  • New extension cords with built-in timers have been installed
  • My two beautiful @Mars Hydro TS600 lights are up! They're plugged into one timer extension cord set to 20/4 light schedule
  • The hydroton is soaking in the laundry sink in the 3ml/gallon of bleach and tap water solution
  • The buckets are now running a 3ml/gallon of bleach and tap water solution through the drip rings. (The drip rings will be on the other timer extension cord set to come on for 30 minutes every 6 hours once the buckets have the seedling(s) and have nute solution in them.)
  • Each drip ring has been connected to its own little air pump to allow the bubblers in each bucket as much air as possible from the big air pump
  • In line fan and carbon filter have been re-aligned to provide as much possible head space for those banging new lights
  • 6” fans have finally gotten hooked up (had to use some of that foam paper wrapped around the tent poles to keep them from sliding down)
  • Tent cam attached to tent pole now too so I can start taking some time lapses soon! (I’ll start that once the seedling goes into the bucket)
God what a morning (that was a total pain in the butt)!

But look at these AWESOME lights!

Wow! All my seeds came in; all autos:
  • Mimosa
  • Lemon Haze
  • Bruce Banner
  • Northern Lights
Decided since only one of the Sour Livers popped, I’m going to drop just one of the Lemon Mimosas - its soaking in 50/50 H202 and water now.

Also today, my GH Rapid Start Rooting Enhancer got here. Directions say 2 tsp/gallon. Can that be added to my 1/4 strength nute solution for seedlings? Also, can that be mixed with nutes on res change days? If so - any particular order it should go in (right now its water + CalMag + CNS17 Grow + Hydroguard and the +life). I am aiming for some strong healthy roots hoping they will produce strong healthy plants!

Still looking good; think I MAY have given her a bit too much liquid yesterday, so she didnt get a bedtime drink - and still looks sufficiently moist this morning so I’m going to hold off until later today (I do NOT want to kill her with kindness!). I have to go into the office today for a few hours, so I’ll check on her when I get home later.

Btw, since you will be in Baltimore, if you and the wife like steak you simply MUST check out a restaurant near the Inner Harbor called Fogo de Chao - not cheap, but its an all you can eat Brazillian steakhouse that is 420% amazing!

Ok now! We didn't get to that place. My nephew said he does go there for special occasions and the food is super good! We did make it to a place called Pappas, a rather large "hole in the wall" made famous for being an Oprah's favorite for crab cakes. I have to agree with her! A well made 8 oz crab cake entree is something decantantly special in my book! That alone was pretty much all we could eat! And homemade pies! I gotta go and walk it all off now.

Yup, I’ve heard Pappas rocks (havent been there myself). We get local seafood here on the Island whenever Hubby wants it (I dont care much for seafood) - and because its local businesses getting their catch from the local waterman, its always fresh and the food is top notch.
