Babygirl’s Sour Livers DWC Hydro Grow Journal, November 2021

2021-11-11 - Day 5

Looking good! Second set of true leaves are just staring to peek out!

Man I’ll live on the water 5 min away
But you can grow legally where you are right? It's a balance you know...my ocean for my weed.

Nope still in the shade where I’m at I don’t think we would ever be legal since it’s a strong gun state n also a lot of ppl come here to retire so big No no but I can get a card to buy at dispensary at a ridiculous price I’ll rather keep doin what I’m doin just with eyes behind my head at all times hoping one day I can be legit !!

Lucky lucky !!!! I would be in heaven !!!! Must be a killer view !!
It is … yard turns to beach … 300-yard pier (usually holding 2 jet skis and the crabbing boat) … sun rises from directly at the end of our pier during the summer … very peaceful for the soul!

Ok - need input from my hydro guys (and gals) @Rexer @Jack 420 @FelipeBlu and anyone else I may have missed!

I’ve decided that tomorrow morning the baby goes in the bucket.

:nervous-guy:

How long and often should I let the drip ring run? In preparation, I currently have the timer set to run for 30 minutes every 6 hours (and this drip ring DRIPS/gently spurts - it doesn't “flow”). Should I go with that, or back it down to every 8 hours for only 15 minutes or some other magical formulae? I am really worried about killing it, but I’m having a hard time gauging the moisture content of these rapid rooters.

Input most appreciated!

Also, planning on starting with just 1/4 strength nutes (or should I stick with just CalMag at this point?)

Hi Cjsbabygirl!

You could probably cut the 30 min drip time down. But 30 min might work just fine.
I would set it for every 4hrs for now. If your temp and environment is dialed in, you'll have plenty of time to Guage how she's reacting.
Rapid rooters are great, they don't hold moisture heavily (which is why I love them!), just make sure she's not drowning and I think that should work.
The other growers might have some better times (they both have more grows under their belts).

Our 'sickcare' system wouldn't have it as such I dont believe. Sad times

I’ll do every 3 to 4 hrs drip for 20 to 30 min will work n yea I would start with nutes 1/4 sounds right

the baby goes in the bucket.
Is this a hempy bucket? (lost track, I think lol)

If so, you only need to water every 2 or 3 days - that’s what the reservoir gets you.

Nope - DWC & hydroton ;)

The timer has 15 minute increments (its like those old round push-pin timers but its actually integrated INTO the power strip/surge protector), so I’m stuck with 15 or 30. In this one regard I preferred mechanical vs electronic so its one less thing to monitor or worry about).

So I’ll go with 15 mins every 4 hours to start with, I can always shorten the interval if it appears insufficient - but at least she won’t drown!
