Babygirl’s Sour Livers DWC Hydro Grow Journal, November 2021

I totally hear ya - I stand for 5 minutes and my back and feet are killing me; it sucks getting old
Relax my friend , do what you can when you can.
It's not worth ending up in agony from pushing too hard.
That's how I ended up like this.
Stay safe.
Bill

Agreed - there is such a thing as over doing it

Wow - Lemi is 7 days old and Bubbles is 2 days old but based on this pic, you would think it would be the reverse!

I wonder if Lemi and Bubbles might like a more humid environment a little bit better? 45% is pretty low for seedling. Btw - I have the same deal with CJS Apple Blossom and the Chocolope. CJS is already outpacing her started three days behind.

*sigh* I guess I have to hook up the little humidifier :( - just sux cuz its only one gallon and CONSTANTLY needs refilling, plus it is already pretty tight in the tent.

You don't HAVE to.......it sounds like you knew the Rh was low you were just being lazy and humidifier resistant?:rofl:

I was just trying to avoid it if I had to … but its in there now; and hooked up to the same timer as the lights (the RH goes up when lights go out, so this way the humidifier will go off with the lights). Maybe by doing it this way I can get a more even level for the humidity instead of 30% lights on and 60% lights off  Its already up to 52% now - not sure how much the dang fan will suck out (which has to be on or it gets too hot in there) but we’ll see

Guess I also better start distilling another gallon of water too!

Lemi IS showing still more root growth, just not plant growth.

Btw - my humidifier is the same way. If your refrigerator has a push button water dispenser in the door like mine does, that IS filtered water. It's as good as distilled and won't leave any white residue. I found that much easier since you're right, the damn thing needs filled all the time!!

Im on well water hon - and even though we have a whole home water filter AND filtered fridge water - there’s still enough TDS in the water that causes mineral build-up on my humidifier. I found that on when I took it out and gave it a thorough cleaning a couple weeks ago. The mineral build-up on the heating element was so bad it took EIGHT HOURS of soaking the thing in straight vinegar to get it cleared again. Oy vey!

And uh oh! I think I have ANOTHER baby that JD is gonna have to take! Its a Blueberry auto from 420

Oh, @Krissi1982 - when I mentioned in your thread I was concerned about how small Liv appeared and you asked how big she was, I pulled the strain info for her and here’s what it says:

Strain info from Mehisto says:
  • Genetic Heritage: 'The Livers' (cutting) x Sour Crack F4 Regular auto
  • Size - 45-65cm Height/Width 35-50cm
  • Structure - compact but bushy
  • Indica/Sativa - 80/20
  • Cycle Time - 60-70 days from sprout
  • Average Yield - 90-120g as a single plant
  • Cannabinoids - Estimated over 20% total cannabinoids total cannabinoids.
  • Aroma and flavour: A Sweet/Sour/Fruity/Skunky combination
  • She does respond nicely to some gentle LST if you wish to, but really her natural bushiness makes it uneccesary for the most part.
    • She absolutely benefits from some leaf tucking to expose those lateral branches she pushes out from early on, and encourage them to grow upwards and you'll be in for a treat of a mini-multicola'd gal.
    • It's also worth clearing out fluff on the internal and lower parts of the Sour Livers to ensure all energy gets diverted to the primo sites. A very small amount of work in those areas will result in the best possible results.
  • Medicinal qualities: Great for appetite stimulation, aches and pains, and insomnia.
So maybe short isn't a bad thing; once lights are back on around 4pm I’ll measure her height. Also, I’m seriously considering topping her (once she’s just big enough) and then going with LST from there on out (may need your help there @Jon !)
I think she is right on track BG. Never fear a grow, it hinders the grow, they feel you nervous. I think we go into grows with these preconceived notions on how the grow should be going and we have that mindset so early in the grow, that we nit pick and look for issues that sometimes aren't even there. She will come into her own as her genetics speak of her to. I know she will be good to you. I have faith

Don't fret the size. She is healthy and developing at her own rate. That's what I tell myself when I look at Goldie lol

I do agree you need to up that humidity by 15 degrees at least BG...stinks about the big humidifier and filling it all the time...the benefits outweigh those pain the ass things though, remember

You’re right Krissi - and I’m starting to take things more in stride … the humidifier now has it up to 54% in the tent, but that seems to be about how high it wants to go - not sure how else to increase it any further. The room the tent in needs to have a lower humidity level cuz hubby’s gun safe is in there and he doesnt want them all ruined (which I can understand because of how much $$$ he has in them).

And the humidity does go up a bit more at lights out, so again, maybe this bump during lights on will help the babies!

I think that will be fine...and you'll be fine. Another baby soon to be under your care BG...how many total do you want to try to germ this round? And what about the smoke? How did that happen??!!

Looks like I’ll be growing Liv and Lemi and JD will be getting Bubbles (the Bubbly Livers) and the Blueberry if it comes up (which I would assume will be today). I still am waiting to see if the last three pop and if they do, they may be relegates to houseplant status *lol*

No smoke yet - I’ll get there!

Bubbly livers....sounds like some kind of chronic disease...

Helluva house plant status

Tent temp:
74F
Tent RH: 55%

Liv - Day 16
Res Temp:
68F
PPM: 560
pH: 6.1 … adjusted back to 5.1
Water level: down slightly
Liv is doing VERY well; 4th set of leaves becoming more evident, looks like she might have gained a little in height since yesterday, and she’s got a fast growing set of roots developing!

Lemi - Day 7
Lemi seems to be hanging on - despite not getting taller or showing the first set of true leaves, she has more root growth than noted yesterday.

Bubbles - Day 2
This is one fast growing girl! Not only is she proudly displaying a beautiful first set of leaves, she has roots coming out of the bottom of her seedling cell!

Blueberry auto
This one may be another fast grower; this morning she was barely emerging and leas than 6 hours later she’s already curling out of the ground!
