B.I.D. 3.0 Video Grow - JDL600 - Coco - GLR - 400WMH - Tent

Re: B.I.D. 3.0 Video Grow - BPN - JDL600 - Coco - GLR - 400WMH - Multi-Strain Tent Pa

i have been reading alot on it.and since its only the hot water that smells bad it indicates a extreme levels of manganese but i imagine the sulfides could be up there too so far brewing teas has been easy. 24 hours is plenty long enough to have good foam so i think its ok for that the plan is to have an ro system soon

I really haven't read up on it...and I missed the part about only the hot water being the problem...I would guess that means there's some type of reaction with what's in the water and the sacrificial anode rod in the water heater. :thumb:

Hold a lighter to your running tap water, make sure you don't have natural gas in your water lines...Its happened to a bunch of peole where I live...But since its just on the hot side, its not likely...How old is your water heater? Gas/Electric?

Hey Big Irish Dude!! I really am liking the videos, they just seem to bring such a more real aspect of being there on your grow! Your plants are looking incredible!

I saw you were looking for suggestions to add to your soil...

for minerals you could add azomite, glacial rock powder, lava sand, greensand or other mined and powdered minereals...

also if you wanted to get that high brix energy going you could add the 6-5-3 of Calcium carbonate, soft rock phosphate, gypsum as well...

Looks like you got a already killer mix though, just figured I would suggest a few things :)
thanks ice! those kind of comments are what i journal for, well among the top reasons, high brix is where its at all the cool kids are doing the brix ! heres what has happened with the soil so far
1 2 yard bag earthgro soil high in peat its a fairly light mix
12 lbs worm gold with kelp and volcanic rock powders
5 gallons pearlite
alot of coco prob close to half the mix
2 cups epsoma garden lime (lots of ca and mg and a ph buffer )
about 1/2 cup water absorbing polymer crystals these expand 300%
then i brewed up a tea to inoculate the soil with
2 gallons water from moms,2 from my well
2 cups worm gold
1/2 cup unsulfered molasses
4 tsp bush master microbe brew
1 tsp of some other myco stuff by "top soil"
5 ml dark matter humate tea
5 ml bio-juice soil activator
10 ml bpn farmers pride organic nutes of each grow/bloom/micro
then stir vigorously, bubble/aerate with 4 litre per min pure o2 from my oxygen concentrator
i had foam within 3 hours but let it go 24hrs, by then it had a foamhead standing 4 inches above the top of the homer buket!! and had grown cloudy with massive microbe reproduction
thriving and throwing protein and saying we are ready!!
so i dumped about 3 gallons in my soil mix stirred and left to cook till next week when i get the new air bag pots whatever they are called,
and thats where im at with the soil at some point i will start getting the rock powders!:thumb:

Yeah BID, go High Brix! Icemud has the rock powder tips for ya~! You're already doing everything else!

My plants drink less EVERY TIME I defoliate. Whether in veg or flower. I think less leaves = less transpiration. So they also (and I saw your comment on the video suggesting it) are temporarily stunted when defoliated too, so that could be why you might not "see" any wow factor...

my 2 cents/
:surf:
this morning they were a bit wilted i think they are back to sucking up the water again, cuz they are defo using more water again, and today i noticed some good bud building so they are past stress now, seeing a lil' wow factor now should be noticeable by next video:high-five:

How dare you call my boxes of junk "junk"...lol

Great Video brother!!! I'm subbed for sure. :thumb:
but i mean in the nicest possible way of course lol welcome aboard cisco bro!!!:welcome:

yeah its some strange stuff! bu for plants i will keep using it, i do cut it with ro and mom water when i can and for babies clones/seedlings stressed or sick plants, got fingers crossed for speedy ro system installed by landlord!:thumb::thumb:

awesome welcome aboard:high-five:

quix- its not that, all the places in my giant neighbor hood have this problem unless the well was drilled deeper, i have lived in 2 different houses on the same well here so its actually a sorta knownn problem to the ppl that live around here, but thanks i'll try it just fer shitz:thumb:

so i went to the care center today for a ultra sound scan on my leg,,,they found a blod clot, my second DVT now, i was admitted to the hospital poked full of holes, and am now home with a huge bag of pre filled self injectors of lovanox to stab myself with every 12 hours, for a month, im pretty bummed, hell even depressed ,i had hoped i would never have to do this again but the fickle finger of fate has f*cked me again ,oh i forgot the weekly blood draws forever,

(thats a biggy) i may have found 1 of my strains! im shooting for 3-4 to avoid strain tolerance, so if your looking for a daytime try blue cheese im loving it:thumb:

Awesome! Glad you found a keeper to offset the clot/poking/smashing kittens news...
You should get all the rock powders icemud recommended and mix them all in to the soil IIRC from vapedogg, you use 2/3 cup of the 6/5/3 and 1/3 cup of Azomite, to a cubic ft of soil.. vape? I remember afterwards thinking I should have gotten more azomite/trace minerals...

Re: B.I.D. 3.0 Video Grow - BPN - JDL600 - Coco - GLR - 400WMH - Multi-Strain Tent Pa

Yeah, I usually say, "That site that shares its name with a rainforest, and river in South America," the first time I give that hint to someone that hasn't heard that hint from me before. After that, it's simply, "The Rainforest."

Re: B.I.D. 3.0 Video Grow - BPN - JDL600 - Coco - GLR - 400WMH - Multi-Strain Tent Pa

Hey BID!! Very sorry to hear about your recent hospital visit and diagnosis, but like you said, its not the morgue! I hope the MMJ helps take the pain away for ya and I wish you as easy of a recovery that you can :)

I noticed you used the same worm casings I did, with added kelp and volcanic rock....so far I am really happy with that brand, with the added volcanic rock you probably already have some good minerals in the soil :) very nice mixture and nutrient regiment you have going on :) Very similar to what I am using in a lot of ways...

Surfbuddys recommendation is right with the 6-5-3... This can be topdressed and worked into the soil with a fork or spoon. As far as rock powders, the azamite I believe has the highest CEC value, which is very good so if its available, I would probably go with that... greensand is another one that can be uses, theres another called zeolite, or lava sand, or glacial rock powder... I would say any of them would be fine, but the azamite or zeolite would probably be the best...

Do you plan on picking up a refractometer to test your ladies.. :)

Re: B.I.D. 3.0 Video Grow - BPN - JDL600 - Coco - GLR - 400WMH - Multi-Strain Tent Pa

um whats a refractothingamajig? lol im gonna start looking around for rock powders locally then move to amaz#n for what i cant find, as soon as i have some cash over bills, didn't happen this month so far, im considering selling some stuff on fleebay, so we will see, i cant even give away clones much less get a donation for my overhead, i had hopes of helping other patients get started but im not any good at networking, so now im gonna have to compost some perfectly good clones to keep within my limits! sheesh! all that work ..kerflush!

Yup! That's the recipe I followed...one thing that jumped out at me though is the Espoma garden lime...It's dolomitic, which means it's probably going to cause problems with the ratios. It did for me anyway. One of the big rules when it comes to high Brix/mineralized soil, is that dolomite is BAD!

BID...for your soil mix, is 2 yards correct, or did you mean 2 CF? That would me one hell of a bag! I think the smaller landscaper's dump trucks only cary about 3 yards.

Azomite is ALWAYS a good thing to add...it has what plants crave! :)

Re: B.I.D. 3.0 Video Grow - BPN - JDL600 - Coco - GLR - 400WMH - Multi-Strain Tent Pa

vape! lol yeah they are big but not that big sorry for the typo i have been heavily medicated lately and prone to errors, i dont add much of the garden lime , its been good to me so far fixing the problems i have had with coco/calcium, this upcoming round im shooting for "organic" and working my way towards high brix, i am relegated to what supplies i have on hand for the most part, end of the week i may be able to get a little bit of stuff azomite maybe,, im planning on using the bpn organic line and microbe teas it worked really well before and i expect it will continue to impress, thanks for catching my slip, i am following your journal and will do a high brix journal one day soon i hope, like i said before i just need to source the items and find the $ to afford it, but dont fear bid will conquer !!! god im such a dork! ok

so i have 4 vids going up very soon,,i did a before and after on the vegging mommas:thumb:

Re: B.I.D. 3.0 Video Grow - BPN - JDL600 - Coco - GLR - 400WMH - Multi-Strain Tent Pa

Really liking the videos Big Irish Dude!!! You asked about the refractometer... I added you as a friend on U tube and I made a video called "how to test your brix" or something like that and it will show what a refractometer is and how were using them to test our plants. There like 40$ at different online vendors and test the sugar levels of your plants...

I like how you have the perpetual grow going on...keep up the good work and the videos! :thumb:
