I’ve had a shocker with germination. I’m only sure of 10-15 think I’ll maybe get 12 but I’ve just dropped 3 more OGK to be sure.

1/3 Blackberry fo sure

Never had such an awful success rate ex 25 GSC I killed.

The only difference was the extra 40-45 minutes soaking.

Ho hum. These are the last suitable seeds I have on hand so that’s it on the popping front for me. What I get is what I get!

Would it be too much trouble to ask you to keep a brief table of info? Like strain name, individual identifier, age, height, just the basics? I'd like to be able to get a realistic sense of what I'm looking at. If that's possible with that number of plants. I mean a height guestimate is fine, just so I have a sense of proportion. Are you up for that?

No trouble at all @Carmen Ray! I’m working on getting off the ground and having my share of challenges already between seeds not popping or coming up with coats still on and such. I also have a ton of stuff going in with family in real life. So yes, on my list are labels for the pots so in the pictures one can see what’s what, and then also determining how I’m going to post. But however I do it, it will definitely incorporate the things you said. Thanks!

Yeah and my seeds better start cooperating or I’m going to have fewer plants than planned. My goddamn Watermelon Wedding Cake seeds were like a year and a half old, and they are giving me a hard time. I have a Bruce Banner, Trizkit, Apple Fritter, and Stardawg up so far, waiting on the three Gorilla Cookies to come up, and I have two or three organic pots to drop seeds into yet. More of a PITA than usual. Of course. I also am trimming the endless Cherry Pie haul, also taking forever and still drying thankfully. Big buds take a while, longer than I thought. But I have 2/3 of it finish trimmed. Anyway, by the 12th I’ll know what’s what, just may not post much before then. Too much crap going on. Real life blows. I much prefer Growland.

Oh jeez, well, at least I’m not the only one. Lots of old seeds for me. I have barely enough to get nine keepers but should be okay.

I think I’m at 12 now which was the real target. A BBMR in the maybe is fine. The other one is dead dead. Squeezed it, the tail popped out and promptly amputated it with the tweezers

One of the OGK has come good. The other I’m pretty sure & Co did what I did to the BBMR

The Bubba Kush all but one green and 4 leafed. The tiddler I think might make it.

But yeah standard 85 minutes of the three spares. 12-14 is what I’m after.

But as we speak, this is what’s in the dirt, with half of them up, and several seeds in paper towels to replace depending on how they pop. Already have a one cotyledon sprout which may have to go, plus I have a Pink Runtz in towels I really want to see. But at the moment, we have this:

I made the decision to bank on the Gorilla Cookies. Supposedly yields in the Watermelon Wedding Cake league. We will see I guess. They were the three fastest poppers though. Also the most recently acquired. Three days since o got them they hit water. Heh. Hope I’m right, it’s 1/3 of the plants. 2 chem, different nutes, 1 soil/organic.

Damn @NickHardy, I guess it figures, but I’m having a helluva time getting this damn grow off the ground. Why can’t everything just be easy and effortless all the time? Jeesh. Too many old seeds I guess. Some of these are two years old. I have no idea if that matters. But they were well stored in one of the black jars, so idk. F-ers.

Seeds last decades if stored properly. I keep mine in the fridge in a glass jar with a silica pouch/pack.

That’s what I thought!!! I know they were stored properly, I keep them in Infinity jars. So idk. I didn’t scuff them or anything, maybe that would have helped. Whatever. I’m almost there.

I’m seriously telling you I’ve figured it out.

An update on mine - I popped 3 more OG Kush from Seedstockers. 48 hours later, 1 has popped a tail. The other exploded and the third is inanimate. Like nada. I popped and having 12/12 of these on November 14th. Bar an extra 30 minutes soaking the first batch been treated identically. Fresh sealed packets each time. What’s changed?

Its obvious. Some sort of witchcraft, wizardry or other curse making from the sidelines. I have no suspicions about the referee but there are others amongst us. Look not going to say too much. I have no wish they escalate to full Hex mode.

But yeah - I’m done with the popping. Deadline has passed. What’s there is my team. I think I’ll struggle over the line to 12 but extra solo cups ain’t happening.

I’ll tally up tomorrow when I know if this OGK 1/3 is gonna make it. Hope so.

Ok, this is a rare unrelated post but I just got so insanely lucky I had to share.

Look how damn close this hawk let me get to it before he flew away. And how still he kept. It was like he was posing for me. At first I thought it was the first ever daytime owl I’d seen here in four years. He was all puffed up, sitting in our tree out back. Had Molly with me too, and he still let me get that close. This picture is only like 4 or 5x zoomed. As soon as I got close enough I saw he was a gorgeous young hawk just puffed up against the wind. Fascinating.
