Autoflower Myth Busting Thread

Once the white hairs turn brown/red and recede the flowers will swell.... You want to wait until they have swollen with resin ;) be patient. We all harvest early in the beginning. I still do, but, having a few plants growing at once makes it easier. Good luck.

The finish (harvesting correctly, drying correctly, curing) is just as important as the start, lots of folks skip past that and ruin allot of hard work leading up to it.....

Hello Z3ro, I just got here but I do know you get as close as 2 inches away from CFL's with a descent fan pushing heat away. Regardless of what type your plant is. I am just learning about Auto's but my gut says to run lights on till the first signs of pre-flower. Then drop to~run 20/on~4/off, then as flowering sets in drop to 18/6. This is my plan and it is also my first time trying Auto's so I am getting my feet wet so-to-say. The plant itself controls its growth cycles and not your switching duration's.

87.8 F degrees = 31*C is a very high temp and I would vent it better as you say your lights are 24" from the tops?? "My lights are about two feet up from the plant" that is a venting issue, not about the height from bulbs...Peace.....

Not to bad "so far" for a first timer no? At least so far"fingers and toes crossed so tight" lmao... I no there's only I few tops there, but I promise there's a few more die get to come through those dam fans.. No flowers yet so hopefully we have some time.. Also thanks to everyone who's helped so far..

I'd say you have some time. I don't even check trichromes until all the white hairs have receded. Looks like you have a lot of white,, that's a sign she's still growing. Looks awesome, but I'd hang on. Have you looked at trichs? Yellowing of fans late in bloom is normal. I don't see to many from the pic,,, hang on...

I agree she looks to be still very busy budding away .i wudnt clasd that as fully formed bud yet;) still fatten up plenty good job;) as said above when all white hairs or alot become orange that a sign plant is coming to end her life this is the time to begin flush.but for now ur yellow leaves will want calmag and a heavy feed ur buds are sucking them dry;) great job so far best of luck;)

Auto Critical by Royal Queen seeds is so huge. 5 feet tall from the base of the trunk. The buds are giants, bigger than my forearms. If she denses up even decently, she is going to be 12oz or over.
