Autoflower Myth Busting Thread

Hello Z3ro, I just got here but I do know you get as close as 2 inches away from CFL's with a descent fan pushing heat away. Regardless of what type your plant is. I am just learning about Auto's but my gut says to run lights on till the first signs of pre-flower. Then drop to~run 20/on~4/off, then as flowering sets in drop to 18/6. This is my plan and it is also my first time trying Auto's so I am getting my feet wet so-to-say. The plant itself controls its growth cycles and not your switching duration's.

87.8 F degrees = 31*C is a very high temp and I would vent it better as you say your lights are 24" from the tops?? "My lights are about two feet up from the plant" that is a venting issue, not about the height from bulbs...Peace.....

Hi GoofyFoot! unless I start cutting holes in walls or doors I'm not getting any more ventilation. Yes 2 feet is very high, I'll raise my container up. Plants do stuff in the dark that they don't do in the light transpire/respire, O2/CO2, grow roots..so I'm a little leary of lowering the darkness time. Most of my growth seems to be overnight actually. I will look into it though... Right now I have to figure out if I should top or fim or just let it be... today may be the day!

Ok guys, second grow, running 6 autos and most of them are pretty droopy. I am pretty sure I am not overwatering, possibly underwatering, but I wanted to get you guys opinions. When I water I split about one gallon between the six of them and I am usually watering once a day or so. I lift the pots to try to get an idea. On to the pics, all advice welcome. Environment steady at 80 degrees during lights on, 70 degrees at night. Humidity about 50% during the day, up to 65% or so at night (only while they are young, about to run dehumidifier at night).

These were taken just after watering.

Blackjack isn't looking droopy like the others

Hmm you should consult him about that I have no idea about the hocus pocus stuff on the docs kits? Sorry my man he would be best..... I have seen several how to threads on his stuff

I will do that. I am not to the point where I am feeding anything except plain water, so it should work like regular coco. At least that was my line of thinking.

Are you in sevens? Water only? What lights they on? I have a bunch of autos on doc's and they're doing great.

So 1ml/L or 1.5 ? They look good but not totally dialed in yet... and there getting to the size where the roots are expanding... just by looking go ahead and up your base nutes by .5ml per liter and go to 2L of water AS NEEDED. Only water when pot is wet they'll drink it soon. You'll get some accelerated growth I promise

Water the pot slowly and evenly in a larger diameter than you were using

This plant up there turned into this massive quantity of buds down there.

Wet weight of this plant after a tight trim was a total of 1049.4 grams wet. It will be 260g dry = 9.35 ounces. That's one autoflowering plant.
