Is this the good soil it's made up to be?

Hey Blaise

I used some promix with time release nuturants (first-time growing) and I wouldn't recommend it. Same withe the shulzt fert. I used it once and it didn't work out for me, burned my girls and then I got paranoid on using it. Check out a nursery, if ya got one around they should have a better selection for some nutrients and maybe soil. I found some organic fish nuturants that I have been using at nursery.

I bought it before you said that I put 11 drops in a 1 leter pale of water how many times a month should I feed it this stuff?
My protégé used this stuff for his first grow. It's a never ending battle of having too much of nitrogen throughout flower phase and an uncontrollable pK values during seedling stage. I'd cut it to 1/4 strength and see how it goes. Only feed if it looks required, and allow pits to dry completely. It will be a struggle, but it's doable. If your using the soil below then you won't need to feed for a while. Cont.. Below

Again it's not the ideal media to use but it will work. It's going to be a little "hot"( full of nutes) so I'd suggest doing a major soaking before you plant anything in it. Do a nice big flushing and leach out as much nutrient from the medium as possible, then you'll be much better off than using it straight out of the bag. You could also cut it with more perlite and/or vermiculite or extra peatmoss. If this is all you can find, then it'll have to work. Again it's more work for you with possible issues with nutes, but it's totally doable. The biggest thing I think you need is a good 2 or 3 part nutrient. This way you can control NPK individually, instead of all at once.

The soil you chose should be Ph balanced around 6.2 it will be fine for now. It also says it has 3 months worth of slow release nutrients so I wouldn't worry about feeding yet. They should be fine for a few weeks and it may even be too much for them. I'd wait until you see how they take to the new soil... Do you have a journal? You'd be better served if all your info was in one spot... We'd get a clearer idea of what your doing, you'll get some buds... We'll make sure of it.

If you look in the upper right corner of the page youll see 3 dots, tap there then tap web veiw. Once there look at Snids signature and youll see a tutorial on starting a journal and how to put a link to your journal in your signature so others can find you. Hope this helps.

Hello all :ciao:

I just wanted to share this with all the new auto growers that are joining us. :bong:

This is my first grow and I wanted to share some before and after pics on Carrie...Caramelicious auto

I originally wanted to leave her untouched however it soon became clear that I wasn't going to get much yield if I didn't intervene..

20170113_225909.jpg

Although a pretty good looking plant, all inner growth was blocked....

So I started doing some lst on her along with a serious defol

20170113_230140.jpg

:bong::bong::bong:

Looking much better she still had the classic wedge tree shape..which is cool to look at but I felt she needed more.
So I continued lst and had to pull her top over and tie her down in order to open the inside up. Tying her down also put most of the bud sites pretty close in height. With a little more training I will have that canopy nice and flat and she will reward me nicely.

:bong::bong::slide::slide::slide: She really seamed to like her make over :thumb:

:bong::bong: The point I am trying to make is that auto's are very fast and to get max yield its best to start lst early...even if you don't top it...don't be afraid....just be gentle and treat her right and she will award you for it!!!

BC is right about starting early with training autos. Damned things grow like weeds and before ya know it they look like this.

It's def pretty but we want max yield and to do that we need to open them up to the light.

After topping, start bending her to your will. Open her up, tie her down, and let the light shine on her dark hidden places. These plants thrive on light and will reward you for your efforts.

Good question. It's something I'll soon need to know as well. My guess is that once preflowers show up it's time to switch the feeding schedule. And is it something that should be eased into, or just wham bam have some extra nutes?

Now is a great time....I started bloom nutes the moment I saw the first preflowers on mine around 14 days. Just be sure to start slow...maybe 1/4 to 1/2 strength for the first couple feedings to see how they respond.

Does anyone know if their is a point in a plants life that it will stop trying to repair itself if damaged?

I accidentally split the stem yesterday it was 4 weeks into flowering. It was a clean split and I pushed it back together as best I could an taped it together with electrical tape

anything that occurs in nature cannot be unnatural!
