trichs tell you to harvest...

all the rest is indirect evidence for ripeness

pt
Thats what I thought!!! I posted another thread and everyones telling me its not ready. Im being impatient etc.... I know how to use a scope to look at trichomes. Lol But never heard of pistils staying white. I recently read White strains like White Widow will keep white pistils. Thanks for the responses. Im confident to chop her now. :)

Im a bit confused. Im a newbie growing bagseeds. I only smoke dank bud and collected over the years. The seeds sat 3 years before planting. Im 71 day since first flower. This plants foxtailed. Ive harvested other plants that grew side by side w this one. Ive been flushing for 2 weeks. MY PISTILS ARE STAYING WHITE BUT MY TRICHOMES ARE 60% AMBER!!! Is this normal?

Are the rest of the trichomes clear or cloudy?

Looking for amber can be tricky because sometimes the clear trichomes will have am amber hue to them. If it's an opque amber or it's mostly amber and mostly cloudy then I'd say it's ready, but besides just the pistils, it doesn't look like those have swelled up as big as they could to me.

She will also develop new pistils all the way to harvest.

ok I got a question 2 of these Bubba Kush plants turned Hermi on me and pollenated themselves and the one female that didn't turn on me!! So the plants are full of useless seeds all though the weed itself looks great but there are so many seeds it's insane I counted like 120 seed pods on 1 plant!!!! SO SHOULD I CUT MY LOSSES AND CHOP THEM DOWN AND THROW THEM AWAY OR LET THEM GO TILL HARVEST? Live-Love-Learn

Hi ... I have a question regarding trimming. I've read so much and there are so many differing opinions. This is my first time growing inside (last year was my first time growing anything, outside). My plants are very short but also very dense. I have been tucking the fan leaves under and out of the way and it seems to be working wonderfully. But I wonder, should I be trimming the large fan leaves and/or should I trim any of the little branches underneath? They have been growing in 24/7 lights and I plan on switching to 12/12 at the end of April.

Thank you ... I am really enjoying working with them and I'm finding it very easy to bend and tuck the large leaves (I have 7 plants) ... I did snap one the other day and I left it. I found it today and it just fell off. I went trim crazy last year on my outdoor plant and find my fingers getting itchy to cut something but, I am curious to see the difference between cutting and low stress techniques. Thanks again for your reply :)

You can always turn those plants into hash. It's not a total waste.

hey all,

I flushed my plant yetserday ... for a 10l soil i used 30l of tapwater at 6.5 ph...
what really make sme nervous is the fact that even after 30l the runoff was still testing rather acidic or at least more acidic as what i was putting in .... having a better look at colorscales of testdrops id say i tested between 5-6 ...
Is there a reason why it keeps coming out acidic after so much water ??

Could be the medium

I am new to this. I actually was just looking for a hobby and Oregon legalized it so I went with it. Last year I grew one plant. No lights nothing just watered it. It didn't yield much maybe an ounce. So this year I have been reading up on things. I had popcorn buds last year and a lot of them cause bottom of the plant wasn't getting light. So this year I started training them to grow along the ground to let the whole plant access the light and grow bigger. What's ur thoughts on the LST of manipulating the plant for a better harvest?
