Because that's how ferts. build up in medium, and I've did it myself, when learning. And because over use of ferts. is probably the biggest offender. How much run off do you get, and what are you using for medium? Do you have a journal ?

Flush with ph'd water and skip the nutes, gotta get the nutes flushed out
