Ask Us Anything: Sharing Knowledge 420 Style

If this is in response to my post, it certainly wasn't directed at anyone using different methods of growing. That is what makes this thread so great. I have the highest respect for the people here that go out of their way to help people with all and any questions, no matter how trivial or complicated they may be.
I was just spouting in general about the odd holier than thou posters.
I apologize, I should be more tolerant as you folks are.
I'm guessing it was more aimed at those who draw a line in the sand and say one method is wrong and one is right, which we all know is crap because there is proof of success with a million different variables

It's everyone right to say Thier opinions here is what I've gathered I might not agree with someone but I won't be disrespectful. Especially if I've not tried something. Lol.

We're here for a good time guys and gals. Let's keep it positive and full of love in here.

I'm sorry to all those who have been offended. Let's help each other instead of ruin each other. There's enough of those kind out there on Thier own.

Third one looks a little rough. She have a hard time with her helmet?lol
They look good. What is your line of nutrients? WW are notorious picky eaters. So go easy on nutrient introduction. I would wait. Post another pick in a few days to a week. Or, you see anything you don't like.
Haha yup! The third one had the shell stuck on for a couple days so she's deformed. She's grown a lot though, so she might make it! I'll be using Fox farm soil trio.

I never look down on people. New grower or old grower for asking questions or not doing things MY way. In fact u get a lot of valuable information from the newbs. And I know theirs some ways I do things that could be done a different way or easier way but sometimes im just so comfortable doing it my way I dont want to try thiers so why in the world would I ever fault someone for doing the same thing. The thing that I do look down on people for is when someone tried to FORCE their beliefs or ways on people. Just because something feels rite or seems rite to you doesnt mean it has to for everyone. I respect everyones decisions when it comes to this even when I don't agree.

She will be your pride! Ok are you good now? Keep us posted.

Ok peoples....if anyone has experience with either of these lines I would value your intel. I have the sns lineup of nutes and emerald harvest line up that I have yet to use. What lineup is better?

I havent used sns nutes only their natural insecticide.

Good question I would wait at least a month if you are using FFOF. Wait a month and see how they look. You can pm if you need any more advice no problem
Couldn't agree more, i use ffof and i didn't give nutes until 4 weeks in, and even then got very slight nute burn (yellowing tips of leaves). There's tons of food in ffof to get your girls through at least the first month.

Unless you run your hid's on 220v

Unless I'm completely wrong, I'm pretty sure the cost is still the same. The utility sells us power by the watt, well by the kilowatt/hour which is just 1000 watts for 60 minutes. It is after our breaker panel that 120 vs 220 becomes a factor. 220 volt circuits (aka 225, 240) are safer to use because the amp draw on the circuit is halved due to the circuit drawing power from both power legs inside the panel. So a 1k ballast on a 120 volt circuit draws it's thousand watts in the form of 8.333 amps, whereas the same ballast on a 220 volt circuit draws its thousand watts in the form of 4.5454 amps. In my understanding, a 220 volt circuit is merely 2 different 120 volt circuits, that draw from opposing phased power sources and terminate at the same outlet, so essentially, circuit A draws 4.5454 THEN circuit B draws 4.5454.

The reason the math does align is because I divided the watts first by 120, then second by 220, but I'm pretty sure if one leg measures at 120 volts, the opposing leg in the breaker panel will also measure 120 volts, and combined will add up to 240 volts, but I used 220 as it's more often referred to. For the record, I'm not an electrician, but I am one that has researched and worked with AC~ for more than a few years.
