They should really jump when you move them into the flowering tent. thanks for clarifying the power question
I'm sure they will. My timing was out a bit though, as the veg tent will only be a month behind the flower tent, so the girls will be over halfway through flower when they move to their new digs.
While it is always better to have double the light for flower, I don't like to discourage people from trying to do a grow with just one light (for whatever reason). I was fortunate enough to divert some money towards the grow at this point, otherwise I would still be growing with one light. Not ideal, but certainly do-able. My first grow yielded 7.6 oz dry if I remember correctly, and I would guess that the last 2 weeks with extra light maybe added an oz?

thank you, i've been hearing multiple different things about that but i realized it says magnesium on it, if i have a calcium deficiency can i use epsom salts to help the plant use the calcium that's not being used in the medium?

There is no such thing as a calmag deficiency. Industry products have lead many astray because they read about calmag and assume they are intertwined somehow.

Calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg) are two different elements required for plant nutrition. One, Ca, is immobile. That means it cannot be translocated through plant tissues. The other, Mg, is highly mobile in plant tissues.

Changing the amount of Mg your plants are receiving will do absolutely nothing for a Ca deficiency.

How many watts minimum would you say that you need for a 4by4 to flower. ✌

Cannabis rarely has Ca deficiency, it's normally Mg. The Ca in "CalMag" is used mostly to buffer the Mg.

I can only answer in my preferred light type which is LED. Since we don't have ppfd info on most panels true watts are the only reference we can uniformly go by. Somewhere around 600 true watts would be the absolute LOWEST you could properly fill a full 4x4 with in MY opinion. I've seen it tried with less... but it's not ideal.

Thanks for the info, i have a mars ll 1200, it pulls right at 600 so i should be good hopefully, i will be getting some more lighting in the near future.✌

Minimum 30 true watts per square foot. I prefer 50-75 myself. Both my tents are 2x4 = 8 sq ft.
My veg tent with reflector is 316 true watts, so it would be 316 divided by 8, or 39.5 watts/ sq ft
My flower with 2 mars lights is 539 true watts, so it is 539 divided by 8, or 72.4 watts/sq ft

So for 4x4,, bare minimum lower yield, about 630 true watts , much better yield, 1060 true watts.
Just as an example, My Mars II 400 is really only drawing 177 watts.
:high-five:

I will have to make do with my mars 1200 this go but i will be getting more lighting and another tent soon. Thanks for the info.✌

I flower in a 4x4 with 400 watts, so 25 watts per sq ft.

I should be alright then, thanks for the input, i was a little woried that i wouldnt get a good yield with the mars 1200 (right at 600w actual ). Makes me fell better knowing you flower with 400w, and get good results.✌

I used the Mars II 1200 in the Mars 4x4. Harvested 555g dry from four Dark Devils in 98 days total in dwc. It will grow. :)

My first grow was just a mars hydro 300

Awesome, i love the light and i am seeing great results on day 28 with autos, i think it will do me just fine for now, i just wanted some opinions, i greatly appreciate the input, by the way how close did you keep your mars 1200 from top of your plants, i have mine at 24in now and they seem to be doing good.✌

I don't get tremendous yield, though that could be due to other factors. Things still don't go totally smooth start to finish for me. My best yield so far was about 1 1/4 ounce per plant though. Finished in 3 gallon pots, flowered when they were about 2 feet tall. I probably could have got a lot more just with larger pots and more veg time, not to mention without the random brown-thumb issue. Not to mention that's soil, I'd imagine a good DWC scrog setup could push out far more under 400w. Well I don't so much imagine as much as I've seen it done, but I try to stick with what I know, and I don't think an ounce per plant is a bad yield.

And I got 2 and a half dry off of one plant...I did add another light at the end but it wasnt bad at all
I appreciate the input, since im asking questions, i was wondering , i have to feed about every 5 or 6 days, should i use nutes everytime i feed or should i give plain ph water in between.✌

Watts/ft2 isn't a remotely viable way to measure LED efficiency. Ever. And I wish people would stop. The watts/ft2 descriptor was used with HIDs when the actual most efficient use descriptor has been and will always be, the footprint of the hood/PAR reading of the bulb.
For instance, a 1000w HPS in a typical hood has a usable efficient footprint of 5'x5', with about a 1'x1' outer edge totaling 6'x6'. A Gavita DE HPS runs 1100w with a typical footprint of 5'x7' prime.
An LED like a Mars Hydro typically has a usable footprint of about +8"-10"/sq. from the actual size of the light array when raised over the plants to adequate height-so a 12" square light's usable footprint is maybe 20" prime light. Of course, entry level LED lighting has shite canopy penetration, so one would have to SCROG for best results.
In a standard 4'x4' tent, an air cooled, 600w HPS bulb delivers so much more usable light than typical LEDs that it makes no sense to me why anyone wouldn't use them.
LED tech has come a long way, but it's got quite a ways to go until affordable, commercially available units come along that can compete with HID.
