Ase's Multi-Strain Quadlining In Coco

Day 59 Flower Multi-Strain, Day 32 Flower Tangerine Dream

Well my next few weeks look to be pretty insane in terms of work so hopefully this isn't the last update you guys see for a while! I may have a little time to do an update this weekend but we will see. I plan to harvest the Double Berry and Purple Trainwreck in 3 days and then space the GSC and DTF out so they can finish with enough space. At one point I will just have the GSC in one tent and the Tangerine Dream in the other and they both will be big plants so I'm excited for that and to see how both finish in the end.

The Tangerine Dream is still chugging along nicely and everything is looking as good as it can be. Hopefully I can keep saying that for about 40 more days and should be a nice reward at the end of it all. The smell of her is taking over my whole grow area and I'm digging it. Smells like I'm growing oranges in my room! Anyways all is well with her and I'm stoked to see her just get fatter and fatter for about 6 more weeks.

Sideshot.
Top shot.

I decided to just take a couple cool cola shots of each plant. Each one so far has been a pleasure to grow and they've all been so different. The Double Berry really isn't drinking much anymore and the Purple Trainwreck is drinking about half as normal. They are ready to come down. DTF is really starting to pack on weight and the GSC is noticeably thickening up. She will still be way behind the others but I can tell it's so going to be worth it.

Long GSC Spears. Still have white hairs and lots of hairs but lots turning amber.

Purple Trainwreck. Still showing some purple color. Colas are really starting to bend and some flop now.

Durban Thunderfuck. This plant has been just very steady and at a consistent pace the whole time. End result is going to be stellar.

Double Berry. This plant is representing for all the shorties out there. May be small in vertical height but she's got the thickest and best smelling colas. It's so hard to choose a favorite plant out of this run. It's been fun to watch everyone pick their favorites and have them all be different. Honestly though I think I am most excited that I will have 4 quality strains that are all pretty different on the scale of Indica to Sativa to consume, so the synergy of them all is what I am looking forward to most. This Double Berry is going to be my rock for the Indica and since I haven't had a great Indica in my stash for a while (and she smells so damn good) I think I secretly am most excited to smoke her.

Thanks for the tuto about the light green leaves! Garden as usual looks spectacular!

Ase....brother! Those plants are gorgeous man! You motivate me brother! Seeing that TG, man, what a gorgeous plant. :high-five:

Your DTF is looking a lot like mine. I know what you mean about packing on weight right now. I went to move my DTF yesterday (I have two plants on a big flat dolly) and as I was watering the other plant the DTF (being grown untopped so its got a liter bottle size main cola) went from standing straight up to flopping about 100 degrees. About shit myself when I popped up from watering the other plant to see her laying flat and then some. I staked her up and she seems to be doing ok, but damn man that main cola is so freaking heavy. Its incredibly dense for a sativa. Mine is still throwing a lot of white pistils on the main. Not sure how much longer, but I am guessing at least two weeks for me. Mine is on day 65 from flip. :hmmmm: Could be three weeks still, she's still drinking steady.

Wowza Ase! I’m getting caught up everywhere and I was excited to get over here and check things out! Everything is looking spot on and that’s tangie is something else! You have inspired me to fill my 2x2 with a single qaudline next round so I’m excited to pursue that just not sure what strain yet! Haha

Hope your doing well

Day 64 Flower Multi-Strain, Day 37 Flower Tangerine Dream

A lot has happened in the last couple days and the multi-strain tent is now down to two plants left. I harvested the Purple Trainwreck as well as the Double Berry. The Purple Trainwreck was a really floppy plant and had a hard time holding up it's dense flowers so I really didn't take any final pictures of it. I am pretty happy with her and I think she is going to yield well. Not sure why she was floppy and the others weren't but I am hoping that means she just got too fat and couldn't hold up.

The Double Berry I did manage to get some good pictures of. When I was trimming her the smell was very potent and very berry smelling. I really didn't expect too much out of her because of her size but these are some of the better colas I've seen on a plant. Super frosty and it is going to be an awesome Indica.

This now leaves just the DTF and the GSC in the tent. I looked at the DTF trichs through a magnifier and it has about 1/3 cloudy and 2/3 clear. I think I am going to give her one more week of nutrients and then flush her for a week. I'll check the trichs more often just to make sure she doesn't start turning faster but so far she just keeps steadily chugging along.

The GSC is going to benefit the most from the increased space. It'll help with air movement in the tent as well as getting it more light on all sides. The colas are really starting to chunk up finally and I'm guessing she has 3-4 weeks left. In the past I have been anxious to cut the last plant to start another grow but I'm in no rush right now. Also contemplating if I am going to use a tent this year just for growing stuff early for my outdoor veggie garden. If so I may not start a new round until the Tangerine Dream is done. Either way I want the GSC to get all the time she needs because she is looking killer. I know she is going to be a heavy girl so I put some supports into place now so she will have the extra support she needs.

Another plant that keeps looking killer is the Tangerine Dream. All I pretty much do right now is open the tent and feed her everyday. Outside of that I haven't really touched her since the big defoliation a couple weeks ago. I'm really happy with how she is fattening up and that everything just looks like it should health-wise for her.

As best a shot as I could get of the straight over her. Couldn't get it all in but tried.

Wow, nice work Ase! 70 sites! I like how you trim the plant while still living, gives you a good look at it. Do you chop after trim or give a dark period then chop? I always chop my plants at the base right at the end of the dark period so as to not give it a chance to start up taking water.

I usually chop after trim. I usually trim in the morning and my lights don't come on until noon. So I guess they are usually right at the end of the dark period, but that isn't intentional.

:bravo: Words can't describe that TangerineDream
Thanks HG! I am now past the point of thinking I am going to screw all this up and looking forward to finishing her over the next month. She's been such a pleasure to grow and easily the best plant I've ever had. I appreciate everyone's continued support of this Tangerine Dream adventure/experiment I decided to do. I think I've even surprised myself with this one.

They all look great Ase! Best plant you’ve ever grown is saying a lot. When I was first getting into growing I kept looking at pics of your white rhino. She was a bute. But this girl is definitely better...that’s saying a whole lot! Do us all a favor and let us know the last day of the month before you enter this magnificent plant in the contest! :bravo:

That White Rhino put me on the map in these forums and I was seriously stunned when I won. Still to this day I am a little shocked when people bring it up as a plant they admired but now looking back, I still haven't been able to grow anything just like it again. I got really lucky when I first started growing to have tried some new things and have them work out really well for me. Now we call it quadlining ;).
