Arteekay's Second Grow - Autos & Feminized - Mixed Strains

I agree, I'm dropping a few auto AK"s Saturday. Thanks to RTK I'll know what to expect.

Cheers

Loving it RTK, all toppings took well and are flourishing. I think we can change the rules for autos I think if you do it early enough you only lose a few days growth and extra Colas are totally worth it. Looking fantastic, you got a competent helper in jaybizzle awesome job on all those girls. Cheers!

Thanks Snid, I'm just trying to keep up :)

I think I might have stunted the Jack Herer too much, she's building thick stems and is getting super bushy, but she seems to have stopped growing upward or outward. We'll see. Not concerned though, this grow is all about pushing our newfound limits. I topped the already topped tops, I probably should have topped the tops from a node down when we went back in. Ah well, maybe next time.

New Early Miss seems to have taken her topping the best so far. Shouldn't be surprised after watching Britney in our first grow.

Having a team to grow is definitely easier, even if it's a team of two on a small grow.

Gonna journal that grow I hope? :)

Jan 29 Update. JH, CR, and NEM are 30 days old. DD is 19 days old. Temp is 73 and RH is 66% at the canopy, 72 and 70% at the top.

  • DD got around 2 liters of bubbled tap water at at 166 ppm and 5.9 PH.

Gotta get a journal post for the day, but really didn't have much time with them tonight.

DD (7.6 lbs before watering, 11.2 lbs after):

CR (15.6 lbs, down from 16.4 yesterday):

NEM (15.6 lbs, down from 16.8 yesterday):

Jaybiz pointed out that we had the two Early Miss girls on the table at the same time. These two are 47 days apart. Britney is in a tiny 1.5 gallon airpot, NEM in a 5 gallon fabric pot:

JH (14 lbs, down from 15.6 yesterday):
Got distracted by the above and then forgot to grab any pics of JH. She lost a couple of fan leaves just to try to open her up a little more for airflow. She had up to three layers of fan leaves sitting in a stack in a couple of places.

Back in the tent:

Love the shape of your plants. I dropped some beans and the race is on between autos and photos.

Cheers

Thanks millertm. Our photo is lagging a little behind the autos, but I think that's likely from a bit of a rough transplant into her final home. The CKS autos are exploding, I can barely keep up with them for training.

You left the JH photos out to keep me in suspense huh, ha-ha.
All looks great to me.
I have faith in JH.:thumb:

She's doing just fine, I honestly just spaced out on some Candy Cane and dropped the ball on my usual data collection.

See, I'm easily distra... SQUIRREL!

If you're wondering how to make a SCRoG frame I documented my build here

Max's First Grow - Soil - LED - Painkiller XL

I'm not saying it's the best way but it was cheap and effective. It's very easy to tuck shoots under to spread the top out.

Jaybiz had his mind set on a pvc frame for his scrog, but I'm going to be trying to convince him to screw rather than glue it together, and to use your idea of the separate 4 to 2 inch stringing. That looks like a fantastic idea to me.

Thanks for reminding me.

Looking good BTK(killer)...oh I mean RTK

Holy crap! How, in like 10 years of having rtk as a nickname, have I never made that connection?

I'm more of a Dahmer really. I've got one girl strung up and three in the freezer, so it fits. :)

Jan 30 Update. JH, CR, and NEM are 31 days old. DD is 20 days old. Temp is 72 and RH is 66% at the canopy, 71 and 71% at the top.

Another quiet day for these girls, all they needed was a little attention and some mild S&M (read LST).

Quite nice my friend. Buy a Cinex, they are self LST. They do breeding right here in Oregon. What is your option on Poly_Si? It has some K at 0,0,3 but I've heard great things. Kelp too, your thoughts?

Thanks.

Cheers

Beautiful LST job on your girls, rtk -- as usual your documentation of the process is very useful for all of us. Thank you for sharing it!

You're welcome guys. I can't take the credit for the separate stringing though. OlderGrower suggested it so I ran with his idea. I did toy with using poly pipe but wood just felt more natural and as a bonus costs far less than all those elbows and joins, plus if I hadn't thought it out right then it was easy to play about with it using wood. With pipe I may have had to keep going out for more elbows and whatnot.

Oh, yeah, I'm also a bit OCD and couldn't see the eye screws lining up perfectly in poly pipe. To make sure they lined up in wood I piloted all the holes first. Probably took an hour from start to finish.
