Arctic Bowl's 1st Ever Attempt At A Grow Journal

Update on the caps. Took one, waited like an hour, could feel a slight body buzz so grabbed a second one. Waited like 45 min and oh yes, that's the correct amount for me lol. My wife will try one today lol she was holding off until her "test rabbit" ( me) checked them out because of our 1st test we did with CCO  and didn't truely understand you absolutely can, get too stoned  that was for sure was a learning experience. :thumb:

We now have a much better understanding of just how little CCO it takes to bring on a nice buzz and the tiny amount that can send you on a trip you won't soon forget :jawdropper: lol. I have heard people say " I got too high" but had never been myself so kinda thought it was a fairytale. Lol , nope, true story, ain't a fairytale, one can get too high, I kinda enjoyed it but don't care to get that high for a while though :thumb:

Blessed Buds our friends and be well, have a great day :circle-of-love:

Well what do you know, our last Northern Lights Auto is getting Amber colors to her now. She will come down this week one evening but probably not tomorrow night. This was one slow auto flower to say the least, breeders timeline was 8-9 weeks from seed to harvest but this one went 14 weeks before the Amber trics started showing up. We were getting a little concerned with her taking so much longer than the other 2 northern lights autos but this was are topped one of that strain so we're chalking it up to that slowing her down.

Here's a few shots of the green crack and one purple kush photoperiod girls. They don't seem to upset that I boned up there lights and kept them on for 24/7, glad they are forgiving :-) gave a few buds a little snip at the tops to give some back building a try. The purple kush doesn't seem to building much for kolas just lots of smaller buds so maybe this will get it doing its thing or maybe not  have no idea but we're trying it anyways.

I must admit, I enjoy that overindulgent buzz myself, but not as an everyday experience. The first time it's disconcerting. Than you learn that it won't kill you, you will slow down eventually and it becomes a ride of choice, for special events. Nice to know you have such a delightful option, isn't it?

Enjoy the caps. :battingeyelashes: Such a wonderful hobby, and so good for your health.

I learned that you can press larfy buds right after you trim them. You tuck them in a corner of a baggie and press them into a cone that holds it shape. Dry normally. Pressed buds take longer to smoke, and some people like them. Sativas tend to be larfy, and can use a bit of pressing/shaping.

Ill pull up a chair in the back of the room and watch your grow show. :)

Keep em frosty ya'll

Thank you for coming by our little corner of the world and please feel free to move right up front and get a good look and we welcome everyone's suggestions for sure. Were learning so much and we expect that this learning will continue on for us, everyone that has helped us along, picking us up when we trip and fall has everything to do with us even making it to a harvest.

Lol now we can truely say that our Gaurdian Angel likes to party hard :thumb: which is pretty damn cool if you ask me. :circle-of-love: It's a fabulous option and one I'll enjoy again from time to time :cco: but my dear wife will not, it was pretty intense ( lol but I like living on the edge anyhow)

You have been such a wonderful, patient mentor!!!!!!!! +++++++++ REPS, no way we could have done this without your kind guidance Sue, my Mrs likes the caps but one is fine for her an gets her feeling it. I did these at very close to 30:1 because I knew she had low tolerance and I knew I wasn't ready for your party animal 5:1 caps but one day I will be

Thank you for dropping in Sue, it means a ton to both my wife and I. We know just how crazy busy you are and we are blessed to have your help!!!

Blessed Buds our Guardian Angel and be well :passitleft:

We may have to give that a try Thank You AK :-) waiting on our drying rack to show up from the rain forest so hope it will be a pluse.

Never heard of 'larfy' buds before, but instantly knew what it meant! :laughtwo: Great word, just gotta figure out how to use it with people that don't speak bud. :Namaste:

I'll get some pictures tomorrow didn't bother because couldn't post :-) we did harvest the last Northern Lights Auto and it's right at 4.5 oz. Wasn't expecting that but we will take it :thumb:

We did stop in and checked out one of our local shops that just opened. Bit of a line to get in  and felt strange going to a store to buy weed. It was the first day they were open and had just one strain to offer for right now but they are expecting more by next week once they clear the lab testing. Tested out a bit of the store bought bud last night, took a few rips on the bong and it was so so bud. Little harsh, not much for smell and looks rather low on the frosty goodness. I'll scope it tomorrow as well and compare what we have harvested to the store bought bud. Prices are not to bad at $320.00 /oz. , $20.00 a gram, $55.00 1/8. They did have seeds for sale but I didn't take time to look at those but it's great to know seeds are now local, just hope they get some great strains in. Seeds are three 5 packs for $110.00, my wife actually was the one that saw them but wasn't sure if they were regular seeds, fem seeds, autos or what not. We will go back in a week or so to check out seeds and see what other items show up. They have an area for edibles but nothing in stock yet. Time will tell how all this will pan out, has to be very tight gross margins if they are getting $320 oz retail that's with taxs. We will take some pics of how its packaged ( don't like not being able to see it) and what the bud looks like so you can all see.

So here is a few pics of how one of the shops up here packages its retail bud and what it looks like inside.

I'd rather be able to at least look at the buds we are buying

image37820.jpg

Buds are very flat and compacted as if they were vacume packed flat then some air allowed back into the package, no visible frosty goodness that we could see with the naked eye.

Yeah, I am imagining myself too, going into a shop to buy clones/seeds or buds.. The "oh no it is illegal" is well rooted in my head since I never lived in a county where it is legal.
Must be amazing, the first time in there :circle-of-love:

Daily hugs to you both :hugs:

That's exactly how we were feeling when we stopped by the shop lol. People all whispering in line waiting to get inside, it really was funny. Lots of stoners up here, we knew that, but had no idea just how many until we got in line  There is another store that opened mid week so I'm sure we will swing by and check them out as well. Once our temperatures drop below zero we won't be waiting in a line to get inside of any of these stores though unless they are giving away free pounds of buds, then maybe :laughtwo:

I'm not impressed. I wonder how long they cured them before selling? My Diesel Berry is begging to be harvested. You can smell it thru closed doors. We'll compare MY pics with this bud.
