Another Tabletop Crop: Carmen's Spring Grow With Vipar Spectra XS 1500 Pro

Sunday, and a proof of life pics. The plants are 19 days old today.

I hope you had a fantastic weekend. Thank you for looking in.

Hey Carmen,
The lil Gals look good❤️😎 They are off to a good start.

I have been behind but I am catching up on journals. Glad to be here now. I see you are contemplating 7 gallon pots but weight is a concern AND handles would be nice, well, Vivosun has actually thought about this too as luck would have it, and they fit perfectly into a milk crate for easier better lifting.

They are really well made and have loops in each corner to slide bamboo poles into for training. I use them for clone grows when I don't need 10 gallons. I bet autos would work really well in them.

These look fabulous! Thank you Gee. Really sturdy, and the milk crate idea is genius.

I decided to protect my back and stay with the 5 Gal pots after all, this next run though. The babies are in 1 Gal pots atm.

Good morning,

Today I watered my Red Russians to run-off for the first time. There wasn't a lot of run-off and I poured that back on top. A few days ago I moved the lights up to 50 % and the plants seem to be vegging nicely. They are 8 inches / 20 cm wide and between 4.5 and 6 inches tall.

RR1 is developing side branches and RR2 is a little behind. They are both still very small. I hope that they will grow big and tall. They are still immature and I see no sign of pistils yet at 22 days above ground.

Have a good hump day, and thank you for your company.

I'm still immature and I'm 65 years above ground! I see some nice lower branching on RR1. :thumb:
LOL! Thanks, I like how those branches are forming and it interests me that the RR1 displays the more vigorous growth of the two :thumb:

Growth has picked up speed for these two. They'll be up-potted soon to the 5 Gal / 20 L fabric pots.

As a matter of interest, having discussed the possibility of growing 30 L bags, I planted something else in a 30 L bag of potting soil and it is way too heavy for me to lift. I can't possibly use 30 L bags in that case.

There is not a lot of change but the plants are much bigger than they were yesterday. They are taking up more pot space today.

I noticed a couple of orange spots on one of the first leaves on RR1 yesterday. It hasn't spread. I'm hoping it's nothing.

And here they are.

Did someone say TGIF?

Thanks for following and have a great weekend.

Back @ ya CR! CL🍀. :thumb: :cheer:

I won't lie. I've just smashed my Friday frosty a little early. Got some tunes blasting and packing like a crazy man.
Just want to move and get my plants going.
They look great chom.
Lekker naweek
Sounds like a good elevated mood for packing chom. I hope it goes seamlessly. No news is good news as they say, so I take it your plants have recovered from the weather we had last weekend? I think I will head over to Rooftop420 and have a cold one and something to smoke. Lekker naweek.

I find that the light areas of variegation on my leaves will often go brown completely unrelated to anything else, and your #1 is pretty variegated.
Thank you. There's no more brown so I'm pleased.

What displeases me somewhat is that it appears that the two Red Russians are showing sex and it's early and I'm not sure if now is the right time to top them or if I must wait a little longer. @LKABudMan may I ask you please, is it time to top yet? Those pistils are showing at the 4th node.

Sorry I'm late. I didn't realize you had started a new journal. Your plants look great!

I believe @Justin Goody and @BooWho2 both top when there are signs of flowering.
